Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for sterilizing PET containers such as beverage bottles.
As a method of sterilizing a container such as a bottle applied to an aseptic filling machine, a method of sterilizing a container by spraying an aqueous solution of peracetic acid or hydrogen peroxide on the container as disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent No. 2851373 is known. Yes. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-224469 discloses that hydrogen peroxide sprayed in a chamber is heated and vaporized, and then hydrogen peroxide is condensed in air to form a bactericide mist. A method for sterilization by contacting with a liquid is disclosed.
As an aseptic filling system for PET bottles and the like, there is an in-line type system that consistently performs from bottle molding to filling of contents on the same line. In this system, a processing capacity of about 500 to 1000 bottles per minute is desired, and in order to achieve this, reduction of the time required for bottle sterilization is a problem. However, the conventional method of spraying hydrogen peroxide water uses high-concentration hydrogen peroxide, so the sterilization ability is sufficient, but hydrogen peroxide adsorbs and penetrates into the surface of the plastic container, The removal takes time and the sterilization process cannot be shortened.
An object of this invention is to provide the sterilization method which can sterilize various PET containers at high speed and reliably, the apparatus suitable for it, and the heating method of a PET container.
The present invention will be described below. In order to facilitate understanding of the present invention, reference numerals in the accompanying drawings are appended in parentheses, but the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment.
In the sterilization method of the present invention, a step of introducing a mist of a bactericide into the PET container (1) and a step of discharging the mist from the PET container while heating the PET container into which the mist has been introduced. And the step of cleaning the inside of the PET container from which the mist has been discharged.
The mist of the bactericide is produced by condensing the bactericide drops and then condensing them, so that the concentration is high and the sterilization can be performed efficiently. After the mist is introduced, the sterilizing effect is improved by heating the PET container, and at the same time, the penetration of the sterilizing agent component into the PET container is suppressed, so that the sterilizing component easily floats on the surface of the PET container. Moreover, by discharging the mist drifting in the internal space of the PET container, it is possible to prevent the excessive sterilizing agent from adhering to the inner surface of the PET container from the viewpoint of the sterilizing effect, and the penetration of the sterilizing agent into the PET container. Can be more effectively suppressed. Then, by washing the PET container after discharging the mist, the disinfectant adsorbed and permeated into the PET container can be washed away to reduce the residual concentration of the disinfectant to the minimum.
The sterilization method of the present invention may include a step of preheating the PET container prior to the introduction of the mist. By performing preheating, a high sterilization effect can be exhibited from the beginning of the mist introduction, and sterilization can be performed efficiently in a short time. It is possible to more effectively suppress the penetration of the bactericide component into the PET container.
In the preliminary heating step, in addition to heating the entire PET container, the mouth (1a) of the PET container may be separately heated. Alternatively, in the preliminary heating step, hot air may be sent into the PET container to heat the entire PET container, and the mouth (1a) of the PET container may be separately heated. Since the mouth is less likely to rise in temperature compared to other parts, the effect of the preheating can be more effectively brought out by heating this part separately. The supply of hot air into the PET container is preferably performed from a nozzle inserted in the PET container. The mouth can be heated by, for example, a method of blowing hot air from the outside of the mouth.
In the sterilization method of the present invention, a predetermined holding time may be provided after the introduction of the mist and before the discharge of the mist is started. By providing the holding time, the mist can be brought into uniform contact with the inner surface of the PET container and sterilized reliably. The holding time can also be used as the transportation time of the PET container from the step of introducing mist to the step of discharging mist.
A predetermined waiting time may be provided after the discharge of the mist and before the cleaning of the PET container is started. If it does in this way, a disinfectant can be certainly lifted on the surface of a container made of PET, and a cleaning effect can be heightened. The waiting time can also be used as the transportation time of the PET container from the step of discharging the mist to the step of cleaning.
In the sterilization method of the present invention, hot air may be sent into the PET container into which the mist has been introduced to heat the PET container and discharge the mist. In this way, it is possible to efficiently discharge the mist and heat the PET container.
In the washing step, a heated washing solution may be introduced into the PET container. If the cleaning liquid is heated, it is possible to obtain a high cleaning effect by promoting the bleeding of the bactericide onto the PET container surface by the heat.
The sterilizing apparatus of the present invention comprises means (16) for introducing a mist of a bactericide into a PET container (1), means (17) for heating the PET container into which the mist has been introduced, and the PET container. By providing means (17) for discharging the mist from the inside and means (19) for cleaning the inside of the PET container from which the mist has been discharged, the above-mentioned problems are solved.
Further, another sterilization apparatus of the present invention includes a means (16) for introducing a mist of a bactericide into a PET container (1) and a means (17) for sending hot air into the PET container into which the mist is introduced. And the means (19) for cleaning the inside of the PET container solve the above-mentioned problems.
According to these apparatuses, the mist of the bactericide is introduced into the PET container, and the mist is discharged from the PET container while heating the PET container into which the mist has been introduced. Since the inside of a container can be wash | cleaned, the sterilization method of this invention is realizable.
The sterilization apparatus of the present invention may include means for preheating the PET container prior to the introduction of the mist. As the preheating means, there may be provided means for sending hot air into the PET container to heat the entire PET container, and means for heating the mouth of the PET container from the outside. As the means for cleaning, a means for introducing a heated cleaning liquid into the PET container may be provided. The supply of hot air into the PET container is preferably performed from a nozzle inserted in the PET container.
Furthermore, the method for heating a PET container according to the present invention heats the entire PET container by feeding hot air from a nozzle (2) inserted into the PET container (1), and the mouth of the PET container. The part (1a) is heated separately.
According to this heating method, hot air can be reliably introduced into the PET container from the nozzle inserted into the PET container. In addition, by separately heating the mouth portion that is difficult to rise in temperature, the entire PET container can be reliably and quickly heated to a desired temperature. Therefore, if this heating method is applied in the preheating step in the sterilization method of the present invention, it can contribute to speeding up the sterilization treatment. In addition, the heating method of the PET container of the present invention is not limited to preheating in the sterilization treatment of the PET container, but can be used in any case where heating of the PET container is required.
As described above, according to the sterilization method and apparatus of the present invention, the PET container into which the bactericide mist is introduced is heated to enhance the bactericidal effect by the mist, and the penetration of the bactericide component into the PET container is achieved. In addition, the mist of the excess bactericide drifting in the PET container is forcibly discharged to further effectively prevent the bactericidal component from penetrating into the PET container. Since the sterilizing agent that has been washed and adsorbed and permeated into the PET container is washed away, the inner surface of the PET container can be reliably sterilized in a short time while minimizing the residual concentration of the sterilizing agent.
Further, according to the method for heating a PET container of the present invention, the mouth part that does not easily rise in temperature can be separately heated to reliably and rapidly heat the entire PET container to a desired temperature. Use in the preheating step can contribute to speeding up the sterilization treatment.
FIG. 1: has shown the outline | summary of the disinfection procedure of the bottle for drinks concerning one Embodiment of this invention. In this sterilization method, first, as shown in FIG. 1 (a), a
The
The aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and compressed air supplied from the
Drop-like hydrogen peroxide supplied to the inside of the vaporizing tube 37 is vaporized by the heat of the
After supplying the mist, the
The holding time after the introduction of the bactericide mist until the start of hot air blowing is preferably in the range of 1.0 to 10 seconds. The hot air may be blown in a range in which all of the mist drifting inside the
After the supply of hot air, the
The standby time until the start of the supply of sterile water after the supply of hot air is stopped is preferably in the range of 0.1 to 10 seconds. Sterile water may be at room temperature, but heating is preferable because it improves cleaning efficiency. The temperature of the cleaning liquid is preferably in the range of 40 ° C to 80 ° C. Since the permeation of hydrogen peroxide into the
FIG. 4 shows an example of an aseptic filling system using the sterilization method described above. The aseptic filling system has an
The
The
A holding
The
The
The
In addition, this invention is not limited to the above embodiment, It can implement with a various form. The discharging of the mist from the
The sterilization treatment was carried out on the PET bottle (polyethylene terephthalate bottle) having a capacity of 500 ml while changing the detailed conditions according to the following procedure.
1. The bottle was preheated by supplying hot air of 0.1 m 3 / min from a nozzle with an inner diameter of 10 mm to the inside of the bottle. The temperature of the hot air was set to 105 ° C. to 125 ° C. near the tip of the nozzle, and the insertion amount of the nozzle into the bottle was set to 30 mm. At the same time, hot air of 85 ° C. was blown from the nozzle with an inner diameter of 50 mm toward the mouth of the bottle at a flow rate of 0.1 m 3 per minute. Note that the number of nozzles for heating the mouth was two for one bottle. The hot air blowing time from each nozzle was set to 3 seconds. The temperature in the bottle after completion of the hot air blowing reached 50 ° C.
2. After stopping the hot air blowing, the bottle was left for 1 second, and then hydrogen peroxide mist was blown into the bottle for 0.6 seconds. The amount of hydrogen peroxide attached to the inner surface of the bottle was 15 to 40 μl in terms of a 35 wt% hydrogen peroxide solution.
3. After completion of the mist blowing, the bottle was left for 0.5 to 3.5 seconds. Thereafter, a nozzle was inserted into the bottle and hot air was blown in for 1 second. The inner diameter of the nozzle, the amount of insertion, the temperature and flow rate of hot air are the same as in preheating.
4). After blowing hot air, the bottle was left for 1 to 3.5 seconds. Thereafter, the bottle was inverted, a nozzle with an inner diameter of 6 mm was inserted into the bottle, and aseptic water heated to 70 ° C. was sent in for 3 seconds to wash the inside of the bottle. The flow rate of sterile water was 8.5 liters per minute.
Moreover, some processes were abbreviate | omitted and sterilized.
殺菌効果=log(付着菌数/生残菌数)
For each sterilization condition, sterilize 5 bottles with 10 3 , 10 4 , 10 5 Bacillus subtilis spores, and aseptically dispense tryptosoy bouillon medium into the bottles, and culture and sterilize The presence or absence of sex was evaluated. From the test results under each sterilization condition, the number of surviving bacteria is calculated stochastically with the most probable number (MPN), and the logarithmic value of the number of adherent bacteria and the number of surviving bacteria is obtained by the following formula to sterilize The effect was evaluated.
Bactericidal effect = log (number of adherent bacteria / number of surviving bacteria)
The following points can be confirmed from the above table.
Next, when the
