車椅子の左右のフレームに、取り付け金具で着脱できるように保持された左右一対の支柱を設け、それぞれの支柱の上端部に天蓋フレームを枢着し、左右の支柱の上部の対応する位置と、左右の支柱の下部に設けた褶動部材との間を、中央で互いに連結したＸリンクで連結し、支柱下部の褶動部材と天蓋フレームの間を支持棒で連結し、天蓋フレームの前部に、死点を超えてロックできる折れリンクを設けて左右の天蓋フレームを連結する。
