Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a slot rod type optical fiber cable, and improves the recyclability of the slot rod.
A slot rod type optical fiber cable has a number of optical fiber tape cores or optical fiber cores (hereinafter also referred to as optical fibers) fitted into a helical slot of a synthetic resin slot rod. The optical fiber tape core wire is fixed by being wound by pressing, and is covered with a cable sheath from above.
An indication is made on the outer peripheral surface of the rib of the slot rod so that each of a large number of slots can be specified for the convenience of optical fiber connection work, etc., and an example thereof is disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-341202. It is described in.
This is as shown in FIG. 1, and in the extrusion process of the slot rod 1, linear tracer marks are provided on the outer
The slot rod 1 is extrusion molded, and the colored display is formed by applying (adhering) the molten resin colored during the extrusion molding to the outer
In addition to the conventional example, the tracer mark is formed by various methods. In any case, the tracer mark is displayed by applying (adhering) a colored molten resin to the outer peripheral surface of the rib at the time of forming the slot rod.
An object of the present invention is to devise the display so that the tracer mark can be easily and easily removed in order to improve the recyclability of the slot rod.
Means taken for solving the above-mentioned problems are constituted by the following (a), (b) and (c).
(B) The tracer mark is a display that adheres closely to the outer peripheral surface of the rib of the slot rod with a small adhesion force.
(B) a tracer mark is formed in the process of assembling the optical fiber ribbons into the slots of the slot rod;
(C) Immediately after the tracer mark is formed, it is wound with presser foot and is covered with a skin.
[Action]
The tracer mark is formed by adhering, for example, a tape or fine powder to the outer peripheral surface of the rib of the slot rod with a small adhesion force, without depending on the colored molten resin, and can be easily and easily removed. Therefore, the presence of the tracer mark does not hinder the recyclability of the slot rod.
On the other hand, the tracer mark is attached to the surface of the slot rod with a small adhesive force, but is displayed on the surface of the slot rod in the process of assembling the optical fibers into the slot, and immediately after the display, the tracer mark is covered with press-wound tape. In addition, since the outer skin is covered, the tracer mark is not dropped and damaged even though it is attached with a small adhesion. On the other hand, the tracer mark does not fall off the surface of the slot rod when the press-wound tape is removed due to the lead-out or the like in the optical fiber connection work or the like. This is because the tracer mark is in close contact with the surface of the slot rod and is not in close contact with the presser tape.
[Embodiment 1]
In Embodiment 1, the tracer mark is formed by sticking a linear ribbon to the outer peripheral surface of the rib of the slot rod with an adhesive.
The linear ribbon may be either a thin linear body or a tape-shaped body, and needs to have a certain level of tensile strength.
[Action]
Different displays can be made by changing the color or width of the linear ribbon.
On the other hand, since the linear ribbon is bonded to the outer peripheral surface of the rib of the slot rod with an adhesive, the linear ribbon is easily and easily peeled off.
Therefore, the tracer mark by the linear ribbon is easily separated from the slot rod.
[Embodiment 2]
[Action]
If the contact force F is less than 1 gf, the tracer mark is easily peeled off, which may cause inconveniences such as displacement in the process of pressing with presser winding. On the other hand, if the adhesion force F exceeds 100 gf, the peeling and removal are not easy, and a part may remain without being removed, so that the reliability of the removing operation is lowered.
Note that the adhesion force is defined by performing a peel test as shown in FIG. 3. By way of reference, the linear ribbon displaying the tracer mark is pulled at a right angle to the adhesion surface, and then gradually. This is the tensile force when the tensile force is increased and the linear ribbon starts to peel from the contact surface.
[Embodiment 3]
It is desirable that the powder is black, and by charging the colored powder, the powder can be adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the rib of the slot rod with a small adhesion force, or an adhesive having low adhesiveness can be adhered to the slot rod. It can also apply | coat to the outer peripheral surface of this rib, and can adhere a colored powder to this.
The tracer mark attached to the slot rod of the optical fiber cable according to the present invention is not formed by applying (adhering) colored molten resin, but is closely attached with a small adhesive force. It is peeled off. Therefore, the recycling process in the optical cable recycling process can be performed efficiently.
Next, embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings.
[Example 1]
In the embodiment, a tracer mark is formed by closely adhering a linear ribbon. The linear ribbon is a thin black polyethylene tape having a thickness of 0.05 μm and a width of 1.5 mm, and its tensile strength is about 250 gf. is there.
As a linear ribbon, it can also be a linear ribbon with a circular cross section, an ellipse, etc., and as a material, polyester, polypropylene, etc. can be used, for reasons of stability of close contact with a slot rod. A tape-like linear ribbon is most preferable, and polyethylene is most preferable as a material for reasons such as recycling efficiency and adhesion.
In the extrusion molding process, an adhesive is applied to the outer peripheral surfaces of a pair of ribs of a polyethylene slot rod, and the optical fiber ribbons are assembled into slots, and then a linear ribbon is adhered to the outer peripheral surfaces of the ribs. As the pressure-sensitive adhesive, acrylic or the like is suitable, and the viscosity and the coating amount of the pressure-sensitive adhesive are adjusted so that the adhesion is about 20 gf.
In the recycling process, the linear ribbon is easily and easily peeled off. At this time, the adhesive remains on the surface of the slot rod, but since the adhesive is acrylic and not colored, there is no problem in recycling the polyethylene slot rod.
