Description
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for sterilizing PET bottles for beverages.
As an aseptic filling system for PET bottles and the like, there is an in-line type system that consistently performs from bottle molding to filling of contents on the same line. In this system, a processing capacity of about 500 to 1000 bottles per minute is desired, and in order to achieve this, reduction of the time required for bottle sterilization is a problem. However, the conventional method of spraying hydrogen peroxide water uses high-concentration hydrogen peroxide, so the sterilization ability is sufficient, but hydrogen peroxide adsorbs and penetrates into the surface of the plastic container, The removal takes time and the sterilization process cannot be shortened.
An object of this invention is to provide the sterilization method which can sterilize various PET bottles rapidly and reliably, and an apparatus suitable for it.
The present invention will be described below. In order to facilitate understanding of the present invention, reference numerals in the accompanying drawings are appended in parentheses, but the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment.
The present invention is, in terms of its tip nozzle is inserted into the PET bottle to be positioned in the transition region of the diameter of the PET bottle, the entire PET bottle by blowing hot air into the PET bottle from the nozzle tip A preheating step of heating the entire PET bottle to a desired temperature by blowing hot air from the outside to the mouth of the PET bottle, which is difficult to rise in temperature, and condenses after vaporizing hydrogen peroxide droplets once A step of generating hydrogen peroxide mist, a sterilization step of introducing the hydrogen peroxide mist into the preheated PET bottle to sterilize the inner surface of the PET bottle, and PET having the inner surface sterilized Hot air is sent into the bottle, and the PET bottle is heated with the hot air to enhance the sterilization effect by the hydrogen peroxide mist, so that hydrogen peroxide penetrates into the PET bottle. In addition, the nozzle is inserted into the PET bottle so that its tip is positioned in the transition region of the diameter of the PET bottle, and hot air is blown into the PET bottle from the tip of the nozzle to heat the entire PET bottle. In addition, a preheating step of heating the entire PET bottle to a desired temperature by blowing hot air from the outside to the mouth portion of the PET bottle, which is difficult to rise in temperature, and once the hydrogen peroxide droplets are vaporized, they are condensed. A step of generating hydrogen oxide mist, a step of introducing the hydrogen peroxide mist into the pre-heated PET bottle and sterilizing the inner surface of the PET bottle, and introducing the mist for a predetermined holding time. After placing, hot air is sent into the PET bottle, and the PET bottle is heated with the hot air to enhance the sterilization effect by hydrogen peroxide mist. A PET bottle which suppresses penetration into the bottle and discharges the mist drifting in the PET bottle to the outside of the PET bottle and introduces a heated cleaning liquid into the PET bottle from which the mist has been discharged. A PET bottle sterilization method comprising a step of cleaning the inside is adopted.
A step of generating hydrogen oxide mist, a sterilization step of sterilizing the inner surface of the PET bottle by introducing the mist of hydrogen peroxide into the preheated PET bottle, and a PET bottle having the inner surface sterilized Hot air is sent into the inside, and the PET bottle is heated with the hot air to enhance the sterilization effect by the hydrogen peroxide mist, thereby suppressing the penetration of hydrogen peroxide into the PET bottle. Then, a step of discharging the mist drifting in the PET bottle to the outside of the PET bottle, and a predetermined waiting time after discharging the mist, introducing a cleaning solution heated in the PET bottle to introduce the PET bottle A PET bottle sterilization method comprising a step of cleaning the inside is adopted.
Since the hydrogen peroxide mist is generated by once vaporizing hydrogen peroxide droplets and condensing, it has a high concentration and can be sterilized efficiently. After the mist is introduced, the sterilizing effect is improved by heating the PET bottle, and at the same time, the permeation of hydrogen peroxide into the PET bottle is suppressed and the hydrogen peroxide easily floats on the surface of the PET bottle. In addition, by discharging the mist drifting in the interior space of the PET bottle, excess hydrogen peroxide is prevented from adhering to the inner surface of the PET bottle from the viewpoint of the sterilization effect, and the hydrogen peroxide to the PET bottle is Can be more effectively suppressed. Then, by washing the PET bottle after discharging the mist, the hydrogen peroxide adsorbed and permeated into the PET bottle can be washed away to reduce the residual concentration of hydrogen peroxide to the minimum.
The sterilization method of the present invention may include a step of preheating the PET bottle prior to the introduction of the mist. By performing preheating, a high sterilization effect can be exhibited from the beginning of the mist introduction, and sterilization can be performed efficiently in a short time. The penetration of hydrogen peroxide into the PET bottle can be more effectively suppressed.
In the preliminary heating step, in addition to heating the entire PET bottle, the mouth portion (1a) of the PET bottle may be separately heated. Alternatively, in the preliminary heating step, hot air may be sent into the PET bottle to heat the entire PET bottle, and the mouth (1a) of the PET bottle may be separately heated. Since the mouth is less likely to rise in temperature compared to other parts, the effect of the preheating can be more effectively brought out by heating this part separately. The supply of hot air into the PET bottle is preferably performed from a nozzle inserted in the PET bottle. The mouth can be heated by, for example, a method of blowing hot air from the outside of the mouth.
In the sterilization method of the present invention, a predetermined holding time may be provided after the introduction of the mist and before the discharge of the mist is started. By providing the holding time, the mist can be brought into uniform contact with the inner surface of the PET bottle and can be sterilized reliably. The holding time can also be used as the transportation time of the PET bottle from the step of introducing mist to the step of discharging mist.
A predetermined waiting time may be provided after the discharge of the mist and before the cleaning of the PET bottle is started. If it does in this way, hydrogen peroxide can be made to float on the surface of a PET bottle reliably, and the cleaning effect can be improved. The waiting time can also be used as the transportation time of the PET bottle from the step of discharging the mist to the step of cleaning.
In the sterilization method of the present invention, hot air may be sent to the PET bottle into which the mist has been introduced to heat the PET bottle and discharge the mist. In this way, it is possible to efficiently discharge the mist and heat the PET bottle.
In the washing step, a heated washing solution may be introduced into the PET bottle. If the cleaning liquid is heated, the heat can promote the permeation of hydrogen peroxide to the surface of the PET bottle, and a high cleaning effect can be obtained.
In the sterilization apparatus of the present invention, the nozzle is inserted into the PET bottle so that the tip thereof is located in the transition region of the diameter of the PET bottle, and then hot air is blown into the PET bottle from the tip of the nozzle. A preheating means for heating the whole PET bottle to a desired temperature by blowing hot air from another nozzle to the outside of the mouth of the PET bottle, which is difficult to rise in temperature, and a drop of hydrogen peroxide Means for condensing and generating hydrogen peroxide mist once vaporized, means for introducing the hydrogen peroxide mist into the preheated PET bottle, and sterilizing the PET bottle inner surface, Hot air is sent into a PET bottle whose inner surface is sterilized, and the PET bottle is heated with the hot air to enhance the sterilization effect by hydrogen peroxide mist. Means for suppressing penetration into the bottle and discharging the mist drifting in the PET bottle to the outside of the PET bottle, and introducing a heated cleaning liquid into the PET bottle from which the mist has been discharged Means for cleaning the inside of the bottle.
In the PET bottle sterilization apparatus, the preliminary heating means, the sterilization means, the discharge means, and the cleaning means are sequentially arranged along a continuous turning path formed by a plurality of turntables, Pre-heating by blowing hot air to the bottle moving, sterilization by hydrogen peroxide mist generated after vaporizing hydrogen peroxide droplets, discharging hydrogen peroxide mist by blowing hot air and hydrogen peroxide You may make it perform washing | cleaning in order.
According to these apparatuses, the mist of hydrogen peroxide is introduced into the PET bottle, and the mist is discharged from the PET bottle while heating the PET bottle into which the mist has been introduced. Since the inside of the bottle can be washed, the sterilization method of the present invention can be realized.
The sterilization apparatus of the present invention may include means for preheating the PET bottle prior to the introduction of the mist. As the preheating means, there may be provided means for sending hot air into the PET bottle to heat the whole PET bottle and means for heating the mouth of the PET bottle from the outside. As the means for washing, a means for introducing a heated washing solution into the PET bottle may be provided. The supply of hot air into the PET bottle is preferably performed from a nozzle inserted in the PET bottle.
As described above, according to the sterilization method and apparatus of the present invention, the penetration of hydrogen peroxide into the PET bottle while heating the PET bottle introduced with the hydrogen peroxide mist to enhance the sterilization effect by the mist. In addition, the excess hydrogen peroxide mist drifting in the PET bottle is forcibly discharged to prevent hydrogen peroxide from penetrating into the PET bottle more effectively. Since the bottle is washed and the hydrogen peroxide absorbed and permeated into the PET bottle is washed away, it is possible to reliably sterilize the inner surface of the PET bottle in a short time while minimizing the residual concentration of hydrogen peroxide. it can.
FIG. 1: has shown the outline | summary of the disinfection procedure of the bottle for drinks concerning one Embodiment of this invention. In this sterilization method, first, as shown in FIG. 1 (a), the
The
The aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and compressed air supplied from the
Drop-like hydrogen peroxide supplied to the inside of the vaporizing tube 37 is vaporized by the heat of the
After supplying the mist, the
The holding time after the introduction of the bactericide mist until the start of hot air blowing is preferably in the range of 1.0 to 10 seconds. The hot air may be blown in a range in which all of the mist drifting inside the
After the supply of hot air, the
The standby time until the start of the supply of sterile water after the supply of hot air is stopped is preferably in the range of 0.1 to 10 seconds. Sterile water may be at room temperature, but heating is preferable because it improves cleaning efficiency. The temperature of the cleaning liquid is preferably in the range of 40 ° C to 80 ° C. Since the permeation of hydrogen peroxide into the
FIG. 4 shows an example of an aseptic filling system using the sterilization method described above. The aseptic filling system has an

The

In addition, this invention is not limited to the above embodiment, It can implement with a various form. The discharging of the mist from the
The sterilization treatment was carried out on the PET bottle (polyethylene terephthalate bottle) having a capacity of 500 ml while changing the detailed conditions according to the following procedure.
1. The bottle was preheated by supplying hot air of 0.1 m 3 / min from a nozzle with an inner diameter of 10 mm into the bottle. The temperature of the hot air was set to 105 ° C. to 125 ° C. in the vicinity of the tip of the nozzle, and the insertion amount of the nozzle into the bottle was set to 30 mm. At the same time, hot air at 85 ° C. was blown from the nozzle with an inner diameter of 50 mm toward the mouth of the bottle at a flow rate of 0.1 m 3 per minute. Note that the number of nozzles for heating the mouth was two for one bottle. The hot air blowing time from each nozzle was set to 3 seconds. The temperature in the bottle after completion of the hot air blowing reached 50 ° C.
2. After stopping the hot air blowing, the bottle was left for 1 second, and then hydrogen peroxide mist was blown into the bottle for 0.6 seconds. The amount of hydrogen peroxide attached to the inner surface of the bottle was 15 to 40 μl in terms of a 35 wt% hydrogen peroxide solution.
3. After completion of the mist blowing, the bottle was left for 0.5 to 3.5 seconds. Thereafter, a nozzle was inserted into the bottle and hot air was blown in for 1 second. The inner diameter of the nozzle, the amount of insertion, the temperature and flow rate of hot air are the same as in preheating.
4). After blowing hot air, the bottle was left for 1 to 3.5 seconds. Thereafter, the bottle was inverted, a nozzle with an inner diameter of 6 mm was inserted into the bottle, and aseptic water heated to 70 ° C. was sent in for 3 seconds to wash the inside of the bottle. The flow rate of sterile water was 8.5 liters per minute.
Moreover, some processes were abbreviate | omitted and sterilized.
殺菌効果=log(付着菌数/生残菌数)
For each sterilization condition, sterilize 5 bottles with 10 3 , 10 4 , or 10 5 Bacillus subtilis spores, and aseptically dispense tryptic soy bouillon medium into the bottles, and culture and sterilize The presence or absence of sex was evaluated. From the test results under each sterilization condition, the number of surviving bacteria is calculated stochastically by the most probable number (MPN), and the logarithmic value of the number of adherent bacteria and the number of surviving bacteria is obtained by the following formula and sterilized. The effect was evaluated.
Bactericidal effect = log (number of adherent bacteria / number of surviving bacteria)
The residue determination, sterilization determination, and comprehensive determination are each evaluated in four stages, and are indicated by ◎, ○, Δ, and X in order from the best.
The following points can be confirmed from the above table.
Next, when the
