Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a water treatment system and a fuel cell power generation system, and more particularly to a water treatment system for purifying water to be treated with an ion exchange resin and a fuel cell power generation system using water treated by the water treatment system.
In order to operate a fuel cell that generates water by generating an electrochemical reaction and generating water by introducing a hydrogen-rich fuel gas and an oxygen-containing oxidant gas, the temperature of the fuel cell body is set to a predetermined value. It is necessary to maintain the temperature (for example, about 90 ° C. in the case of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell). As a method for maintaining a predetermined temperature, a method is generally used in which a cooling plate laminated at a predetermined interval is arranged inside the fuel cell body and the cooling water is circulated through the cooling plate. If the electric conductivity of the circulating cooling water is high, a short-circuit current flows between the cooling plates, causing inconvenience in the fuel cell. As a countermeasure against such inconvenience, cooling water is passed through a water treatment system using an ion exchange resin, and the electric conductivity of the cooling water is maintained at a predetermined value or less.
By the way, when the cooling water is continuously purified using the ion exchange resin, the electric conductivity of the cooling water does not decrease to a predetermined value, that is, the ion exchange resin reaches the end of its life. Although it is necessary to replace the ion exchange resin whose life has expired, conventionally, the operation of the water treatment system has been stopped for the replacement (see, for example, FIG. 3A). Alternatively, to replace the water treatment system without stopping the operation, connect ion exchange resins in parallel, purify the cooling water with one ion exchange resin, and flow the cooling water when the ion exchange resin reaches the end of its life. The ion exchange resin whose lifetime has been exhausted is being replaced while purifying the cooling water with the other ion exchange resin (see, for example, FIG. 3B).
However, if the operation of the water treatment system is stopped to replace the ion exchange resin, the cooling water cannot be supplied to the fuel cell, and the fuel cell cannot be operated continuously. In addition, when ion treatment resin is connected in parallel and water treatment is performed by switching the ion exchange resin to be used, water in the ion exchange resin tower that has not been used is stagnant. The fuel cell could not be operated continuously.
In view of the above-mentioned problems, the present invention can replace an ion exchange resin that has reached the end of its life without stopping the operation of the water treatment system, and supplies treated water having an appropriate electrical conductivity even in the initial stage of the exchange. It is an object of the present invention to provide a water treatment system that can be used and a fuel cell power generation system that uses water treated by the water treatment system.
In order to achieve the above object, a water treatment system according to the invention described in
If comprised in this way, since the several ion exchange resin is arrange | positioned in parallel, the replacement | exchange of the ion exchange resin which has reached the end of life without stopping the operation of the water treatment system can be performed, and the plurality of ion exchange resins arranged in parallel can be performed. Since most of the required amount of water to be treated flows through one of the ion exchange resins and the remaining amount of the water to be treated flows through the other ion exchange resin, the water in the vicinity of the ion exchange resin. Therefore, it is possible to supply treated water having an appropriate electrical conductivity even in the initial exchange of the ion exchange resin. The “necessary amount” means a required amount of treated water, in other words, a flow rate after merging of treated water purified by ion exchange resins arranged in parallel. “Treatment water” refers to water before being purified with an ion exchange resin, and “treated water” refers to water after being purified with an ion exchange resin.

If comprised in this way, to-be-processed water can be poured by each ion-exchange resin by a predetermined ratio using a simple throttle mechanism.
Further, the water treatment system according to the invention described in claim 4 is a
With this configuration, since the ion exchange resin that flows most of the necessary amount of treated water can be switched before the life of the ion exchange resin that flows most of the necessary amount of treated water is exhausted, the operation of the water treatment system There is no need to stop.

By configuring in this way, it is possible to switch the ion exchange resin that detects the electrical conductivity of the treated water and allows the majority of the necessary amount of treated water to flow when the electrical conductivity is greater than or equal to a predetermined value. Is not supplied to the request destination.

In addition, the fuel cell power generation system according to the invention of claim 6 is supplied with a fuel gas g rich in hydrogen and an oxidant gas a containing oxygen as shown in FIG. A
If comprised in this way, since the water treatment system which can be continuously operated is provided, supply of the treated water to a fuel cell will not be interrupted, and it will become a fuel cell power generation system which can be continuously operated.
According to the present invention, since a plurality of ion exchange resins are arranged in parallel, it is possible to replace the ion exchange resin whose lifetime has been exhausted without stopping the operation of the water treatment system, and a plurality of ions arranged in parallel.
The cooling

The
The ion
The
The switching
The
The
The electrical conductivity detection means 66 is the purified treated

In the gas-

Since the electrochemical reaction in the
As the cooling

The recovered
If the time required for the filled ion exchange resin to reach the end of its life is grasped in advance, the
At this time, even if the ion exchange resin unit that flows most of the water to be treated 67w is switched from the first ion

When exchanging the ion exchange resin of the first ion
Hereinafter, in a state in which most of the water to be treated flows in the second ion

FIG. 2 is a block diagram for explaining a modification of the
In the modified example of the water treatment system according to the embodiment of the present invention configured as described above, the treated
In a state where most of the water to be treated flows through the first ion
In the above description, two ion exchange resin units are described as being installed in parallel, but three or more ion exchange resin units may be installed in parallel. Also in this case, it goes without saying that there is a large or small difference in the amount of water flowing through one ion exchange resin unit and other ion exchange resin units.
