鍵管理ケースは携帯型で出来ている為、比較的小型ではあるが、ケース内には100種類以上の鍵が保管されており、相当の重量感のあるケースをもって現場と事務所間を移動(事務所で鍵台帳の照合を行なう為)する事は非常に不便であった。

従来の収納管理箱による管理方法は一個一個ケース内のフックに吊り下げる方法で人の手にゆだねざるを得なく、フックから外した場合、或はフックへ戻した場合を都度事務所内の台帳に記入する方法を採っていた為非常に不便であると同時に、台帳の記入漏れが発生した場合は管理不可能となる。
本考案は管理を電子的に行ない、常にケース内の鍵の状態を外側から一目で判る。又全くミスのないシステム構成をする事である。

本件は従来の課題を解決する為に次の特徴を有している。
1)フックの代わりに赤外光IDタグ(子機)(特開2003−120088)を用い、赤外線によるIDの照合装置を設置し、コントローラー(親機)で制御し個別鍵管理をする。
2)RF−IDタグを使用すると電波を使用している為、相互干渉等の問題を発生し、誤動作を起こす。
3)収納管理箱の外部に液晶表示、セグメント表示を取り付けてある為、収納管理箱内部の鍵の状態(何番目の鍵が外されたままになっている等)が判る。
4)収納管理箱外部にホストコンピュータと接続可能な端子USBコネクタが付属されており、本端子とホストコンピュータを接続する事で収納管理箱内の鍵管理は画一化され自動管理可能である。
5)収納管理箱の開閉は登録されたIDの照合で行い、開く事で管理キーの取り付けた錠前装置に電源が投入され、閉じる事で電源が遮断される。
6)本収納管理箱は内部の管理キーが一本でも戻し忘れ(差し忘れ)があると収納管理箱の蓋を閉めた時に一定時間ブザー音で警告する様に(或は赤ランプが点滅)なっている。

特開2003−120088による赤外光IDタグは赤外光IDタグ子機と発光ダイオード、受光ダイオード、コントローラーで成る親機で構成され、動作は親機発光ダイオードから子機IDタグに呼出しコマンドと赤外線パワーを送信すると子機は光パワーで動作状態になり自分で持っているIDコードを同子機の発光ダイオードで親機へ返送する。
親機は子機からのIDコード確認すると同時にコントローラー部CPUメモリへ記録する。
この動作を各管理キーについて順次繰返し行なわれ常に収納管理箱内の管理キーの不足分或は持出した時刻が記録され、収納管理箱外側のセグメント表示器に表示され外部から一目で判る様にしたものである。
又、管理キーに収納されたデータを赤外光リーダ/ライターと、赤外光ICカードに書き込まれる。さらに、USBコネクタでホストコンピュータへ転送も可能となって、ホストコンピュータにデータが保管される。

4)収納管理箱の蓋を閉めた時に管理キーの戻し忘れがあるとブザー音(又は赤ランプ点滅)で警告される為、戻し忘れが無くなる。又同時にセグメント表示により、何番目の鍵が戻されていないか一目で判る。
5)今迄の用な管理キーの一本一本のチェック、人手による伝票記入がなくなるので、非常に便利で正確な鍵管理ができる。
