Abstract
Description
【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a belt line molding having a good appearance and a good sealing property in the vicinity of a vehicle exterior seal lip.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a belt line molding mounted along an upper edge of a door outer panel of an automobile door, wherein the belt line molding is formed of a hard material, The wall has a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section composed of a vehicle inner side wall, and a decorative member is attached to the surface of the vehicle outer side wall, and the side end of the decorative member covers the vehicle outer side wall to near the tip of the vehicle outer side wall. An outer seal lip is provided at the end of the outer side wall to extend downward and seal between the outer side wall and the door outer panel. The outer seal lip is formed of a soft material having a plurality of bent portions in the middle thereof, and a belt line molding is provided. When the lip is attached to the door outer panel, the bent portion of the vehicle-side seal lip abuts on the decorative member side end.
[0010]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the belt line molding is formed of a hard material and has a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section including the vehicle outer side wall, the upper wall, and the vehicle inner side wall, the flange portion of the door outer panel is formed. By sandwiching both sides with a hard material having high rigidity, the belt line molding can be held on the flange portion. Therefore, when the core metal is not buried in the belt line molding, the weight can be reduced.
The decorative member is attached to the surface of the vehicle exterior side wall, and the side end of the decoration member covers the vehicle exterior side wall up to the vicinity of the tip of the vehicle exterior side wall, so that a decorative pattern is formed on the belt line that stands out when the belt line molding is attached to the door. Because it can be provided, it is preferable in design, and the decorative member is provided in the width direction up to the vicinity of the tip of the outer side wall, so that when viewed from the outside of the vehicle, the decorative mall is provided over the entire width of the belt line mall in a range visible from the vehicle outside. Since it can be provided, the upper edge of the door outer panel has a good appearance.
[0011]
Since the vehicle exterior seal lip is provided at the end of the vehicle exterior side wall and extends downward to seal between the door outer panel, rainwater or the like can be prevented from entering between the belt line molding and the door outer panel.
Since the outer seal lip is formed of a soft material having a plurality of bent portions in the middle, the outer seal lip is a soft material and rich in elasticity, and is bent at the plurality of bent portions, so that the flexibility of the outer seal lip is improved. Since the entire length of the lip, that is, the amount of deflection of the lip in the vertical direction increases, even if the gap between the outer side wall and the door outer panel varies, the tip of the outer seal lip can always contact the door outer panel, The sealing performance is improved.
[0012]
When the belt line molding is attached to the door outer panel, the bent portion of the outer seal lip comes into contact with the decorative member side end, so that the belt line molding is provided between the bent portion of the outer seal lip and the decorative member. Since there is space when manufacturing the outer seal lip, there is no need to consider the adhesion between the decorative member and the outer seal lip, the forming of the outer seal lip is easy, and the bent portion of the outer seal lip and the decorative member side end. Even if dust or the like accumulates between them, the bent portion and the end portion on the decorative member side are not bonded to each other, so that dust and the like can be easily removed, so that cleaning is easy.
In addition, after the vehicle is mounted, even if the outer seal lip vibrates due to the vibration of the vehicle, the vibration can be absorbed by deformation of the bent portion, and the joining portion between the outer side wall and the outer seal lip. Since stress is not applied to the portion, no crack is generated in this portion.
[0013]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the bent portion of the outer seal lip has a substantially Z-shaped cross section, and has two bent portions of a first bent portion and a second bent portion in order from the outer side wall. The two bent portions are in contact with the decorative member side end.
[0014]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the bent portion of the outer seal lip is substantially Z-shaped in cross section, and has two bent portions of a first bent portion and a second bent portion in order from the outer side wall. Therefore, the two bent portions are easily bent, the amount of stroke that can bend in the vertical direction as a whole of the outer seal lip becomes longer, and sufficient sealing is performed even if the gap between the outer seal lip and the door outer panel varies. can do.
When the belt line molding is attached to the door outer panel, since the second bent portion is at an acute angle, the tip of the outer seal lip faces toward the back of the door outer panel and is difficult to see from the outside of the vehicle. The seal lip on the outside of the vehicle is less noticeable, which is preferable in terms of design. Also, since the second bent portion abuts the decorative member side end, the side end of the decorative member can be covered, and the second bent portion can push the seal lip tip to the door outer panel. The performance is improved.
[0015]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, the bent portion of the outer seal lip has a substantially stepped cross section, and has two bent portions of a first bent portion and a second bent portion in order from the outer side wall. The bent portion contacts the decorative member side end.
[0016]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the bent portion of the outer seal lip has a substantially stepped cross section, and has two bent portions of a first bent portion and a second bent portion in order from the outer side wall, Since the second bent portion has a substantially right angle, the tip of the seal lip can contact the door outer panel at a substantially right angle, and the pressing force of the tip of the seal lip increases, thereby improving the sealing performance.
In addition, since the tip of the seal lip can be directed to the outside of the vehicle, no recess is formed between the tip of the seal lip and the door outer panel, and dust and the like do not accumulate.
[0017]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, a glass seal lip is provided integrally on the upper wall or the vehicle inner side wall to slide between the door glass and seal between the door glass and the door outer panel. .
[0018]
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, the upper wall or the inner side wall is integrally provided with a glass sealing lip that slides with the door glass and seals between the door glass and the door outer panel. Since it is firmly held by the flange part, the door glass can be raised and lowered and the glass sealing lip can always properly contact the door glass, and the glass is closed between the door glass and the door outer panel Sealing can be performed both at the time of elevating and lowering.
[0019]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, an outer holding lip is provided on the inner surface of the outer side wall, an inner holding lip is provided on the inner surface of the inner side wall, and the flange is held by the inner holding lip and the outer holding lip. The bent locking portion provided at the tip of the inner side wall is locked to the tip locking portion of the door outer panel.
[0020]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the outer side holding lip is provided on the inner surface of the outer side wall, the inner side holding lip is provided on the inner surface of the inner side wall, and the flange portion is held by the inner side holding lip and the outer side holding lip. Even if the thickness of the flange portion varies, the belt line molding can be held on the flange portion without rolling even if the door glass is moved up and down or sucked out of the vehicle.
Since the bent locking part provided at the tip of the inner side wall is locked to the tip locking part of the door outer panel, when installing the belt line molding, only the flange part needs to be inserted, and after installation, the door glass rises In this case, even if the belt line molding is pulled up due to the sliding resistance of the door glass, the bent locking portion is locked to the leading edge locking portion of the door outer panel, so that it becomes difficult to pull out.
