Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to paper for manufacturing an IC chip card, and an IC chip card formed using the paper.
A conventional non-contact type IC card has a configuration in which an IC chip or the like is mounted between resin plates such as plastic. In order to mount an IC chip or the like, an IC chip or the like is placed on a resin plate such as plastic and is bonded to another resin plate using an adhesive.
However, in an IC chip card using a paper base material, the IC chip card surface is uneven due to the thickness of the IC chip itself, and the IC chip card is torn starting from the unevenness. There was a problem that dirt was generated as the center of the irregularities on the surface.
Accordingly, a main object of the present invention is to provide an IC chip card paper that does not cause unevenness on the surface of the IC chip card even if the IC chip is mounted.
The present invention that has solved the above problems is as follows.
<Invention of
An IC chip card paper formed of a laminated paper having a multilayer structure of two or more layers, comprising at least a front surface layer and a back surface layer, wherein the IC chip is sandwiched between the back surface layers of the two IC chip card papers, An IC chip card characterized in that these IC chip card sheets are bonded together to form an IC chip card, and the density of the front surface layer is relatively higher than the density of the back surface layer. It is paper.
(Function and effect)
The IC chip card paper according to the present invention corresponds to a base paper for manufacturing an IC chip card. The IC chip card is prepared in advance with two IC chip card sheets, the IC chip is sandwiched between the back layers of the two IC chip card sheets, and the IC chip card is bonded to each other. Is formed.
At this time, by making the density of the surface layer relatively higher than the density of the back surface layer, the surface layer is a high-density layer and has excellent printing characteristics such as offset printing and inkjet printing on the surface of the IC chip card, Since it is difficult for paper dust to come out, the printed portion is not peeled off and the surface strength against friction can be improved. On the other hand, the back layer can be used as a cushion layer, and the IC chip can be sandwiched to absorb the thickness of the chip itself.
<Invention of
The invention according to
(Function and effect)
The IC chip card surface (including the back surface) is composed of a high-density layer of 0.60 to 0.90 g / cm 3 , so that it has excellent printing characteristics such as offset printing and ink jet printing on the surface of the IC chip card. In addition, since it is difficult for paper dust to come out, the printed part is not peeled off and the surface strength against friction can be improved. On the other hand, a low-density back layer of 0.30 to 0.55 g / cm 3 serves as a cushion layer. The IC chip can be sandwiched to absorb the thickness of the chip itself.
Further, by forming the surface of the IC chip card with a high-density layer and sandwiching the IC chip with the low-density layer, the thickness of the IC chip itself is difficult to appear on the surface of the IC chip card. In other words, there is no possibility that irregularities due to the thickness of the chip itself are generated on the surface of the IC chip card. As a result, it is possible to prevent the IC chip card itself from being torn or dirty starting from the unevenness, and the durability can be improved.
<Invention of
The invention according to
(Function and effect)
The thickness of the IC chip card paper is preferably 40 μm to 120 μm from the viewpoint that the high density layer maintains the rigidity of the IC chip card. On the other hand, the low-density layer is preferably 175 μm to 255 μm from the viewpoint that unevenness due to the thickness of the IC chip is not generated on the surface of the IC chip card.
<Invention of Claim 4>
Invention of Claim 4 is an IC chip card paper of any one of
(Function and effect)
If an acrylic adhesive, rubber adhesive, vinyl acetate adhesive, etc., having a low viscosity at room temperature is used as the adhesive to be applied to the back layer, the adhesive will remain at the time of application and storage after application. It penetrates into the inside of the paper and causes a problem of poor adhesion, which is not preferable as an IC chip card paper. On the other hand, high adhesive strength can be obtained by using hot melt as an adhesive and preventing penetration into the back layer by controlling viscosity at the dissolution temperature or cooling after application, etc. Suitable for chip card paper. In addition, the IC chip card paper is bonded to each other by hot melt that has been applied to the back layer in advance, so that the IC chip card can be mounted without using any other chemicals as an adhesive in the process of clamping the IC chip. It can be manufactured easily.
This hot melt is applied with a thickness of 10 to 200 μm, functions as an adhesive for bonding the IC chip card sheets to each other, and gives the IC chip card sheet itself rigidity. In addition, it is preferable to apply with a thickness of 50 to 150 μm from the viewpoint of obtaining sufficient adhesiveness and economical efficiency (cost reduction).
<Invention of Claim 5>
The invention according to claim 5 is an IC chip card formed by the IC chip card paper according to any one of
According to the present invention, there is an advantage that even if an IC chip is installed, irregularities are not generated on the surface of the IC chip card.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
The IC chip card paper according to the present invention is based on a multi-layered paper having a multilayer structure of at least two layers of a high-density layer and a low-density layer. Prior to the description of the structure of the IC chip card paper, the material of the IC chip card paper and the thermally expandable particles internally added to the low density layer will be described first.
(IC chip card paper material)
The pulp used as the raw material for the IC chip card paper is not limited in any kind. Pulp similar to that of normal paper can be used. For example, kraft pulp (KP), semi-chemical pulp (SCP), groundwood pulp (GP), and fiber materials other than wood, mainly made from conifers such as Douglas fir, radiata pine, cedar, and broad-leaved trees such as eucalyptus and oak From ground pulp, chemi-ground pulp (CGP), refiner ground pulp (RGP), etc., which are pulps that have been chemically treated with non-wood fibers such as kenaf, hemp, linter, cocoon, etc. One kind or several kinds can be appropriately selected and used. In addition, recycled paper can be used as the base paper, and as the used paper pulp, either deinked pulp (DIP) or waste pulp (WP) can be used. In addition, synthetic fibers made from organic fibers such as rayon fiber, acrylic fiber, polyamide fiber, polyester fiber, and inorganic fibers such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, alumina fiber, silica / arnosilicate fiber, rock wool fiber are also used. can do.
Further, in order to improve the opacity of the base paper, a filler can be added to these raw material pulps as in the case of ordinary paper. As the filler, for example, one or several kinds of clay, talc, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, aluminum oxide and the like can be appropriately selected and used.
Furthermore, when it is necessary to control the color of the IC chip card paper or when it is a colored paper, a dye can be added to the raw pulp as in the case of ordinary paper. As the dye, for example, one or several kinds of commercially available dyes such as direct dyes, cationic dyes, and basic dyes can be appropriately selected and used.
For example, a circular net paper machine, a K former paper machine, an ultra former paper machine, and a bell bond former paper machine can be used as the pulp paper machine. The wet paper obtained by papermaking can be dried using a Yankee dryer, a multi-cylinder dryer, a hot air dryer, an infrared dryer, or the like.
(Heat-expandable particles)
The low-density layer according to the present invention internally includes thermally foamable particles, and in the drying process, the foamed foam is made by the thermally foamable particle dryer, thereby realizing a low-density layer (cushion layer). . The thermally foamable particles that can be used in the present invention are those in which a low-boiling solvent is encapsulated in a fine particle outer shell of a thermoplastic synthetic resin. An average particle diameter is 5-30 micrometers, and a diameter expands 4-5 times and a volume 50-130 times by heating at 80-200 degreeC. When the volume expansion of the thermally foamable particles is less than 50 times, the expansion rate of the cushion layer is lowered. On the other hand, when the volume expansion of the thermally foamable particles exceeds 130 times, the paper strength such as the peel strength of the cushion layer is lowered. On the other hand, if the particle size of the heat-expandable particles is less than 5 μm, the yield of the heat-expandable particles at the time of papermaking is deteriorated and the expansion rate of the cushion layer is lowered. On the other hand, when the particle size of the heat-expandable particles exceeds 30 μm, the yield of the heat-expandable particles at the time of papermaking is poor and the expansion rate of the cushion layer is low as in the case where the particle size is less than 5 μm.
Examples of the thermoplastic synthetic resin constituting the outer shell include copolymers such as vinylidene chloride, acrylonitrile, acrylic acid ester, and methacrylic acid ester. Examples of the low boiling point solvent enclosed in the outer shell include isobutane, pentane, petroleum ether, hexane, low boiling point halogenated hydrocarbon, and methylsilane.
Thermo-expandable particles are heated above the softening point of the thermoplastic synthetic resin that forms the outer shell, and simultaneously the low-boiling solvent encapsulated is vaporized, the vapor pressure rises, and the outer shell expands to form closed cells. To do. The heating for expanding the thermally foamable particles can be performed along with the dryer treatment for drying the wet paper, but can be performed again thereafter.
The heat-expandable particles are desirably contained in a proportion of 1 to 30% by mass with respect to the mass in terms of the absolute dry basis weight of the entire multilayer paper including the high-density layer and the low-density layer. If the blending amount of the heat-expandable particles is less than 1% by weight with respect to the absolute dry basis weight of the entire multilayer paper, the particles do not foam sufficiently and the bulk (ie, thickness) required for the cushion layer is generated. Therefore, the desired cushioning property cannot be obtained. On the other hand, when the blending amount exceeds 30% by weight, the cushioning property is increased, but the paper strength such as the peel strength of the cushion layer is lowered and the paper is easily broken.
Examples of the heat-foamable particles include Matsumoto Crosssphere F-30, F-46, F-20D, F-50D, F-80D of Matsumoto Yushi Seiyaku Co., Ltd., and Expandpan WU of Nippon Philite Co., Ltd. The same DU or the like can be used. However, the present invention is not limited to this.
(Structure of IC chip card paper)
The IC
As shown in FIG. 3, an
More specifically, the
In this case, the low density layers 12 and 12 serve as cushion layers, sandwich the
As described above, IC
Moreover, it is preferable that the surface strength of the high-
Further, by forming the surface of the
The thickness of the IC
Further, the basis weight of the IC
In the present embodiment, the case of two layers is shown, but it should be understood that the present invention is not limited to two layers. For example, the back layer itself formed of a low-density layer may be made into two layers, and when the back layer itself is made into two layers, the above-described density, thickness and basis weight are realized as the entire back layer of the two layers. It only has to be done. The same applies to the surface layer.
The hot melt is applied to the low density layers (back surface layers) 12 and 12, and the IC
The hot melt is preferably one having a low tackiness at room temperature after coating on IC chip card paper. If there is a tackiness, for example, the IC
As the hot melt, EVA system is suitable, and for example, Instant Lock ZM105T manufactured by Nippon NSC Co., Ltd., PHC-9250-J manufactured by Nippon Fuller Co., Ltd., etc. can be considered.
In this embodiment, the IC chip card papers are bonded to each other by hot melt previously applied to the back layer, but a separate adhesive is used without previously applying the hot melt to the back layer. Then, the IC chip card sheets may be bonded to each other.

(Multilayer paper)
As an example, a three-layer paper made of a surface layer, a first back layer, and a second back layer is used. This three-layered paper is laminated from top to bottom in the order of the surface layer, the first back layer, and the second back layer. For the surface layer, a slurry composed of 20% softwood bleached kraft pulp (NBKP) and 80% hardwood bleached kraft pulp (LBKP) was adjusted to 500 ml Canadian Standard Freeness (CSF), and 20 kg / t of sulfuric acid band was internally added. Used. On the other hand, as a 1st back surface layer and a 2nd back surface layer, what adjusted the pulp slurry which consists of NBKP30% and LBKP70% to CSF550ml, sulfuric acid band 30kg / t, and thermally foamable particle (Matsumoto Yushi Seiyaku Co., Ltd. make) (Product name: Matsumoto Microsphere F-30D) 8 kg / t internally added was used as a raw material. These are combined with a circular multi-layer paper machine in a three-layer structure of a surface layer, a first back surface layer, and a second back surface layer, and PVA (manufactured by Nippon Synthetic Chemical Co., Ltd., Gohsenol N300) is formed on the surface of the surface layer. Was coated with a calendar so that the coating amount was 1.5 g / m 2 to obtain an IC chip paper.
(Measurement method of basis weight)
After the IC chip card paper is immersed in water, it is separated into IC chip card paper, and the “surface layer” and “back layer” are peeled off, dried with a drum-type sheet dryer, returned to the standard state, and each basis weight ( g / m 2 ) was measured. In this case, the “back surface layer” means a combination of the first back surface layer and the second back surface layer.
(Measurement method of thickness and density)
Regarding the thickness of the IC chip card paper, the cross section of the IC chip card paper was observed with an electron microscope, and the thicknesses of the front surface layer and the back surface layer were measured. The density was calculated from the basis weight and thickness of the front surface layer and the back surface layer.
(Manufacture of IC chip cards)
First, a hot melt agent heated and melted at 140 ° C. was applied to IC chip card paper using a coater machine. Then, the two IC chip card sheets coated with hot melt are brought into contact with each other, an IC chip having a thickness of 100 μm is sandwiched between them, and a hot plate heated to 150 ° C. is used to form the IC chip card sheet. Was sandwiched at a pressure of 2 kgf / cm 2 for 5 seconds, and the IC chip was fused to the IC chip card paper to obtain an IC chip card.

* 1… Blocking evaluation: 50 IC chip card paper samples coated with hot melt were stacked, applied with a load of 3 kgf / cm 2 in an environment of 20 ° C. and 65% RH, and peeled off by hand after 24 hours. evaluated.
A: There is no blocking.
X: Blocking occurred.
* 2: Adhesive strength evaluation: The adhesive strength was evaluated by peeling the IC chip card holding the IC chip by hand.
A: Adhesion is sufficient and the paper layer is broken and peeled off.
〇… Adhesive strength is slightly low but no problem.
×: Easily peeled off.
By changing the material of the hot melt, there is no change in the unevenness evaluation. However, in the rubber system, blocking occurs, which is not preferable for adhesion of IC chip card paper.
In samples 5 to 11, the hot melt coating thickness was changed. When the coating thickness is less than 10 μm, adhesion failure occurs, and when it exceeds 200 μm, the hot melt protrudes so much that it is difficult to make the thickness of the IC chip card uniform, which is inappropriate.
