Description
【0001】
給紙トレイ(103);
該給紙トレイ(103)に軸(38)を中心に回動可能に装着され、用紙が積載される給紙台(37);
該給紙台上の積載用紙の最上部の用紙を前記用紙搬送手段に送給する給紙ローラ(48);
該給紙ローラ(48)に前記最上部の用紙との接触圧を高くする方向にばね力を加えるばね部材(41),前記給紙台(37)を給紙ローラ(48)に向う方向に回動駆動するための軸体(38),それに固着された従動歯車(39),該従動歯車(39)が噛合う駆動歯車(54),該駆動歯車(54)を回転駆動する減速機(55)および該減速機を駆動する電気モータ(56)を含む、接触圧調整手段(38〜41,54〜56);
前記接触圧の変化による前記給紙ローラ(48)の変位方向のローラ位置(DiP)を検出する手段(71);
送出量積算値(R1U)の増大に対応して高い接触圧(RiP)を与える目標ローラ位置を決定し、前記検出手段(71)が検出するローラ位置が該目標ローラ位置になるように前記接触圧調整手段(38〜41,54〜56)を介して前記給紙台(37)を給紙ローラ(48)に近づく方向に駆動する接触圧制御手段(131);

カラープリンタ100は、画像データ処理装置ACPの画像データ処理器IPP(Image Processing Processor;以下では単にIPPと記述)から、書込みI/F134に記録画像データを受けて、作像ユニット135でプリントアウトする。

[0005]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-167058 discloses a method in which a paper type setting switching means indicating the density (weight) of a paper is provided in a paper feed tray, and a winding motor is driven based on the information to reduce the paper feed pressure. A paper feed device to be set is disclosed.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The paper feeding may fail (feeding error) even when the paper feeding pressure is changed according to the thickness or size of the paper to be fed by the various mechanisms described above. (Feed error) increases.
[0007]
An object of the present invention is to stabilize the accuracy of sheet feeding with high accuracy. Specifically, for example, it suppresses an increase in the frequency of sheet feeding errors over time.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
(1) A paper feed roller (48), a paper feed table (37) for supporting the loaded paper and applying the uppermost one of the loaded paper to the paper feed roller (48), and rotating the paper feed roller to feed the paper. Means for sending out the uppermost sheet of the stacked sheets on the paper table, and means for adjusting the contact pressure between the uppermost sheet and the sheet feed roller (38-41, 54-56) In the device,
Integrating means (131) for calculating an integrated delivery amount (R1U) corresponding to the number of times the paper is fed by the paper feed roller (48); and a contact pressure adjusting means for increasing the integrated delivery amount (R1U). (38-41, 54-56) The paper feeder characterized by comprising a contact pressure control means (131) for increasing the contact pressure via the contact pressure.
[0009]
In addition, in order to facilitate understanding, symbols in the parentheses corresponding to corresponding elements or equivalents of the embodiment shown in the drawings and described later are added for reference as examples. The same applies to the following.
[0010]
According to this, when the use of the paper feed roller (48) becomes longer, that is, when the integrated amount of delivery (R1U) increases, the frictional force on the surface of the paper feed roller (48) decreases or the elasticity decreases, so that in the related art, Although the frequency of paper feeding errors increases, according to the paper feeding apparatus of the above (1) of the present invention, the paper feeding pressure increases as the integrated value of the delivery amount (R1U) increases, so that a paper feeding error may occur. Paper feeding accuracy is high and stable.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
(2) The integrating means (131) is a delivery amount integrated value (R1U) of a value weighted to the number of times of sheet delivery corresponding to the information (R1k) indicating the type of paper loaded on the sheet feeding table (37). The paper feeder according to (1), wherein According to this, even when the paper type of the loaded paper is changed, the possibility of a paper feed error occurring is low, and the paper feed accuracy is high and stable.
[0012]
(3) The integration means (131) generates a delivery amount integration value (R1U) of a value weighted to the number of times of delivery of the sheet corresponding to the information indicating the sheet size of the stacked sheets on the sheet feeding table (37). The sheet feeding device according to (1) or (2). According to this, even when the size of the stacked sheets is changed, the possibility of a sheet feeding error is low, and the sheet feeding accuracy is high and stable.
[0013]
(4) The contact pressure adjusting means (38-41, 54-56) includes a spring member (41) for applying a spring force to the paper feed roller (48) in a direction to increase the contact pressure, and the paper feeder. The sheet feeding device according to any one of the above (1) to (3), including means (38, 39, 54 to 56) for driving the table (37) in a direction to increase the contact pressure.
[0014]
According to this, the spring force (DiP) applied by the spring member (41) to the paper feed roller (48) corresponds to the integrated output amount (R1U) regardless of the amount of paper loaded on the paper feed table (37). By driving the paper feed table (37) so as to match the target value (RiP), the paper feed pressure is automatically set to a value corresponding to the integrated output amount (R1U). It is easy to set the paper feed pressure for the paper feed roller (48).
[0015]
(4a) further comprising a unit (71) for detecting a roller position (DiP) in a displacement direction of the paper feed roller (48) due to a change in the contact pressure, wherein the contact pressure control unit (131) is provided with the contact pressure adjustment unit (38-41, 54-56), the paper feed table (37) is driven until the paper feed roller (48) moves to a position corresponding to the integrated delivery amount (R1U). The paper feeding device according to (4). According to this, the sheet feeding roller (48) is supplied to the sheet feeding roller (48) by position control for driving the sheet feeding table (37) to position the position of the sheet feeding roller (48) at a target position corresponding to the integrated delivery amount (R1U). The paper pressure is set. Setting of the paper feed pressure is easy.
[0016]
(4b) The sheet feeding device according to (4) or (4a), wherein the sheet feeding table (37) is mounted on the sheet feeding tray (103) so as to be rotatable around a shaft (38). According to this, the paper feed table (37) approaches the paper feed roller (48) by the rotation drive and pushes the paper feed roller (48) against the spring force via the stacked sheets.
[0017]
(4c) The contact pressure adjusting means (38-41, 54-56) comprises a shaft (38) for rotating and driving the paper feed table (37), a driven gear (39) fixed thereto, (4b) including a drive gear (54) meshed with the driven gear (39), a speed reducer (55) for driving the drive gear (54) to rotate, and an electric motor (56) for driving the speed reducer. Paper feeder. When the electric motor (56) is energized, it drives the paper feed table (37) to rotate via the speed reducer (55), the drive gear (54), the driven gear (39) and the shaft (38).
[0018]
(4d) The paper feed tray (103) is detachable from a paper transport device (100) that receives paper, and a shaft (38) for rotating and driving the paper feed table (37) is provided. The drive gear (54), the speed reducer (55), and the electric motor (56) are rotatably supported by a paper feed tray (103), and are mounted on the paper transport device (100), and are mounted on the paper feed tray (103). The sheet feeding device according to the above (4c), wherein the driven gear (39) meshes with the driving gear (54) when the sheet is mounted on the sheet conveying device (100).
[0019]
According to this, since the speed reducer (55) serves as a stopper for preventing free rotation of the drive gear, the paper feed tray (103) is mounted on the paper transport device (100), and the driven gear (39) is driven by the paper transport device. When the gear is engaged with the (100) -side drive gear, the paper feed table (37) does not rotate even when the power supply to the electric motor is stopped. However, when the paper feed tray (103) is taken out of the paper transport device (100), when the driven gear (39) is disengaged from the drive gear (54), the driven gear (39) becomes idle. The platform (37) returns and rotates so as to fall to the bottom of the paper feed tray (103) due to its own weight and the weight of the stacked paper thereon. This makes it possible to easily perform operations such as replenishing a sheet bundle to the sheet feeding table (37) and exchanging sheets.
[0020]
(5) image forming means for forming an image on a sheet, sheet conveying means for conveying and unloading the sheet to and from the image forming means, sheet feeding means for feeding the sheet to the sheet conveying means, and image forming means; An image forming apparatus (100) including a control unit (131) for forming an image on a sheet by controlling the operation of each unit in response to an image instruction.
An image forming apparatus, wherein the paper feeding unit is the paper feeding device according to any one of the above (1) to (4d). According to this, the effects described in the above (1) to (4) can be similarly obtained in the image forming apparatus (100).
[0021]
(6) image forming means for forming an image on a sheet; sheet conveying means for conveying and unloading a sheet to and from the image forming means; sheet feeding means for feeding a sheet to the sheet conveying means; In an image forming apparatus (100) including a control unit (131) for forming an image on a sheet by controlling an operation of each of the units in response to an image instruction,
Paper feed tray (103);
A sheet feeding table (37) which is rotatably mounted on the sheet feeding tray (103) about a shaft (38) and on which sheets are stacked;
A feed roller (48) for feeding the uppermost sheet of the stacked sheets on the sheet feed table to the sheet conveying means;
A spring member (41) for applying a spring force to the sheet feeding roller (48) in a direction to increase the contact pressure with the uppermost sheet, and the sheet feeding table (37) is moved in a direction toward the sheet feeding roller (48). A shaft body (38) for rotational driving, a driven gear (39) fixed to the shaft body, a driving gear (54) meshed with the driven gear (39), and a reduction gear (44) for rotating the driving gear (54). 55) and contact pressure adjusting means (38-41, 54-56), including an electric motor (56) for driving the speed reducer;
Means (71) for detecting a roller position (DiP) in a displacement direction of the paper feed roller (48) due to a change in the contact pressure;
Integrating means (131) for calculating an integrated amount of output (R1U) corresponding to the number of times of paper output by the paper feed roller (48);
A target roller position for applying a high contact pressure (RiP) is determined in accordance with the increase of the delivery amount integrated value (R1U), and the contact position is determined so that the roller position detected by the detection means (71) becomes the target roller position. Contact pressure control means (131) for driving the paper feed table (37) in a direction approaching the paper feed roller (48) via pressure adjustment means (38-41, 54-56);
An image forming apparatus comprising:
[0022]
According to this, by driving the paper feed table (37), the paper feed roller (48) is set to the target roller position regardless of the amount of paper loaded on the paper feed table (37). 37) is driven. As a result, the spring force (DiP) applied by the spring member (41) to the paper feed roller (48) matches the target contact pressure (RiP) corresponding to the integrated delivery amount (R1U). That is, the paper feed pressure is automatically determined to be a value corresponding to the integrated delivery amount (R1U). Automatic setting of the paper feed pressure for the paper feed roller (48) is easy.
[0023]
(7) The paper feed tray (103) is detachable from the image forming apparatus main body, and a shaft (38) for rotating and driving the paper feed table (37) is a paper feed tray (103). The drive gear (54), the speed reducer (55), and the electric motor (56) are mounted on the main body of the image forming apparatus, and the paper feed tray (103) is mounted on the main body of the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus according to (6), wherein the driven gear (39) meshes with the drive gear (54).
[0024]
According to this, the operation and effect described in the above (4d) can be similarly obtained in the image forming apparatus (100).
[0025]
(8) In a standby state waiting for the arrival of an image forming instruction, the contact pressure control means (131) sets the target pressure when the roller position (DiP) detected by the detection means (71) is shifted from the target roller position. The image forming apparatus according to (7), wherein the paper feed table (37) is driven via the contact pressure adjusting means (38 to 41, 54 to 56) so as to be at a roller position.
[0026]
When the paper feed tray (103) is taken out of the image forming apparatus (100), the driven gear (39) is allowed to idle, so that the paper feed table (37) is fed by its own weight and the weight of the stacked paper thereon. It returns and rotates so that it falls to the bottom of the paper tray (103). Therefore, when the sheet feeding tray (103) is detached from the image forming apparatus (100) once, the sheet feeding pressure deviates from the target contact pressure (RiP) corresponding to the integrated delivery amount (R1U). According to the present embodiment, in the standby state immediately after the detachment, the sheet feeding pressure is set to the target contact pressure (RiP). Therefore, at the time of image formation in response to the image formation command, the sheet is set at the target contact pressure (RiP). Since it is in contact with the paper feed roller (48), a paper feed error does not occur.
[0027]
(9) In response to the update of the delivery amount integrated value (R1U) by the integration unit (131), the contact pressure control unit (131) determines the target roller position corresponding to the updated delivery amount integrated value (R1U). Then, the sheet feeding table (37) is moved through the contact pressure adjusting means (38-41, 54-56) so that the roller position (DiP) detected by the detecting means (71) becomes the target roller position. The image forming apparatus according to the above (6), (7) or (8).
[0028]
Each time a sheet is fed from the sheet feeding table (37), the thickness of the stack of sheets stacked on the sheet feeding table (37) decreases. Therefore, if the position of the sheet feeding table (37) does not change, the sheet feeding roller Although (48) moves in the direction approaching the paper feed table (37) and the contact pressure decreases, in the present embodiment, the roller position (DiP) detected by the detection means (71) is determined by the delivery amount integrated value (DiP). R1U) Since the paper feed table (37) is driven via the contact pressure adjusting means (38-41, 54-56) to a target roller position for giving a target contact pressure corresponding to the paper feed table (37). ), The contact pressure does not decrease as the paper is fed next.
[0029]
(10) An image forming apparatus including a plurality of paper feed units having a mechanism capable of adjusting a paper feed pressure and having a unit for identifying the type and size of paper set in the paper feed unit.
An image characterized by storing an integrated feed amount corresponding to the number of printed sheets fed for each feed unit and independently setting a feed pressure of each feed unit based on each integrated feed amount. Forming equipment.
[0030]
(11) The image forming apparatus according to (10), wherein the integrated feed amount is weighted according to a paper type set in a paper feed unit.
[0031]
(12) In the image forming apparatus according to the above (10) or (11), the integrated feed amount is a value obtained by weighting the integrated value of the paper amount corresponding to the paper size set in the paper feeding unit.

FIGS. 8 and 9 show the contents of the "feed pressure management" 16 shown in FIG. In this embodiment, the consumption values T1 to T4 are determined as index values of roller consumption for feeding one sheet of paper from each of the paper feed rollers (48 to 50) for feeding out a sheet from each tray. , Weighted by paper size and paper type (two types of plain paper and thick paper in this embodiment), as shown in the following Table 1,
For one A4 or B5 size plain paper, the consumption value T1 = 10,
For one thick sheet of A4 or B5 size, the consumption value T2 = 15,
For one sheet of plain paper of A3 or B4 size, the consumption value T3 = 20,
For one thick sheet of A3 or B4 size, the consumption value T4 = 25,
, And the consumption value conversion table in which the consumption value data T1 to T4 are written in association with the paper size and paper type (plain paper / thick paper) is written in the

[0102]
In the setting of the paper feed pressure of the paper feed roller (38/42/46/50/53), the detection signal of the optical sensor (71) is converted into a digital signal and read. Since the paper feed table (37) is driven using the electric motor (56) so as to match, the integrated consumption value RiU rises due to paper feeding. Even if the switching of the sheet feeding does not occur, if the sheet feeding pressure decreases due to a decrease in the number of sheets stacked on the sheet feeding table due to the large-volume sheet feeding, the sheet feeding table is driven upward to compensate for this.
[0103]
【The invention's effect】
When the use of the paper feed roller (48) is prolonged, that is, when the integrated value (R1U) of the paper feed amount is increased, the frictional force on the surface of the paper feed roller (48) is reduced or the elasticity is reduced. Although the frequency increases, according to the paper feeding apparatus of the present invention, the paper feeding pressure increases as the integrated paper delivery amount (R1U) increases. High and stable.
