本発明は周縁がシールされた軟包装袋の検査方法に関するものであり、特には、軟包装袋の周縁部分の外輪検査方法に関するものである。

二枚のプラスチックフィルムを重ねて、その四方の端縁をシールして袋状にした軟包装袋が、食品等の包装袋として広く使用されている。
そして、取扱い易さや安全性等を考慮して、袋の四隅は角が出ないように丸くカットしたり、挟み等の器具を用いずに簡単に袋を破くことが可能なように袋の周縁に引き裂き用のノッチを設けたりしている。

このように軟包装袋の周縁には種々の加工が施されていることが多いため、例えば、コーナーカット不良やノッチ不良が発生すると、中身が漏れたり、腐敗するなどの重大な事故に繋がることが多い。

そのため、コーナーカットの有無、アールの度合い不良、あるいは、ノッチの有無、深さ、位置関係等、要求品質は厳しいものがある。
しかしながら、現在、軟包装袋を機械で自動的に検査する技術・方法はない。紙の枚葉検査装置は存在するが、この装置は絵柄の欠点の有無を検出するための装置で、印刷のある枚葉品の外形検査はできなかった。
そのため、検査員が目視により一枚ずつ異常の有無を検査している現状である。

本発明は、軟包装袋の周縁の形状の良不良を判定する検査方法に関する以上のような問題点を解決するためになされたもので、検査精度が高く、かつ、高速検査が可能な軟包装袋の外輪検査方法を提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の請求項1の発明は、製袋された軟包装袋の周縁の外形を検査する外輪検査方法であって、軟包装袋の外形をCCDカメラに取り込み画像データとして処理して外形のみをアウトライン化し、このアウトライン化されたデータを標準の軟包装袋の外形のアウトライン化されたデータと比較して、製品の良否を判定することを特徴とする、軟包装袋の外輪検査方法である。

このように請求項1記載の発明によれば、軟包装袋の外形をCCDカメラに取り込み画像データとして処理して外形のみをアウトライン化し、このアウトライン化されたデータを標準の軟包装袋の外形のアウトライン化されたデータと比較して、製品の良否を判定するので、検査精度が向上し、かつ、高速検査をすることができる。

本発明の軟包装袋の外輪検査方法を一実施形態に基づいて以下に詳細に説明する。
図1は、軟包装袋の作製から外輪検査までの作業工程の流れを示す説明図である。

すなわち、先ず、プラスチックフィルム等からなる製袋用の巻き取り(1)が準備される。
この巻き取り(1)を一般的に公知の製袋機により周縁がシールされる(製袋工程(2))とともに、袋(10)の隅角(12)を落としたり、引き裂き用のノッチ(13)を設ける等のシール部分(11)の周縁に加工が施され、軟包装袋(試料)(3)が作製される(図2参照)。

作製した軟包装袋(試料)(3)はその外形を一枚ずつCCDカメラに取り込み画像データとして処理して外形のみをアウトライン化する(画像データ処理(4))。

このアウトライン化されたデータを、基準となる標準的な軟包装袋の外形のアウトライン化されたデータと比較して(標準データと比較(5))、製品の良否を判定する(7)。

画像データ処理(4)から良否判定(6)までは、外輪検査工程で機器で瞬時に判断することができる。

外形のデータ比較については、外形全体としては勿論のこと、例えば、隅角の一つずつ毎、ノッチの一つずつ毎等、部分的な外形のデータ比較も可能なように設計されている。このことにより、カールや伸縮を考慮して部分比較する機能を有することになる(例えば、A部、B部などの部分比較)。

上記のように、本発明の軟包装袋の外輪検査方法を採用することにより、製袋品のフィルム検査が可能になり、しかも検査精度が向上し、機械化による高速検査が可能になる。
コーナーカット不良、ノッチ不良を排除することができるので、品質が向上し内容物の品質保証、信頼度向上につながる。
