【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述のような、商品をいわば開架式の商品棚に展示することは、客側の立場からすれば商品を十分吟味できる利点があるものの、店側の立場からは商品盗難の危険性も大きく、店員の監視に要する労力も無視できず、それらが経営上の大きな問題にまで発展する可能性もなきにしもあらずである。一方自動販売機を設置して、店員がいなくても自動的に商品を販売できるようにする方式もあるが、自動販売機自体かなり大きい容積を占めるから、これを店内に置くことは好ましくなく、そのため自動販売機は通常屋外に置かれることが多いが、屋外では自動販売機内に納められた現金の盗難事故の危険性があり、そのための防御手段の費用も次第に高額になってきている。それ故、本発明の課題は、店内に商品を展示でき、しかも店員の負担を増やすことなく盗難を防止できる商品販売に使用するユニットを提供することにある。
