Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a switch device and a cross-connect system used to switch communication paths when configuring a communication device such as a packet communication system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The related art related to the present invention is disclosed in, for example,
In a communication system that transmits digital signals in the form of a packet or the like, there is a possibility that a failure occurs in a transmission path or a failure occurs in a communication device itself. Even when such a trouble occurs, it is necessary to continue important communication.
Therefore, a spare is prepared for a transmission line or a communication device to be used in advance, and the system is switched to the spare when a trouble occurs or maintenance work is performed.
[0003]
Further, since a phase difference usually occurs between a signal passing through the switching source system “0” and a signal passing through the switching destination system “1”, an instantaneous interruption occurs in communication at the time of switching. In order to eliminate such an instantaneous interruption, a circuit board called an additional package is conventionally used to place a signal passing through the switching source system “0” and a signal passing through the switching destination system “1”. A phase difference is detected, and a delay for canceling the detected phase difference is generated to prevent instantaneous interruption at the time of switching.
[0004]
However, when an additional package function is added after the operation of the communication system as an optional function, an instantaneous interruption occurs at the time of adding an additional package or during the execution of phase matching, as described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H11-163873. there is a possibility.
Therefore, in the technique of
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-8-223145
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional technology, when adding or deleting the instantaneous interruption switching function, which is an optional function, it is necessary to change the connection cable and remove and insert the package, and these operations are performed manually. Is the fact.
[0006]
For this reason, there is a possibility that an operator's operation error may occur, which may cause a failure of the communication system or a communication failure. In addition, this causes an increase in the operation cost of the communication system.
In addition, in the related art, it is inevitable that it takes time to add or delete the instantaneous interruption switching function. Therefore, it has not been possible to immediately respond to a request from a customer for the addition or deletion of the instantaneous interruption switching function.
[0007]
In addition, it is necessary to configure an extension package that realizes the instantaneous interruption switching function for each port through which signals pass, so even if the instantaneous interruption switching function is not required, the extension package is installed. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a space for the operation, and the size of the apparatus has been increased more than necessary.
A cross-connect device is known as a device for switching a connection state between a number of ports. If the system is configured to combine this cross-connect device and the hitless switching device, the addition / deletion of the hitless switching function and the addition / deletion of hardware for the hitless switching can be separated. And the above-mentioned problems can be overcome.
[0008]
However, in such a system, half of a large number of ports provided in the cross-connect device must be connected to the non-interruptible switching device in order to reliably respond to the user's request for adding the non-interruptible switching function. Must be allocated in advance.
Therefore, when the percentage of ports that actually use the hitless switching function is small, most of the many ports of the cross-connect device allocated for connection with the hitless switching device remain unused. And a large waste occurs. This increases equipment costs.
[0009]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a switch device and a cross-connect system that can add a non-instantaneous interruption switching function and have less waste.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
[0011]
According to the first aspect, by mounting the first interface board as the interface board or the extension interface board, it becomes possible to communicate with an external transmission path.
Further, by mounting the second interface board as the interface board or the extension interface board, hardware for instantaneous interruption switching can be added.
[0012]
Further, by mounting one or two of the third interface boards as the interface board or the extension interface board, it becomes possible to communicate with each other among a plurality of switch devices.
In the case where a plurality of switch devices are arranged, the third connection portion or the fourth connection portion of the switch board in one switch device and the fourth connection portion or the third connection portion of the switch board in the other switch device are provided. By connecting the connection sections to each other, a plurality of cross point switches are arranged and connected to each other, so that the number of switchable ports can be increased as the number of prepared switch devices is increased. .
[0013]
For this reason, the number of ports for signals handled by a single switch device is determined in advance to be small, and if the number of switch devices used is increased as necessary, the number of boats actually required by the user should be prepared. And the number of unnecessary ports that are not used can be reduced.
A second aspect of the present invention is the switch device according to the first aspect, wherein the switch control unit of the switch board controls a state of the cross point switch according to a control signal from outside the device.
[0014]
According to the second aspect, the state of the cross point switch in the switch device can be controlled by a control signal supplied from the outside. Therefore, when a system is configured using a plurality of switch devices, crosspoint switches of the plurality of switch devices can be intensively controlled according to the number of ports to be used.
A third aspect of the present invention is a cross-connect system comprising a plurality of the switch devices according to the first aspect, wherein the at least one switch device includes the first interface board and the third interface board, and at least another switch board is provided. One switch device is provided with two of the third interface boards.
[0015]
According to the third aspect, the number of ports to be used can be expanded by combining a plurality of switch devices equipped with different types of interface boards.
[0016]

The phase
[0029]
The time interval at which the phase pattern is inserted is Tmin or more and Tmax or less. Tmin is a fixed time larger than twice the maximum delay difference (the maximum value of the delay difference that can be detected on the receiving side), and Tmax is a predetermined maximum time (Tmin <Tmax).
Actually, after a phase pattern is inserted at a certain point in time, the next phase pattern is inserted after the lapse of Tmin and before the lapse of Tmax.
[0030]
The signal input to the receiving unit 50 from the port Py is input to the
[0031]
The phase pattern detection unit 52 (1) detects the timing of the phase pattern included in the signal input from the port Py, and the phase pattern detection unit 52 (2) detects the timing included in the signal input from the port Pz. Detect the timing of the phase pattern.
The phase difference detection unit 53 detects a difference between the timing detected by the phase pattern detection unit 52 (1) and the timing detected by the phase pattern detection unit 52 (2) as a phase difference. The delay time of the signal passing through the FIFO buffer 51 (1) and the delay time of the signal passing through the FIFO buffer 51 (2) are adjusted according to the phase difference detected by the phase difference detection unit 53.

The inter-device
In a relatively large-scale communication system, it is necessary to connect a large number of communication lines and various communication devices to each other, and to switch communication paths as necessary. Therefore, the number of ports to be handled is larger than the number of ports that can be handled by one

In such a case, a cross-connect system may be configured by combining a large number of

[0035]
For example, the connector Ca of the switch device 10 (1, 1) and the connector Cb of the switch device 10 (1, 2) adjacent in the vertical direction are connected by a predetermined connection cable (not shown). The connector Ca of (1, 2) is connected to the connector Cb of the adjacent switch device 10 (1, 3) by a connection cable.
The connector Cint of the switch device 10 (1,1) and one connector Cint of the switch device 10 (2,1) adjacent in the lateral direction are connected by a predetermined connection cable (not shown). The other connector Cint of the device 10 (2, 1) is connected to one connector Cint of the switch device 10 (3, 1) on the right by a connection cable.
[0036]
Further, since the switch device 10 (A) is provided with the connector Cext, external communication lines are connected to 10 (1,1), 10 (1,2),..., 10 (1, n-1), 10 (1). (1, n).
Further, since the switch device 10 (1, p) includes the interface board 32 provided with hardware for instantaneous interruption switching, the function of instantaneous interruption switching can also be realized.

【The invention's effect】
When a cross-connect system is configured using the switch device of the present invention, the number of ports to be handled can be increased by flexibly changing the system configuration by adding switch devices as needed. Also, cross-connection between arbitrary ports can be guaranteed. Further, even during the operation of the system, it is possible to add external ports and add hardware for instantaneous interruption switching. Therefore, the instantaneous interruption switching function can be added only by adding minimum hardware without preparing hardware and ports for instantaneous interruption switching in advance. When hardware for instantaneous interruption switching is installed, an instantaneous interruption switching function can be added only by switching the switch.
