しかしながら、これまでにインクジェット技術を使用してPDPパネル、液晶パネル等を量産する技術はこれまでに知られていない。

本発明はこのような事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、PDPパネル、液晶パネル等を量産することができる液滴吐出制御方法、液滴吐出装置、液滴吐出システム及び液滴吐出制御プログラムを提供することを目的とする。

上記目的を達成するために、請求項1に記載の発明は、インク滴を吐出させ、該インク滴を基板上に着弾させることにより前記基板上に回路パターンを形成する液滴吐出制御方法であって、前記基板上に形成する回路パターンを示すCADデータから前記基板に着弾させるための最終データであるインク滴吐出データを作成する際に、前記CADデータが示す回路パターンの形状を考慮して前記CADデータからビットマップデータを作成し、かつ該ビットマップデータに基づいてインク滴吐出データを作成し、該作成されたインク滴吐出データに基づいてインク滴の吐出を制御することを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の実施形態を、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。図1に本発明の実施形態に係る液滴吐出システムの構成を示す。この液滴吐出システムは、インク滴を吐出させ、該インク滴を基板上に着弾させることにより前記基板上にパターンを形成するためのシステムである。

図1において、本実施形態に係る液滴吐出システム1は、パターンを形成する対象となる基板を供給する基板供給手段2と、前記基板がインク滴を吐出するインク滴吐出手段の吐出部(ノズル開口部)に対面する位置を通過するように前記基板を搬送する基板搬送手段3と、インク滴を吐出させ、該インク滴を前記基板上に着弾させることにより前記基板上にパターンを形成する液滴吐出装置4とを有している。

次に、本発明の実施形態に係る液滴吐出装置の動作の一例を図3及び図4に示す。図3及び図4は、ガラス基板に画素を印字する場合の動作を示している。本実施形態では、例えば、画素として液晶パネルのカラーフィルタを想定している。これらの図において、記録対象としてのガラス基板のサイズ、ガラス基板から切り出すチップのチップサイズ、チップピッチを決定し印字データ設定値入力部10により入力する(ステップ100)。

次に、インク滴吐出データを作成する場合に、CADデータが示す回路パターンの形状を考慮した場合のデータ作成手順について図6のフローチャートを参照して説明する。同図において、まず、ビットマップデータ作成部16、及ビットマップ処理部18によりCADデータを要求される分解能でビットマップデータに変換する(ステップ300)。次いで、ビットマップ処理部18では、インク滴のガラス基板への着弾時直径を、インク吐出量、基板の表面状態及びインクの物性に基づいて算出する(ステップ301)。

A first step of calculating a diameter of an ink droplet landing on the substrate based on an ink ejection amount, a surface state of the substrate, and physical properties of the ink;
A second step of converting said CAD data into bitmap data at a required resolution;
A third step of detecting an inflection point of a circuit pattern formed on the substrate in the bitmap data;
A fourth step of determining an ink droplet ejection method in consideration of an inflection point of the circuit pattern detected in the third step;
A fifth step of decomposing the bitmap data into a plurality of bitmap data based on the hitting method determined in the fourth step;
A sixth step of creating the ink droplet ejection data using the plurality of decomposed bitmap data obtained in the fifth step;
Droplet discharge control program for causing a computer to execute the process.
