本発明は、車載型のナビゲーションシステムやデジタルビデオディスク(DVD)装置などの車両用ディスプレイ装置を取付けるための取付け具に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近年、車載型のナビゲーションシステムやデジタルビデオディスク(DVD)装置等の車両用ディスプレイ装置の普及はめざましく、その車内への取付態様として様々なものが提案されている。

このような技術の一つとして、一端部がそれぞれ車両のコンソールボックスに収納される車載オーディオの左右側面に固定され、他端部がそれぞれコンソールボックスと車載オーディオとの間の隙間から車内に突出する一対の板状の取付け部材と、この取付け部材の車内に突出した他端側を水平に連結する連結部材と、連結部材の上側に回動可能に取付けられ、車両用ディスプレイ装置を支持する支持部材とで構成された車両用ディスプレイ装置の取付け具が提案されている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

この技術では、ダッシュボードなどに車両用ディスプレイ装置を取付けるための孔を開ける必要がなく、また、大画面の車両用ディスプレイ装置を所望の回動角度位置にて固定できるので、車載オーディオやコンソールボックスに設置された空調装置の操作の邪魔になることはない。

しかしながら、上述の技術では、車両用ディスプレイ装置に接続する配線をコンソールボックス内に引き込むことができず、コンソールボックスの外側面など車内に配線を這わせる必要があった。このため、体裁が悪くなるとともに、この配線に運転者もしくは同乗者の手足が引っ掛かり不測の事故を巻き起こす危険性があった。

一方、最近では、従来のコンソールボックスのオーディオ設置スペースの標準サイズであるDINよりも左右の幅が広い「ワイドDIN」というサイズのオーディオ設置スペースを有する車両が販売されるようになってきている。

ここで「DIN」とは、コンソールボックスのオーディオ設置スペースの標準サイズとして使用されているドイツの工業規格のことで、1DINは、高さ50mm、幅180mm、奥行き170mmを、また、この1DINが上下方向に2段重ね合わされた2DINは、高さ100mm、幅180mm、奥行き170mmを現わす。そして、「ワイドDIN」はDINの幅のみが20mm拡大された幅200mmのものを現わす。

しかしながら、現在市販されている車載オーディオは主として通常のDINサイズのものであり、「ワイドDIN」に対応したサイズのものは少ない。このため、一般的には、「ワイドDIN」サイズのオーディオ設置スペースを有するコンソールボックスに通常のDINサイズの車載オーディオを搭載し、オーディオ設置スペースの左右両側端にできた隙間をスペーサーなどで目隠しすることにより対応している。

ここで「ワイドDIN」サイズのコンソールボックスに通常のDINサイズの車載オーディオを設置して、上述した取付け具を用いて車両用ディスプレイ装置を取付けると、コンソールボックス内に車両用ディスプレイ装置の配線を引き込むことができ、オーディオ設置スペースとこれに搭載した車載オーディオとの間の隙間から該配線を引出して車両用ディスプレイ装置に接続することができるようになる。

しかしながら、配線を取り出した隙間部分には目隠しのためのスペーサーを取付けることができなくなり、オーディオ設置スペースとこれに搭載した車載オーディオとの間の隙間が開口したままの状態となる。このため、体裁が悪くなるとともに、この隙間からコンソールボックス内に埃などが入り易くなり、堆積した埃によって車載オーディオが故障するという問題が生じるようになる。

そこで、この発明の主たる課題は、比較的簡素な構造にて、車両のコンソールボックスに車載オーディオを設置した際に生じる左右に体裁よく取付けることができ、かつ、運転やオーディオなどの操作の邪魔にならない汎用性のある車両用ディスプレイ装置の取付け具を提供することである。

請求項1に記載した発明は、「車両のコンソールボックス(12)に車載オーディオ(14)を設置した際に車載オーディオ(14)の両側に生じる左右の隙間(S)を利用して車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を取付けるための取付け具(10)であって、(a)車載オーディオ(14)の左右両側面に固定される一対の固定部材(16)と、(b)固定部材(16)のそれぞれに取付けられ、隙間(S)を塞ぐとともに、その少なくとも一方に配線(28)を通すための切欠き(32)が形成されている一対のブロック部材(18)と、(c)端部がブロック部材(18)に接続され、車内に向けて突出すると共にコンソールボックスの前方に車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)取付用の軸部(20c)が延設されているシャフト部材(20)と、(d)軸部(20c)に取着され、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を取着するディスプレイ装置取着用吊持部(22)とで構成されている」ことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明に係る実施例を図面を参照しつつ説明する。この発明の一実施例(図1〜4)の車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)の取付け具(10)は、車両のコンソールボックス(12)に車載オーディオ(14)を搭載した際、車載オーディオ(14)の左右両側に生じる隙間(S)を利用して車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を取付けるためのものであり、車載オーディオ(14)の左右両側面に取付けられる一対の固定部材(16),この固定部材(16)のそれぞれに固定される一対のブロック部材(18),各ブロック部材(18)に両持されるシャフト部材(20)およびシャフト部材(20)に取着されて車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を吊持ちするディスプレイ装置取着用吊持部(22)などで構成されている。

車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を係止する係止部材(40)は、上述した貫通孔(48)に挿通されるネジ体(40a)と、このネジ体(40a)の前端面に首部(40b)を介して突設された円盤状の係止片部(40c)とからなり、この係止片部(40c)は、ディスプレイ装置(M)を吊持させる際、図5に示すように、ディスプレイ装置(M)の背面(Ma)に形成されている開口部が狭く、奥に行くほど広くなっている横断面T字形の係合溝部(N)に対して相対的嵌入操作で係合される。なお、係止部材(40)の首部(40b)の長さは、ディスプレイ装置(M)に形成された係合溝部(N)の開口部の背面壁(Mb)の厚みよりもわずかに長くに設定されている。また、係止部材(40)の形状等は、ディスプレイ装置(M)側の係合構造に応じて変更可能である。

本実施例の車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)の取付け具(10)を組み立てて車載オーディオ(14)に装着する際には、まず、ブラケット(24)が取付けられた車載オーディオ(14)の左右両側面のそれぞれに固定部材(16)の車載オーディオ取付片(16a)を当接させる。このときブロック部材取付片(16b)が車載オーディオ(14)の正面側を向くように配置する。そして、車載オーディオ取付片(16a)に設けられた貫通孔(16c)と車載オーディオ(14)の側面に設けられた取付孔(14a)との位置を合わせて、貫通孔(16c)にネジ(26)を挿入してその頭部を係止させるとともに、取付孔(14a)にこのネジ(26)を螺着する。これにより、車載オーディオ(14)の左右両側面に固定部材(16)が固着される。

一方、上述の作業を行うとともに、一対の各ブロック部材(18)をシャフト部材(20)の各後端部(20a)に取付け、シャフト部材(20)の軸部(20c)の分割端同士をディスプレイ装置取着用吊持部(22)で連結する。具体的には、ブロック部材(18)のシャフト取付孔(18a)にシャフト部材(20)の後端部(20a)の端部を合わせ、反対側からネジ(34)を挿通して、このネジ(34)を後端部(20a)の端部に螺設された雌ネジ(図示せず)に螺合することによりシャフト部材(20)をブロック部材(18)に固着する。

続いて、固定部材(16)のブロック部材取付片(16b)に、ブロック部材(18)のシャフト部材(20)を取付けた面と反対の面を、シャフト取付孔(18a)が上側となるようにして当接し、ブロック部材取付片(16b)に設けられたネジ孔(16e)とブロック部材(18)の貫通孔(18b)との位置を合わせる。このとき、車載オーディオ(14)の左右方向の幅が機種により多少異なる場合でも、吊持基台(36)の抱き持ち部(36b)内で突合わせた軸部(20c)の分割端の位置を互いにずらして微調整することで車載オーディオ(14)の左右両側面に取付けた固定部材(16)とブロック部材(18)との位置を合わすことができる。つまり、軸部(20c)の分割端の突合わせ部分の間隔を微調整して、これらをディスプレイ装置取着用吊持部(22)で連結することにより、その幅が微妙に異なった様々な種類の車載オーディオ(14)に取付け具(10)を固定することが可能となる。

最後に、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を取付け具(10)に取付けるのであるが、まず、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)の背面(Ma)の係合溝部(N)に図5に示すように係止部材(40)における係止片部(40c)を挿入・係合させる。この状態で、係止部材(40)のネジ体(40a)に螺合している係止部材操作用つまみ(42)を螺動操作することにより、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)の背面壁(Mb)が係止部材(40)の係止片部(40c)と吊持基台(36)の先端部(36e)との間に挟着され、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)ががたつきなく取付けられる。そして、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)に配線(28)を接続して車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)の取付けが完了する。

この取付け状態において、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)の画面角度を調整したい場合には、前記吊持基台(36)の軸部(20c)に対する締め付け用ネジ(50)による締め付け力を緩めて、該吊持基台(36)を軸部(20c)を中心にして前後方向へ傾動変位させ、上向きもしくは下向き加減の好ましい画面傾き角度を選んでから締め付け用ネジ(50)を再度締め付ければよい。勿論、前述のように締め付け力を加減しておき、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を手で動かすことで画面傾き角度を変える事ができるようにしておいてもよい。これにより、車両用ディスプレイ装置(M)を見やすい角度に設定することができる。
