BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an optical device that includes a vibration wave motor and is capable of image blur correction, and an interchangeable lens for a camera.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A vibration wave motor typified by an ultrasonic motor generates a traveling wave on a driving surface of an elastic body by utilizing expansion and contraction of a piezoelectric body, and drives a moving element by the traveling wave (for example, Patent Document 1). ). Since this type of vibration wave motor generates a high torque even at a low rotation, the gear between the motor and the driven member can be omitted. Therefore, when the vibration wave motor is mounted on the interchangeable lens of the camera as a focus adjustment drive source, a quiet focus adjustment operation without gear noise can be realized. Further, since the responsiveness is good, there is an advantage that the focusing lens positioning accuracy is high.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Consider an interchangeable lens equipped with both the image blur correction device and the vibration wave motor. The shake detection gyro obtains an angular velocity by utilizing the Coriolis effect by ultrasonic vibration itself. When the gyro and the vibration wave motor are driven at the same time (when the image blur correction operation and the focus adjustment operation are performed simultaneously), the vibration of the vibration wave motor may be applied to the gyro to cause vibration interference. In other words, the vibration of the difference between the oscillation frequency of the gyro and the oscillation frequency of the vibration wave motor may occur as a beat, and the beat vibration may be erroneously detected as a vibration due to hand shake. If image blur correction is performed based on the erroneous detection result, a satisfactory image blur correction effect cannot be obtained, and conversely, image blur may be promoted.

For example,

Thus, a low frequency component cos ((ω1-ω2) t / 2) appears as a beat. In this way, the beat is generated when the amplitudes of the two vibrations are approximately equal and close to each other in frequency, and therefore, no beat is generated if the frequencies of the two vibrations are greatly separated or the amplitude is changed. .

The operation of this embodiment will be described more specifically with reference to the flowchart of FIG. It is assumed that the interchangeable lens is already attached to the camera body (not shown).

In the above, the interference between the ultrasonic motor and the gyro vibration has been described. For example, it is conceivable to perform focus adjustment and image blur correction using separate ultrasonic motors. Also in this case, the vibrations of the ultrasonic motor interfere with each other and the same problem as described above may occur, so that the present invention can be applied.
[0047]
The speed detection of the ultrasonic motor is not limited to the embodiment, and can be detected from the frequency of the oscillation unit, for example. Further, although the gyro is used as the camera shake detection means, a sensor other than the gyro may be used as long as the vibration can be detected by generating the vibration. Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, an ultrasonic motor that generates nine traveling waves is used, but an ultrasonic motor having another wave number may be used. Further, a vibration wave motor other than the ultrasonic motor may be used. For example, a mode-degenerate type vibrator using a primary mode vibration and a torsional secondary vibration may be used.
[0048]
The configuration of the image shake correction mechanism is not limited to that shown in FIG. 3, and the shake correction lens may be driven using an actuator (for example, a DC motor) other than the electromagnetic actuator. Although described with an interchangeable lens of a camera, the present invention can also be applied to other optical devices including a vibration wave motor and an image blur correction mechanism, such as a lens-integrated still camera and a video camera.
[0049]
【The invention's effect】
According to the first and ninth aspects of the present invention, since the drive of the correction optical system by the image blur correction device is permitted / prohibited based on the information on the drive speed of the vibration wave motor, vibration interference can occur. In addition, the driving of the correction optical system can be prohibited, and malfunction of the correction optical system due to vibration interference can be avoided. On the other hand, when there is no risk of vibration interference, a photo with no image blur can be obtained by performing an image blur correction operation.
According to the fourth and eleventh aspects of the present invention, when the tracking mode for repeatedly performing the focus adjustment is set so that the focus adjustment optical system follows the movement of the subject, the correction drive device is used when the vibration wave motor is driven. When the correction optical system is allowed to drive and the tracking mode is not set, driving the correction optical system is prohibited when driving the vibration wave motor, so image blur correction can be performed while tracking It is possible to take a picture free from image blur and blur without sacrificing the shooting response. Since the motor drive speed in the tracking mode is slow, the vibrations of the vibration wave motor and the image blur detection device do not interfere with each other, and the correction optical system does not malfunction. On the other hand, when not in the tracking mode, the correction optical system is prohibited from driving when the vibration wave motor is driven.
