The file plate 2a or the (water resistant) 2b is attached to the cutting board 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

Description

This device relates to a new method for improving the sharpness of knives and to uniting the tool into a part of the slab.

Conventionally, when sharpening knives, (1) temporarily suspending the slab and knife work (2) searching for a grindstone (3) immersing the grindstone in water for a minimum of 20-30 minutes in advance (4) a certain appropriate blade There is a minimum of five processes, such as holding the knife at a certain angle and sharpening with a certain force. (5) Thoroughly wash away the sharpened scrap of the kitchen knife that has been sharpened, and it requires considerable effort, technique, knack and perseverance There was also a risk of injury to the fingertips. Maintaining a constant and accurate angle and sharpening to the end is not normal for amateurs. In fact, as a result of many sharpening, the cutting edge cannot be maintained at a certain suitable sharpening angle. It becomes a rounded, so-called round blade, and the sharpness worsens. During this time, the work interruption time is also quite long.

Therefore, the above

Devise methods and tools that can improve the sharpness of kitchen knives with no need for (2), (3), (4), and (5) and without interruption of long-term slab work and risk of injury. Is an issue.

(1) The new method is completely different from the conventional method of sharpening knives, and this method consists in attaching serrated teeth to the knife. As a tool for attaching a saw-tooth, a bowl-shaped board or a (water-resistant) paper file is used. (Hereinafter referred to as a slat.) Tilt the kitchen knife to the right or left and slide it lightly or leftward to lightly stroke the top of the plate to add saw-tooth teeth to the cutting edge (also called scratching). [Refer to Fig. 3] Compared to the conventional method, compared to the conventional method of sharpening a knife with a conventional grindstone,

There is no need for (2), (3), (4), and (5), and there is no risk of injuries and interruption of long-time slabs, making it possible to improve the sharpness of the knife very easily. Here is another way to explain how to improve the sharpness of new knives. When working on a slab, the knives will be brought to the end with the knives. By simply stroking the board as before, the sharpness of the knife will be improved.
(2) The material of the slab is not rusting, and the following (1) and (2) materials can be used and processed. (1) Part of the right side, left side, top left, top right, etc. of a general-purpose synthetic resin plate, such as a grinder (sander) blade material used for processing stone, unglazed flat plate, rough seto, etc. Used to join. Consider making it detachable and replaceable. (2) (Water resistant) A paper file is processed into a ring shape, and a part of the plate is cut and attached. Of course, detachable and replaceable are also considered. (It is not always ring-shaped.) Users who use both sides of the mortar board for cooking meat and fish may use the (waterproof) paper file as it is, but users who use only one side of the mortar board have used and worn to some extent ( Water resistant paper can be economically used if it is rotated 180 degrees and reused.
(1) is for high quality, and (2) is for economy products.
In addition, the said board does not protrude from a board, and it is not necessary to protrude at all. I want to install the board and the board in the same plane. Moreover, both sides can be used. We want to make it possible to use the board even if it is used upside down.
(3) In order to acquire the appropriate angle to apply and tilt the knife to the plate, place the knife on the blade surface where the knife hits the plate with an oil pen or the like about 5 mm wide and place the knife on the plate as described above. If you boil, the oil pen will come off where the knife is hitting the slab, so you can learn and learn the appropriate angle to tilt the knife. It is possible to achieve the purpose of accurately attaching serrated teeth to the cutting edge. [See Fig. 4]

(1) The function of the existing sharpener was only to make the knife edge thin and sharp (to make the blade as thin as possible, like a razor blade or cutter knife, to increase the shearing force). Although it is possible to simply cut an object with a force from top to bottom and push it with force, it is difficult to cleanly cut the cross section. (This means cutting to minimize damage so as not to destroy the cells as much as possible.) The sharpness of the blade is not increased just by making the blade edge sharp in order to cut, push, and move it back and forth in the correct usage of the kitchen knife. In an easy-to-understand analogy, if you cut with only a downward force, if you cut the onion, the cells will be crushed, and as a result, the tears will not stop. That is, it cannot be cut. You simply won't get much of a kitchen knife with a function like a cocoon that lacks weight.
(2) In order to improve the sharpness of a sharp knife with a sharpener or the like, and the sharpness of the knife, the blade has a saw-tooth shape. Therefore, if the sword is used on a part of the surface of the sword, and the sharpness falls, put the knife edge on it, lay the blade and boil it several times to the right or left, and slide it. Can be achieved.
Even with this method, the same effect can be expected as when the main profession polishes the knife with a grindstone. Even if the cutting edge is made very thin with a sharpener, etc., sharpness like sharpening with a grindstone cannot be expected. In short, sharpening a knife with just a sharpener will not achieve the original purpose of the knife. Therefore, it is possible to make a sharp knife only by attaching serrated teeth to the knife blade with this tool.
