Abstract
前記重複値を差し引いた前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値が正である場合、タイムオフセットが前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値に加えるステップと、前記重複値を差し引いた前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値が負である場合、前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値をゼロに設定するステップとからなる。本発明はLCOSあるいはLCDディスプレイに適用される。
Description
−現在サブフレームとの重複期間に応じた重複値を提供するため、先行サブフレームの画素カラー値を基準値と比較するステップと、
−前記重複値を差し引いた前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値が正である場合、前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値にタイムオフセットを加えるステップと、
−前記重複値を差し引いた前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値が負である場合、前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値をゼロに設定するステップとを有することにより特徴付けされる。
サブフレームの場合に当てはまる。
−画素カラーが飽和されない。この場合、ブルーカラーもグリーンカラーも修正されない。
−画素カラーが飽和されねばならない。この場合、ブルー値は、Soverlap=グリーン値に対応する値だけ減少されねばならない。
Claims (8)
- パルス幅変調あるいはPWMタイプのアドレッシング方法を利用して駆動されるシーケンシャルカラーマトリックスディスプレイの視感効率を向上させる方法であって、サブフレームの各画素に対して、
現在サブフレームとの重複期間に応じた重複値を提供するため、先行サブフレームの画素カラー値と基準値を比較するステップと、
前記重複値を差し引いた前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値が正である場合、タイムオフセットを前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値に加えるステップと、
前記重複値を差し引いた前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値が負である場合、前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値をゼロに設定するステップとからなることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記重複値を差し引いた前記現在サブフレームの画素カラー値が負である場合、輝度の減少と共にもとのティントを維持するため、前記先行サブフレームの画素カラー値と次のサブフレームのカラー値は修正されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1または2記載の方法であって、上述のステップはフレームの各シーケンシャルカラーに連続して適用されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1乃至3何れか一項記載の方法であって、サブフレームの画素カラー値はPWMタイプアドレッシングパルスの幅に依存することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1乃至4何れか一項記載の方法であって、前記基準値は前記ディスプレイを構成する物質の応答時間に依存することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1乃至5何れか一項記載の方法であって、前記タイムオフセットは前記ディスプレイを構成する物質の応答時間と前記サブフレームの持続期間に依存することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項5または6記載の方法であって、前記基準値と前記タイムオフセットは2つの異なるテーブルに別々に保持されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項5または6記載の方法であって、前記基準値と前記タイムオフセットは互いから計算されることを特徴とする方法。
