<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operability of a portable communication terminal such as a cellular telephone achieving a chat function by using electronic mail. <P>SOLUTION: The portable communication terminal comprises: a member storage section 10 storing members participating in a chat as registered members; a chat processing section 5 displaying a chat screen, displaying the text of the electronic mail received from the registered member in the course of the display of the chat screen as a chat message on the chat screen, and transmitting the chat message prepared in the course of the display of the chat screen as the electronic mail to the registered member; and a registration invalidation section 9 invalidating member registration by means of operation input by a user. 【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、携帯通信端末に係り、さらに詳しくは、電子メールを利用してチャット機能を実現する携帯電話機などの携帯通信端末の改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
最近では、ほとんどの携帯電話機において電子メールの送受信を行うことができる。このような携帯電話機の電子メール送受信機能を利用して、擬似チャット機能を実現している携帯電話機が従来からあった。チャットとは、２以上の通信端末間において、文字を用いて概ねリアルタイムで会話を行う通信形態である。

携帯電話機宛の電子メールは、一旦、通信事業者（キャリア）のメールセンターに設置されたメールサーバに蓄積される。このメールサーバは、電子メールが到達した時点で、その宛先である携帯電話機に対しメール受信通知を行っている。このメール受信通知を受け取った携帯電話機は、直ちにメールセンターから電子メールの受信を開始する。つまり、携帯電話機の場合、電波状態が良好であれば、リアルタイムに準じたスピードで電子メールを受信することができる。

従って、携帯電話機では、通信事業者がチャット機能実現のための特別なサービスを提供しなくても、通常どおりの電子メール送受信機能を利用して、準リアルタイムのチャット機能を実現することができる。つまり、携帯電話機内部の処理のみによって擬似的にチャット機能を実現している。

この様な擬似チャット機能を有する携帯電話機では、チャットに参加するメンバーのメールアドレスを予め登録しておくことにより、登録メンバーとの間で電子メールの送受信が行われる。そして、チャット画面の表示中に登録メンバーからの電子メールを受信すると、その電子メールの本文がチャットメッセージとしてチャット画面上に時系列に表示され、２人以上のメンバー間で文字による会話が成立する。

メンバー登録においては、メールアドレスに対応付けてメンバーの名前などのメンバー情報が登録され、このメンバー情報がチャットメッセージに対応付けてチャット画面に表示される。メンバー情報を表示することにより、チャットメッセージが誰の発言かをわかり易くすることができる。なお、メンバー情報が未登録であるチャットメッセージの場合には、チャットメッセージの送信元のメールアドレスが表示される。

擬似チャットを開始する場合、最初に発言するユーザが、まず携帯電話機のメニューからチャットモードを選択し、チャット画面を表示させる。そして、チャット画面から登録メンバーに対しチャットメッセージを含む電子メールを送信する。一方、この電子メールを受信したメンバーは、当該電子メールにチャットメッセージが含まれることを確認した後、メニューからチャットモードを選択してチャット画面を表示させる。この様にして、チャット画面を表示させた登録メンバーのみがチャットに参加することができる。

この様な携帯電話機において、既にメールアドレスが登録され、これまでチャットに参加していたメンバーを自分のチャットメッセージの送信対象から一時的に除外したい場合がある。例えば、チャット中に会話を続けたくないメンバーがいる場合や、チャット開始前からチャットに参加できないことが予めわかっている場合である。この様な場合、除外したいメンバーを登録メンバーから削除すれば、チャットメッセージの送信対象から除外することができる。

しかしながら、この様にしてメンバーの登録自体を削除してしまった場合、当該メンバーをチャットに再度参加させるためには、そのメールアドレスの登録を再び行わなければならず、煩雑であるという問題があった。

例えば、登録メンバーの一人が海外旅行中であり、一定期間だけチャットに参加できないことが予めわかっている場合、当該メンバーに対してチャットメッセージを送信する必要はない。しかしながら、当該メンバーを送信対象から除外するためにメンバー登録自体を削除してしまうと、当該メンバーが海外旅行から帰ってきてチャットに参加できるようになった場合に、ユーザはメンバー登録を再度行わなければならず、操作入力が面倒であった。

また、一時的にチャットに参加できないメンバーを登録メンバーから削除した場合、削除されたメンバーからチャット中に電子メールを受信しても、チャット画面にチャットメッセージとして表示されない。このため、当該メンバーがチャットに再び参加していても、ユーザがそのことに気付きにくいという問題があった。

また、チャットに参加できないメンバーを登録メンバーから削除した場合、メンバー情報も失われてしまうので、チャットメッセージに対応付けてチャット画面に表示されていた当該メンバーの名前が送信元メールアドレスとなり、これまでに受信されチャット画面に表示されていた当該メンバーのチャットメッセージが誰の発言かが判りづらくなるという問題もあった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、上記の事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、電子メールを利用してチャット機能を実現する携帯通信端末の操作性を向上させることを目的とする。特に、メンバー登録を削除することなく、チャットに参加しないメンバーを一時的にチャットにおける電子メールの送信対象から除外することができる携帯通信端末を提供することを目的とする。

また、チャットに参加できなかったメンバーがチャットに再度参加したことに気付き易くした携帯通信端末を提供することを目的とする。また、チャットに参加しないメンバーをチャットにおける電子メールの送信対象から除外しても、チャット画面に表示される当該メンバーのチャットメッセージが誰の発言かが判別しづらくなることのない携帯通信端末を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明による携帯通信端末は、チャットに参加するメンバーを登録メンバーとして記憶するメンバー記憶手段と、チャット画面を表示し、チャット画面の表示中に登録メンバーから受信した電子メールの本文をチャットメッセージとしてチャット画面に表示し、チャット画面の表示中に作成されたチャットメッセージを電子メールとして登録メンバーに送信するチャット処理手段と、ユーザの操作入力によりメンバー登録を無効化する登録無効化手段を備え、上記チャット処理手段は、上記登録無効化手段により無効化された登録メンバーに対してチャットメッセージを送信しないように構成される。

この様な構成によれば、メンバー登録を削除することなく、ユーザの操作入力によってメンバー登録を無効化することができる。無効化された登録メンバーに対してはチャットメッセージが送信されないので、ユーザが必要に応じてメンバー登録を無効化することによって、チャットに参加しない登録メンバーをチャットにおける電子メールの送信対象から除外することができる。従って、メンバー登録を再度行う手間を省くことができる。

また、本発明による携帯通信端末は、上記メンバー記憶手段が、メンバー情報を登録メンバーのメールアドレスに対応付けて記憶し、上記チャット処理手段が、チャットメッセージに対応付けてチャット画面にメンバー情報を表示するように構成される。

この様な構成では、メンバー登録を削除すると、メンバー情報も失われるので、削除されたメンバーをチャットに再度参加させる場合に、当該メンバーのメールアドレスとともにメンバー情報、例えば、登録メンバーが撮影された画像及び登録メンバーの名前も改めて登録しなければならない。しかし、チャットに参加しないメンバーのメンバー登録を無効化することによって、メンバー登録を削除することなく、この登録メンバーをチャットにおける電子メールの送信対象から除外することができるので、メンバー情報を改めて登録する手間を省くことができる。

また、本発明による携帯通信端末は、上記チャット処理手段が、上記登録無効化手段により無効化された登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージをチャット画面に表示しないように構成される。この様な構成によれば、登録メンバーを無効化することによって、この登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージがチャット画面に表示されないようにすることができる。従って、会話を続けたくないメンバーからのチャットメッセージをチャット中にユーザが見なくて済むようにすることができる。

また、本発明による携帯通信端末は、上記チャット処理手段が、上記登録無効化手段により無効化された登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージをチャット画面に表示するように構成される。この様な構成によれば、チャットに参加できないために無効化された登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージがチャット画面に表示されるので、この登録メンバーからの電子メールに気付くのが遅れるのを防止することができる。従って、当該メンバーがチャットに再び参加していることに気付き易くすることができる。

特に、無効化された登録メンバーからチャット画面表示中に電子メールを受信した場合に、確認画面を表示し、ユーザに対してメンバー登録の無効化解除を促す無効解除照会手段を備えるように構成される。この様な構成によって、ユーザが登録メンバーを無効化したことを忘れていても、チャット画面表示中における当該登録メンバーからの電子メールの受信をトリガにして確認画面が表示されるので、このメンバーのメンバー登録が無効化されているのをユーザに気付かせることができる。

また、本発明による携帯通信端末は、上記チャット処理手段が、無効化された登録メンバーからチャット画面表示中に電子メールを受信した場合に、メンバー登録の無効化を解除するように構成される。この様な構成によれば、ユーザが登録メンバーを無効化したことを忘れていても、チャット画面表示中における当該登録メンバーからの電子メールの受信をトリガにして、メンバー登録の無効化が自動的に解除されるので、この登録メンバーに対してもチャットメッセージを送信することができる。従って、当該メンバーに対するチャットメッセージの送信し忘れを防止することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
実施の形態１．
図１は、本発明の実施の形態１による携帯電話機の要部の一構成例を示したブロック図である。この携帯電話機１は、無線部２、メール送受信部３、メール記憶部４、チャット処理部５、メンバー登録部６、電話帳記憶部７、画像記憶部８、登録無効化部９及びメンバー記憶部１０により構成される。

無線部２は、アンテナを介して無線基地局（不図示）との間で電波の送受信を行っている。メール送受信部３は、電子メールを送信するためのメール送信部３ａと、電子メールを受信するためのメール受信部３ｂからなる。メール記憶部４は、電子メールｅｍを格納する記憶手段であり、受信済みの電子メール、送信済みの電子メール、下書きの電子メールなどが格納されている。

通信事業者のメールサーバ（不図示）が、宛先を携帯電話機１とする電子メールを受信した場合、無線部２は無線基地局からメール受信通知を受信する。このメール受信通知を受信した場合、メール受信部３ｂは、無線部２を介してメールサーバから電子メールを取得する。メール受信部３ｂは、受信した電子メールをメール記憶部４に格納するとともに、電子メールを受信したことをチャット処理部５へ通知する。また、メール送信部３ａは、チャット処理部５においてユーザが入力したチャットメッセージを電子メールとして各登録メンバーへ送信する。

チャット処理部５は、チャット画面を表示し、チャット画面の表示中に送受信されたチャットメール（チャットメッセージを含む電子メール）をチャット画面内に時系列順に表示している。このチャット画面には、少なくとも本文を含む電子メールの詳細情報が表示される。例えば、チャットメッセージに対応付けて、登録メンバーが撮影された画像や登録メンバーの名前が表示される。チャット画面表示中は、受信メールの送信元に基づいて、当該電子メールがチャットメールであるかを判別している。つまり、チャット中に登録メンバーから受信した電子メールの本文がチャットメッセージとしてチャット画面に表示されるとともに、ユーザによって作成されたチャットメッセージが電子メールにより登録メンバーに送信される。

メンバー登録部６は、ユーザの操作入力に基づいてチャットに参加するメンバーの登録処理を行っている。すなわち、ユーザがメールアドレスを直接入力するか、あるいは、電話帳記憶部７に格納されているメールアドレスを選択指定することにより、チャットに参加させるメンバーのメールアドレスがメンバー記憶部１０に記憶される。

この様なメンバー登録では、登録メンバーが撮影された画像及び登録メンバーの名前（ニックネームなどであっても良い）がメンバー情報としてメールアドレスに対応付けて記憶される。登録メンバーの画像は、画像記憶部８にメールアドレスに対応付けて予め記憶されており、ユーザがこの画像記憶部８に記憶されている画像を選択指定することで、メンバー登録が行われる。なお、この様なメンバー画像としては、例えば、着信時に表示される呼出し用の画像データ（ピクチャコール用の画像データ）を用いることができる。

登録無効化部９は、ユーザの操作入力によりメンバー登録を無効化するチャットメールの送信、非送信の選択手段である。この登録無効化部９においてユーザが無効化した登録メンバーについて、メンバー登録が無効化されたことを示す登録無効化情報がメンバー記憶部１０に記憶される。登録無効化情報は、当該登録メンバーのメールアドレスに対応付けて保持される。

チャット処理部５は、この登録無効化情報に基づいてチャットメールの送信及びチャットメッセージの表示を行っている。すなわち、メンバー登録が無効化された登録メンバーに対しては、チャットメールが送信されず、この登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージはチャット画面に表示されない。一方、メンバー登録が無効化されていない登録メンバーに対しては、チャットメールが送信されるとともに、この登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージはチャット画面に表示される。つまり、ユーザは、登録無効化部９におけるキー操作によって特定の登録メンバーについて、メンバー登録を無効化することができ、必要に応じて各登録メンバーに対するチャットメールの送信、非送信を選択することができる。

なお、メンバーの新規登録時は、当該メンバーのメンバー登録が有効となっており、ユーザが無効化を指定しない限り、チャットメール終了後もメンバー登録の有効状態が保持される。従って、メンバーの登録ごとに、あるいは、チャットメールの起動ごとに、メンバー登録の有効、無効を指定する必要はない。

メンバー記憶部１０は、チャットに参加するメンバー（チャットメンバー）のメールアドレスｍａとともに、このメールアドレスｍａに対応付けてメンバー情報及び登録無効化情報を格納した記憶手段である。チャット処理部５は、このメンバー記憶部１０に保持されているメールアドレスｍａに基づいて、登録メンバーを判別する。

図２は、図１の携帯電話機におけるチャット画面の表示の一例を示した図である。本実施の形態の携帯電話機１では、チャットメールの送受信が行われた際に、これらのチャットメッセージがメンバー情報（登録メンバーが撮影された画像及び登録メンバーの名前）とともに時系列順にチャット画面Ｄ１内に表示される。チャット画面Ｄ１内にメンバー情報をチャットメッセージに対応付けて表示することによって、チャットメッセージが誰の発言かを容易に識別することができる。

メンバー情報は、チャットメールの送信元のメールアドレスに基づいて表示される。なお、メンバー情報としての画像がメンバー記憶部１０に登録されていない場合は、デフォルト画像などの標準設定のものが表示される。デフォルト画像は、登録メンバーに無関係な画像であり、予め記憶されているダミー用の画像データが用いられる。また、メンバー情報としての名前（ニックネームなど）が登録されていない場合には、送信元メールアドレスが標準設定のものとして表示される。この様なチャット画面Ｄ１において、ユーザがサブメニュー・キーを操作すると、チャットメールに関する各種機能の選択を行うためのサブメニューが表示される。

図３は、ユーザがメニューの選択操作を行ってメンバー登録を行う際の画面表示の一例を示した図である。本実施の形態の携帯電話機１では、チャット画面の表示中におけるキー操作によって、メンバー登録を行うことができる。

特に、登録メンバーの登録が有効である場合、メンバー登録画面Ｄ２内のチェックボックスにチェックマークが表示される。一方、登録メンバーの登録が有効でない、すなわち、メンバー登録の無効化が指定された場合には、チェックボックスにチェックマークが表示されない。ユーザは、メンバー登録画面Ｄ２内におけるチェックボックスのチェックマーク表示を確認することによって、メンバー登録が有効であるか否かを容易に識別することができる。

図５のステップＳ１１〜Ｓ１５は、図１の携帯電話機におけるメール送信時の動作の一例を示したフローチャートである。チャットモード中にユーザが作成したチャットメッセージを登録メンバーに送信する場合、まず、チャット処理部５がこのチャットメッセージを含むチャットメールを送信メールとしてメール記憶部４に格納する（ステップＳ１１，Ｓ１２）。

次に、チャット処理部５は、各登録メンバーに対して当該チャットメールを送信するようメール送信部３ａに指示する。このとき、チャットメールとともに、登録が有効である登録メンバーのメールアドレスがメール送信部３ａに順次に出力される。

本実施の形態によれば、ユーザの操作入力によって特定のメンバー登録を一時的に無効化することができるので、チャットに参加させたくないか、あるいは、参加できない登録メンバーに対してはチャットメールが送信されないようにすることができる。従って、チャットメールの無駄な送信を防止することができる。また、この様な特定メンバーからのチャットメッセージはチャット画面に表示されないので、会話を続けたくないメンバーからのチャットメッセージをチャット中にユーザが見なくて済むようにすることができる。

また、メンバー登録を削除することなく、特定の登録メンバーをチャットの対象から除外することができるので、この登録メンバーをチャットに再度参加させる場合に、メールアドレスやメンバー情報を改めて登録する手間を省くことができ、操作性が向上する。また、メンバー登録の無効化後も、メンバー情報が保持されるので、当該メンバーについてチャット画面における表示が標準設定のもの、すなわち、メールアドレスやデフォルト画像に戻ることはなく、チャットメッセージが誰の発言かが判別しづらくなることを防止することができる。

さらに、チャットメンバーの新規登録時には有効となっているので、メンバー記憶部１０に記憶させるすべての登録メンバーについて、メンバー登録が有効であるか否かを登録ごとに指定する必要がなく、登録操作を簡素化することができる。

実施の形態１では、登録が無効化された登録メンバーからのチャットメールはチャット画面に表示されない場合の例について説明した。これに対し、本実施の形態では、登録が無効化された登録メンバーからのチャットメールがチャット画面に表示される場合について説明する。

図６は、本発明の実施の形態２による携帯電話機の要部の一構成例を示したブロック図である。この携帯電話機１ａを図１の場合（実施の形態１）と比較すれば、無効解除照会部１１を備える点が異なっている。すなわち、無効化された登録メンバーからチャット画面表示中にチャットメールを受信した場合に、受信したチャットメールがチャット処理部５によってチャット画面に表示されるのに伴い、無効解除照会部１１がユーザに対してメンバー登録の無効化解除を促す確認画面の表示を行っている。

図７は、図６の携帯電話機におけるチャット画面の表示の一例を示した図である。本実施の形態の携帯電話機１ａでは、登録が無効化された登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージを表示する際に、メンバー登録の無効化解除を促す確認画面Ｃ１が表示される。

この確認画面Ｃ１は、当該登録メンバーの無効化を解除することへの同意をユーザに促すための照会画面であり、ここでは、「奥田さんからのメールです。登録を有効にしますか？」というメッセージが表示される。メッセージには、当該登録メンバーの名前（ニックネームなど）が含まれているので、ユーザは、誰が無効になっているのかを容易に識別することができる。ユーザは、キー操作により、「はい」または「いいえ」を択一的に選択することができる。

ユーザが「はい」を選択し、無効化解除に同意した場合、チャット処理部５によって当該登録メンバーの無効化が解除され、メンバー登録が有効となる。一方、ユーザが「いいえ」を選択して、無効化解除に同意しなかった場合には、当該登録メンバーの登録は無効のままとなる。この様なユーザによる選択操作後は、当該登録メンバーのチャットメッセージが追加されたチャット画面の表示に戻る。

つまり、ユーザが特定の登録メンバーを無効化していたことを忘れていても、無効化された登録メンバーからのチャットメッセージの表示をトリガにして確認画面Ｃ１が表示されるので、この登録メンバーの無効化の指定をユーザに気付かせることができる。

ステップＳ２４では、受信メールの送信元である登録メンバーの登録が有効であるか否かが判別される。この結果、登録が有効でなかった場合、無効解除照会部１１によって、無効化解除への同意を促す確認画面Ｃ１が表示される（ステップＳ２６）。
