Abstract
Description
The present invention is incorporated in a millimeter wave integrated circuit or the like used in an on-vehicle radar device or the like, and can adjust a characteristic impedance for circuit matching or the like in a non-radiative dielectric line used for transmitting a high frequency signal. The present invention relates to a non-radiative dielectric line that can be produced, a high-frequency transceiver using the same, a radar apparatus, a vehicle equipped with a radar apparatus, and a small ship equipped with a radar apparatus.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a non-radiative dielectric waveguide (hereinafter also referred to as an NRD guide) is known as a high-frequency transmission line that transmits a high-frequency signal in the millimeter wave band (30 GHz to 300 GHz).
As shown in a partially broken perspective view in FIG. 13, the basic configuration of this non-radiative dielectric line is a dielectric line having a rectangular cross section between
When trying to construct various high-frequency circuits using such non-radiative dielectric lines, for example, high-frequency circuit elements having different characteristic impedances such as a high-frequency oscillator may be used. In order to efficiently supply signal power, it is necessary to perform impedance matching between the non-radiative dielectric line and the high-frequency circuit element. For this purpose, conventionally, for example, the characteristic impedance of a non-radiative dielectric line is changed by changing the shape of a part of the dielectric line or by arranging a conductor in the vicinity of a part of the dielectric line. (For example, refer to
In addition, as an example of a conventional non-radiative dielectric line, in addition to the above, for example, as disclosed in
Moreover, the example of the conventional high frequency transmitter / receiver is disclosed by patent document 5 and
However, in the method of changing the shape of a part of the dielectric line, the condition of the line cross-sectional shape of the dielectric line for appropriately propagating the electromagnetic wave as a high frequency signal to the dielectric line is limited. Because there is a limit to the range (adjustment range) in which the characteristic impedance of the dielectric line can be changed by changing the cross-sectional shape, and because very high-precision processing is required for the desired adjustment, There is a problem that the characteristic impedance cannot be adjusted practically.
Also, in the method of disposing a conductor in the vicinity of a part of the dielectric line, which has been proposed mainly to eliminate the processing of the dielectric line, the adjustment range is similarly limited, and the conductor Therefore, there is a problem that the characteristic impedance cannot be adjusted practically because high accuracy is required at the time of processing and arranging the desired shape.
In any method, in order to grasp the change in characteristic impedance, a high-frequency signal reflected from a part of the dielectric line that is changed in shape or a part in which a conductor is disposed in the vicinity. It is necessary to know the real part of the reflection coefficient, and it is difficult to accurately predict the characteristic impedance because it requires complicated calculations, so it is not suitable for setting various characteristic impedances appropriately. There was a problem.
In either method, since it is difficult to make adjustments after the dielectric line is sandwiched between a pair of conductor plates, individual adjustments depending on the high-frequency circuit elements can be made. For example, there is a problem that it is not easy to perform dynamic tuning such as adjusting characteristic impedance while operating a high-frequency oscillator or the like.
Further, in the conventional non-radiative dielectric line as disclosed in
In addition, there is a problem that it is difficult to adjust an adjustment hole that has been once closed to return it to a state in which it is not closed again, or a large number of adjustment holes are provided, or such adjustment holes are blocked. The work also has the problem of making the manufacturing process complicated.
In addition, in a conventional high-frequency transmitter / receiver using a non-radiative dielectric line, the characteristic impedance adjusting means provided in the non-radiative dielectric line connected to the high-frequency oscillator is optimal for stably oscillating the high-frequency oscillator. Since the characteristic impedance of the non-radiative dielectric line cannot be adjusted or dynamic tuning cannot be performed to meet the conditions, the oscillation of the high-frequency oscillator is the optimal condition depending on the environmental conditions such as ambient temperature and humidity. Therefore, the high frequency transmitter / receiver including such a high frequency oscillator may not be able to transmit / receive normally due to changes in environmental conditions.
In addition, the radar apparatus using such a high-frequency transmitter / receiver has a problem that, depending on environmental conditions, erroneous detection is likely to occur or the distance to a detection target that can be detected may be shortened. It was.
Further, in vehicles and small ships equipped with such a radar device, it is performed to detect an object to be detected by the radar device and take appropriate behavior such as avoidance and braking based on the information, Since the distance to the detection target that the radar device can detect or detect is shortened or the detection of the detection target is delayed, the vehicle or small vessel is caused to take a sudden action after the detection. There was a problem that sometimes.
The present invention has been devised to solve the above-described problems in the prior art, and its purpose is to perform practical and simple and precise characteristic impedance adjustment and dynamic tuning. A small ship equipped with a radar apparatus according to the present invention includes the radar apparatus according to the present invention having the above-described configuration, and is characterized in that this radar apparatus is used for detection of a detection target.
According to the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention, the dielectric line for propagating the high-frequency signal is arranged between the flat conductors arranged in parallel at an interval equal to or less than half the wavelength of the high-frequency signal, Since the recess facing the part of the dielectric line is formed on at least one inner surface of the flat conductor, a part of the electromagnetic wave that is a high-frequency signal propagating through the dielectric line is formed on the inner surface of the flat conductor. In addition, it leaks into a concave part facing a part of the dielectric line, propagates through the concave part, and then almost totally reflects off the bottom of the concave part to form a standing wave like a stub. Since the concave portion is formed, the reflection coefficient viewed from the input end side of the dielectric line to the output end side including the concave portion can be continuously changed according to the depth to the bottom of the concave portion. In addition, since the depth to the bottom of the concave portion is a parameter corresponding to the electrical length of the stub, the relationship between the depth and the change in characteristic impedance due to the change in the reflection coefficient can be easily predicted. . And simply changing the depth to the bottom of the recess can easily change the characteristic impedance to meet the desired conditions, so it is practical and easy to adjust the characteristic impedance precisely Thus, a non-radiative dielectric line can be formed.
Further, according to the nonradiative dielectric line of the present invention, in the above configuration, when the concave portion is formed by a through hole formed in the flat conductor and a conductor member that closes the through hole, the through hole The conductor member that closes the hole functions to change the characteristic impedance by changing the depth to the bottom of the recess by changing the position in the through hole, and the conductor member that closes the through hole is a non-radiative dielectric. Since the position can be changed continuously and reversibly by some operation such as pulling or pushing from the outside of the body line, it can be operated from the outside of the non-radiation dielectric line. Since the characteristic impedance can be changed continuously and reversibly, the characteristic impeder can be easily and precisely built during and after the assembly of non-radiative dielectric lines. Scan can be adjusted, also, dynamically a nonradiative dielectric waveguide can also be tuned.
Further, according to the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention, in each of the above-described configurations, when the concave portion has a rectangular shape along the dielectric line, in the non-radiative dielectric line, the normal LSM mode is used. Since the high-frequency signal transmitted in the above can induce a distribution of the electromagnetic field similar to the TE m0 (m is a natural number) mode of the rectangular waveguide at the opening of the concave portion, it is an electromagnetic wave to the concave portion. Since the high-frequency signal can be guided efficiently and stably, a non-radiative dielectric line capable of changing the characteristic impedance efficiently and stably is obtained. In addition, if the shape of the opening of the recess is rectangular, the recess can be handled in the same way as a rectangular waveguide with well-known properties, so the characteristics can be easily predicted and the controllability of characteristic impedance is excellent. A non-radiative dielectric line.
Further, according to the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention, in the above configuration, when the concave portion has a circular opening, the high-frequency signal normally transmitted in the LSM mode in the non-radiative dielectric line is: Since the distribution of the electromagnetic field similar to the TE 11 mode, which is the fundamental mode of the circular waveguide, can be satisfactorily induced in the opening of the recess, the high-frequency signal that is an electromagnetic wave is efficiently and stably transmitted to the recess. As a result, the non-radiative dielectric line can be changed efficiently and stably. In addition, if the shape of the opening of the recess is circular, the recess can be handled in the same way as a circular waveguide with well-known properties. A non-radiative dielectric line.
According to the nonradiative dielectric line of the present invention, in the above configuration, when the concave portion has a central portion facing the central portion of the dielectric line, the high-frequency signal propagating through the dielectric line and the Since the coupling efficiency with the high-frequency signal propagating through the concave portion is improved, it is possible to efficiently guide the high-frequency signal, which is an electromagnetic wave, to the concave portion, so that the range of adjustment of the characteristic impedance can be increased. It becomes a body track.
According to the first high-frequency transceiver of the present invention, a high-frequency oscillator that generates a high-frequency signal, and the high-frequency signal that is connected to the high-frequency oscillator through a first high-frequency transmission line are branched to one output terminal. A branching device that outputs a high-frequency signal for transmission and outputs a local signal to the other output terminal, and a first terminal, a second terminal, and a third terminal around the magnetic body, one terminal in this order A circulator in which the first terminal is connected to the one output end of the branching device by a second high-frequency transmission line, the high-frequency signal input from the adjacent next terminal being output, and the circulator of the circulator A transmission and reception antenna connected to a second terminal by a third high-frequency transmission line, and fourth and fifth high-frequency antennas between the other output end of the branching device and the third terminal of the circulator Connect with transmission line A mixer that mixes the local signal output to the other output terminal and the high-frequency signal received by the transmitting / receiving antenna to output an intermediate frequency signal, and the first to fifth mixers are provided. Since at least one of the high-frequency transmission lines is any one of the above non-radiative dielectric lines of the present invention, each non-radiative dielectric line used as each high-frequency transmission line is a high-frequency circuit element. In order to achieve good impedance matching between the high-frequency and the high-frequency transmission line, each high-frequency transmission line is connected between the high-frequency circuit elements. Can be connected with low loss, so that a high-performance high-frequency transmitter / receiver with improved transmission / reception performance can be obtained. In addition, the non-radiative dielectric line connected to the high-frequency oscillator has the function of finely adjusting the characteristic impedance and dynamic tuning, so it can be used for high-frequency transmission connected to the high-frequency oscillator. The line can be adjusted to a characteristic impedance where the oscillation of the high-frequency oscillator is most stable, and even if the environmental conditions change slightly, the oscillation can be made less likely to be unstable. It becomes a high-performance high-frequency transmitter / receiver.
According to the second high-frequency transmitter / receiver of the present invention, a high-frequency oscillator that generates a high-frequency signal, and the high-frequency signal that is connected to the high-frequency oscillator by a first high-frequency transmission line are branched to one output terminal. A branching unit that outputs a high-frequency signal for transmission and outputs a local signal to the other output end, and an output end side in which an input end is connected to the one output end of the branching unit by a second high-frequency transmission line An isolator for outputting the high frequency signal for transmission, a transmission antenna for transmitting the high frequency signal for transmission connected to the output end of the isolator by a third high frequency transmission line, and the other of the branching device A receiving antenna connected to the output end side by a fourth high-frequency transmission line, and the fourth high-frequency transmission line and the fifth high-frequency line between the receiving antenna and the other output end of the branching unit. Transmission line And a mixer that mixes the local signal output to the other output terminal and the high-frequency signal received by the receiving antenna and outputs an intermediate frequency signal. Since at least one of the high-frequency transmission lines is a non-radiative dielectric line according to any one of the above-described inventions, the high-frequency transmitter / receiver using the separate antenna is also used as each high-frequency transmission line. Since the radioactive dielectric line has the function of finely adjusting the characteristic impedance and dynamic tuning so as to achieve good impedance matching with each of the above-described components, which are high-frequency circuit elements, Using this, each high-frequency transmission line can connect each high-frequency circuit element with low loss, so that it becomes a high-performance high-frequency transmitter / receiver with improved transmission / reception performance.

First, the first and second nonradiative dielectric lines of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
An example of an embodiment of the first nonradiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 is a high-frequency signal between
In the above configuration, the
Further, the position where the
As a whole, a part of the high-frequency signal input from the input end 3 a of the
The function of the
According to the example of the embodiment of the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIG. 1, because of the above configuration, a part of the electromagnetic wave that is a high-frequency signal propagating through the
Next, another example of the embodiment of the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIG. 2 is different from the example shown in FIG. 1 in that the
In the example shown in FIG. 2, the through hole 5 has a tubular shape surrounded by a conductor wall that is hollow inside, and one end (the side opposite to the dielectric line 3) is closed by the
However, in the non-radiative dielectric line shown in FIG. 2, the portion corresponding to the bottom 4b of the
According to the example of the embodiment of the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIG. 2, the
Next, in more detail, the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention may be configured as follows.
In the example of the embodiment of the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, preferably, the
In this way, the electromagnetic wave, which is a high-frequency signal propagating through the
In the example of the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, preferably, the
In this way, the electromagnetic wave, which is a high-frequency signal propagating through the
Further, if the shape of the opening 4a of the
In the example of the embodiment of the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, preferably, as described above, the
In the example of the embodiment of the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, when the shape of the opening 4 a of the
Moreover, in the example of embodiment of the nonradiative dielectric line | wire of this invention shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, you may provide the some recessed

In the first and second high-frequency transceivers of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7, a semiconductor integrated circuit element such as a CMOS that cuts off the intermediate frequency signal at an appropriate timing at the output terminal of the mixer 16
Next, a radar apparatus according to the present invention, a vehicle equipped with the radar apparatus and a small ship equipped with the radar apparatus will be described.

Such a radar apparatus of the present invention is mounted on a vehicle or a small ship, detects other vehicles, small ships, or obstacles as detection objects, and avoids a collision with them. Can be used. If the radar apparatus of the present invention is used for such a purpose, the radar apparatus is less prone to erroneous detection, and other vehicles, small ships or obstacles can be detected quickly and reliably. Collision with them can be safely avoided without causing rapid behavior. In addition, because the transmission output of the high-frequency signal used for detection is stable, the transmission output can be increased within a range that does not exceed the predetermined maximum output, so the frequency used by the radar device while detecting stably It is possible to make it difficult to cause a communication failure or the like with respect to other communication in the vicinity using a frequency close to the.
Vehicles that can be used with the radar device of the present invention are vehicles such as trains, trains, automobiles, vehicles for transporting passengers and cargo, bicycles, motorbikes, amusement park vehicles, golf courses, etc. There are carts. In addition, as a small vessel that can be used with the radar device of the present invention mounted, a rowing boat that can be operated without a license or license of a small vessel and has a gross tonnage of less than 20 tons , Dinghy, water motorcycle, small bass boat with outboard motor, inflatable boat (rubber boat) with outboard motor, fishing boat, recreational fishing boat, work boat, houseboat, towing boat, sports boat, fishing boat, yacht, ocean yacht, There are cruisers or pleasure boats with a gross tonnage of 20 tons or more.
Thus, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a non-radiative dielectric line which is practical and can be easily and precisely adjusted for characteristic impedance and can be dynamically tuned, and which can be reduced in size. . In addition, a high-performance high-frequency transmitter / receiver, a radar device, a vehicle equipped with a radar device, and a small ship equipped with a radar device can be provided.
It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. For example, in the non-radiative dielectric line of the present invention, a stopper portion thicker than the thickness of the portion inserted into the through hole 5 may be provided at the end portion of the

In FIG. 12, the length from the center of the polar coordinate is the normalized reflection coefficient size, the angle of the polar coordinate rotation direction is the phase (unit: radians), and the reflection coefficient size is normalized. It is represented by a value. Also, a black circle is a measure of the reflection coefficient S 11 as viewed from the input end 3a of the nonradiative dielectric line, the curve is a calculated value.
