Abstract

PURPOSE:To get a stable setup state in a way of having the centroid of a monitor set low and to make it so as not to prevent the front sight of a driver by interposing an arm member with a step difference between a rotation controlling member and the monitor. CONSTITUTION:An arm member 11 with a step difference is interposed between a rotation controlling member 3 and a monitor 1, through which the centroid of the monitor is lowered as far as a portion for a step difference (d) of the arm member 11. In addition, a connecting part 11c of the arm member 11 is formed into an inclination looking from a side face so as to make the center of gravity become low even in the state that the monitor 1 is tilted down, namely, into a structure being made up of having a locking part to the rotation controlling member 3 of the arm member 11 shifted from another locking part to the monitor 1. With this constitution, since a level as a whole becomes low as far as a portion for the step difference (d) of the arm member 11, a stable setup state lower in the center of gravity is securable and, what is more, any hindrance against the front sight of a driver is reducible.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a small in-vehicle monitor (hereinafter simply referred to as the monitor), and 2 a fixed base, to which the monitor 1 is rotatably connected and supported via a rotation adjustment member 3. . This rotation adjustment member 3 is generally a commercially available product called a shoe adapter, and 4 is a fixed part thereof, and 5 is a movable part which is attached to this fixed part 4 so as to be freely rotatable in the horizontal and vertical directions.

The fixed part 4 is fastened and fixed by a lock dial 6 with a receiving part 4a at the lower end connected to the fixed base 2, while a mounting screw 7 as a mounting base is protruded from the movable part 5. This mounting screw 7 is attached to the monitor 1.
It is tightened and fixed by a lock dial 8 in a state where it is screwed into a screw hole 1a formed on the lower surface of the . Reference numeral 9 denotes a tightening knob for fixing the movable part 5 to the fixed part 4 at any rotational position.

[0005] In the monitor support device constructed in this way, the fixed base 2 is normally attached to the dashboard 10 of the driver's cab.
When viewing the monitor screen, monitor 1 is fixed in an approximately vertical position (Figure 6), and when not viewing the monitor screen, monitor 1 is placed in front. Lay it down almost horizontally (Figure 7)
, thereby ensuring a wide range of forward visibility for the driver.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In such a conventional monitor support device, since the center of gravity of the monitor 1 is located at a high position, the position of the center of gravity (rotation adjustment member From the relationship of the distance b) from the rotation center axis of No. 3 to the center of gravity a, the fixed plate 3 is attached to the dashboard 10.
It is necessary to make the width c of the fixing plate 3 large in the front-rear direction so that the force that causes it to peel off from the fixing plate 3 is not applied. However, in general, the dashboard of an automobile is not a flat surface, but is often formed into a gentle curved surface in the front-rear direction as shown in the figure. If c is long, there will be a large gap between it and the dashboard 10, making it difficult to stably fix the fixing plate 3)
There is a problem. Furthermore, in the conventional configuration, the overall height is high, which makes it difficult to obtain a stable installation condition and greatly obstructs the driver's forward visibility.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a device in which a monitor is rotatably supported on a fixed base via a rotation adjusting member so as to be rotatable in the lowering/erecting position. The center of gravity of the monitor is set low by interposing an arm member having a step between the dynamic adjustment member and the monitor.

[Function] With the above configuration, the front and rear width of the fixed plate can be made smaller than before, making it easier to accommodate the curved shape of an automobile dashboard. Also, the overall height is lower than before, so a stable installation condition can be achieved. This also improves forward visibility.

In this example, a plate-shaped arm member 11 having a step is disposed between the rotation adjustment member 3 and the monitor 1.
The monitor 1 is attached to the rotation adjustment member 3 via the arm member 11. That is, this arm member 11
is a horizontal high step portion 11a, a low step portion 11b, and this high step portion 1.
It has a Z-shape integrally having a vertical connection part 11c connecting the low stage part 1a and the low stage part 11b, and the high stage part 11a is fixed to the movable part 5 of the rotation adjustment member 3, and the monitor 1 is attached to the low stage part 11b. is fixed in place. The arm member 11 is fixed to the rotation adjustment member 3 by screwing the mounting screw 7 of the rotation adjustment member 3 into the screw hole 12 bored in the high step portion 11a and tightening it with the lock dial 8. The arm member 11 and the monitor 1 are fixed by inserting the screw portion 14 of the tightening member 14 into the notch recess 13 formed at the tip of the low step portion 11b.
a, and tighten the tightening member 14 with its tip screwed into the screw hole 1a of the monitor 1.

By inserting the arm member 11 having a step between the rotation adjustment member 3 and the monitor 1 in this way, the center of gravity of the monitor 1 can be increased by the step d of the arm member 11 than before. (See Figure 1)
. Furthermore, in this example, the connecting portion 11c of the arm member 11 is designed so that the center of gravity is low even when the monitor 1 is laid down.
is formed in an inclined shape when viewed from the side, and the fixing part of the arm member 11 to the rotation adjustment member 3 and the fixing part to the monitor 1 are shifted by the dimension e in the figure (see FIG. 2).

[0012] When the monitor 1 is laid down in the device of this embodiment constructed as described above, the position of its center of gravity a is shifted from the central axis of rotation of the rotation adjustment member 3 by the step d of the arm member 11 than in the conventional case. (the distance b from the rotation center axis of the rotation adjustment member 3 to the center of gravity a is short), and the height of the center of gravity at this time of collapse is lower than the conventional one by the dimension e.
(Even if the longitudinal width c of the fixed base 2 is not made as long as the conventional width, the force that causes the fixed base 2 to peel off from the dashboard 10 will not be applied.)

Therefore, by making the longitudinal width c of the fixed base 2 small in this way, it becomes easier to accommodate the curved shape of the dashboard 10, that is, the fixed base 2 and the dashboard 1
The fixing base 2 can be stably adhesively fixed to the dashboard 10 without creating a large gap between the fixing base 2 and the dashboard 10.

Furthermore, in this example device, the overall height is lower than that of the conventional device by the step d of the arm member 11.
A stable installation condition with a low center of gravity can be obtained, and the obstruction to the driver's forward vision can be reduced. Furthermore, in the device of this example, the height of the monitor 1 when it is folded down is also lower than that of the conventional device, so that forward visibility can be further improved.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, in the device of the present invention, the center of gravity of the monitor is lowered by inserting the arm member having a step between the rotation adjustment member and the monitor, so that the front and rear width of the fixed base can be made small. It can be fixed easily to accommodate the curved shape of the dashboard, and since the overall height is low, a stable installation condition can be obtained and forward visibility can be improved.
