Abstract
【解決手段】 熱可塑性樹脂に対し、層間支柱を有するイオン交換性層状無機物質の層間間隙に抗菌性有機化合物(ヒノキチオールを除く)をゲスト化合物として含む層状無機物質複合体を配合し、溶融成形する。
【選択図】 なし

で表わされる有機第四アンモニウム化合物が好ましい。
そのほか、ヒバ油、シナモンエキス、カラシエキス、トウガラシエキス、リモネンエキス、クマザサ抽出物、孟宗竹抽出物などの精油類も用いることができる。
すなわちn‐ヘキサン、n‐ペンタン、2,2‐ジメチルプロパン又はパーフルオロシクロヘキサンのような貧溶媒に、抗菌性有機化合物を飽和濃度まで溶解した溶液中に層間支柱を有するイオン交換性層状無機物質を浸漬し、1〜100時間かきまぜたのち、固形分をろ別し、乾燥する。
また、超臨界状態にある二酸化炭素を媒質として層間支柱を有するイオン交換性無機物質とゲスト化合物とを接触させることによっても層状無機物質複合体を製造することができる。
なお、抗菌性有機化合物の性能を十分に発揮させるためには、得られる熱可塑性樹脂成形品中の抗菌性有機化合物含有量が0.1ないしは5質量%の範囲になるように調整するのが好ましい。
本発明の抗菌性樹脂成形品の形状は、特に制限されず、例えば、シート状物、粒状物、繊維状物、糸状物、棒状物、管状物、板状物などにすることができる。
海洋性付着細菌(Pseudoalteromonas carrageenovora)100cell/mlの濃度の溶液100μlを液体培地5mlに植菌し、温度30℃で6時間振とう培養した。次いで、このようにして得た培養基の液体を、同じ液体培地3mlに移植し、さらに温度30℃で3時間培養したのち、遠心分離を行い、菌体と液体培地とを分離した。
同様にして、バニリン、ケイ皮アルデヒド、イソチアン酸エチル、ベンゾキノンについて増殖曲線を作成したところ、同じように海洋性付着細菌に対して抑制作用を有することが分った。
モンモリロナイト(クニミネ工業株式会社製、商品名「クニピアーF」)5gとテトラメチルアンモニウムクロリドとを、温度70℃のイオン交換水中に加え、24時間かき混ぜたのち、遠心分離してテトラメチルアンモニウムを層間支柱としたモンモリロナイト(以下TMA−Mntと略記する)を得た。この際の遠心分離は、分離した溶液中に、硝酸銀試験によるクロリドイオンの反応が認められなくなるまで繰り返した。
次いで、回収したTMA−Mntを風乾した。乾燥後、粉砕分級して100〜150μmの範囲の画分を捕集し、さらに減圧下150℃で2時間乾燥した。
参考例2と同様にしてTMA−Mntを調製した後、分級処理を施し、粒径100〜150μmのフラクションに分別した。
次にバニリンをn‐へキサンに溶解し、濃度1.3g/リットルの溶液を調製した。参考例2と同様にして、バニリン溶液30mlと前記TMA−Mnt300mgをフッ素樹脂製50ml体積遠心管に入れ、密封し、40℃において撹拌速度200rpmで48時間かき混ぜ、可視紫外分光光度計を用いて吸光度を測定し、バニリンの吸着量を求めたところ、バニリンの吸着量は72mg/gであった。
このことから、バニリンが層間に吸着することによって、TMA−Mntの層間距離は増加したことが分る。
この際の混練温度が、純粋なケイ皮アルコールが揮発する温度(206℃)以上となったが、混練時にケイ皮アルコールが大量に揮発するようなトラブルはなかった。
両者を比較すれば明らかなように、ケイ皮アルコール−粘土複合体含有フィルムには、ポリプロピレンフィルムには認められない250nmのケイ皮アルコールに由来するピークが存在する。
この際の混練温度が、純粋なバニリンが揮発する温度(230℃)以上となったが、混練時にバニリンが大量に揮発するようなトラブルはなかった。
両者を比較すれば明らかなように、バニリン−粘土複合体含有フィルムには、ポリプロピレンフィルムには認められない269nmのバニリンに由来するピークが存在する。
Claims (4)
- 熱可塑性樹脂に対し、層間支柱を有するイオン交換性層状無機物質の層間間隙に抗菌性有機化合物(ただしヒノキチオールを除く)をゲスト化合物として含む層状無機物質複合体を配合し、溶融成形してなる抗菌性樹脂成形品。
- 層間支柱を有するイオン交換性層状無機物質が第四アンモニウムイオンの支柱をもつ層状ケイ酸塩又は層状酸化マンガンである請求項1記載の抗菌性樹脂成形品。
- 抗菌性有機化合物が、ケイ皮アルデヒド、ケイ皮アルコール、バニリン、イソチアン酸エチル、ベンゾキノン、フェノール、p‐クロル‐m‐クレゾール、o‐フェニルフェノール、ベンジルブロムアセテート、3,4´,5‐トリブロムサリチルアニリド、N‐(トリクロルメチルチオ)フタルイミド又はN‐トリクロルメチルチオフタルイミドである請求項1又は2記載の抗菌性樹脂成形品。
- 熱可塑性樹脂と複合体との含有割合が質量比で1000:1ないし1:1の範囲にある請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の抗菌性樹脂成形品。
