Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video phone system wherein a videophone can easily be operated without having the intelligence of a personal computer at all. <P>SOLUTION: The video phone system is provided with: a plurality of terminals; and a server connected to the terminals via the Internet, the terminal including a touch panel menu whereby a user enters its intension and request, and the server including an exchange function for searching a terminal to be connected among the terminals and connecting with the terminal. The terminal provided to the system automatically attaches a unique terminal number embedded in itself to a telephone number entered by the user and transmits the resulting number to the server as authentication information, and the server provided to the system receives the authentication information, or the server transmits a telephone directory menu to the terminal, and the terminal displays the telephone directory menu on its touch panel menu to allow the user to select a communication connection opposite party. 本発明は、インターネット通信によるテレビ電話システムに係わり、る。

【従来の技術】
超高齢化社会を控えた現在、独居老人や夫婦のみで生活している世帯が増えている。更に、孫や子供から離れて老人ホームや養護施設で生活する老人も増えてきている。孤独という精神的な不安や、安全管理の問題は非常に重要な問題となってきている。
そこで、テレビ電話を利用することで視覚的な効果により、いつも近くに親戚や知人がいるという思いになり、安全管理面のみならず、精神的な安心感がもてたり、心の健康増進に期待できる。

また、共働きの世帯が増え、幼児が保育園や保育所に預けられる時間が長くなるという傾向もある。この場合も、保育園や保育所にテレビ電話を設置すると、親が幼児から遠く離れていても、テレビ電話を利用することで視覚的な効果により、いつも近くに親がいるという思いになり、安全管理面のみならず、精神的な安心感がもてたり、心の健康増進に期待できる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来のテレビ電話システムは汎用パーソナルコンピュータ（以下、パソコンと称す）を使うもので、操作にパソコンの知識を必要とした。そのため、幼児や老人には使用が難しく、なかなか普及が進まないという問題があった。

本発明は、上記問題を鑑みてなされたものであって、その目的とするところは、全くパソコンの知識がなくてもテレビ電話の操作が容易にできるテレビ電話システムを提供するものである。特に、老人ホーム、養護施設や保育園に設置されて、老人や園児が利用するに適したテレビ電話システムを提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、複数の端末機と、前記端末機とインターネットを介して接続されるサーバーとを備え、前記端末機は利用者の意思や要求を入力するためにタッチパネル画面を有し、前記サーバーは各端末機間で接続すべき端末機を探して接続する交換機機能を有するテレビ電話システム及びその端末機とサーバーに関する。
そして、上記目的を達成するために、請求項１に記載のテレビ電話システムの端末機は、利用者が入力した電話番号に端末機が自身に埋め込まれたユニークな端末番号を自動的に付加して認証情報としてサーバーに送信することを特徴とする。これにより、接続間違いを防止する。

請求項２に記載のテレビ電話システムの端末機は、請求項１記載の特徴に加えて、一度認証情報がサーバーに登録された後は、電源が入ると、タッチパネル画面に認証情報入力画面は表示せずに、自動的に認証情報をサーバーに送信し、端末機とサーバーとの間の認証を自動的に行うことを特徴とする。これにより、利用者による認証手続を省略して操作を容易にする。
請求項３に記載のテレビ電話システムの端末機は、請求項１または２記載の特徴に加えて、認証情報として、端末機のユニークな端末番号、電話番号に加えて、グループ番号をサーバーに送信することを特徴とする。これにより、更に、接続の間違いを防止する。

請求項４に記載のテレビ電話システムの端末機は、タッチパネル画面に電話帳画面を表示して利用者に通信接続する相手を選択させることを特徴とする。これにより、利用者はタッチパネル画面に触れるだけで通信接続する相手を選択できるので操作が容易になる。
請求項５に記載のテレビ電話システムの端末機は、請求項４に記載の特徴に加えて、前記電話帳画面に、愛称、氏名、写真の群の中から選ばれた少なくとも一つが、電話番号に加えて、更に表示されていることを特徴とする。これにより、選択の間違いを防止する。

請求項６に記載のテレビ電話システムの端末機は、請求項４又は５に記載の特徴に加えて、前記電話帳画面が予め登録されたグループのメンバー内の電話帳であることを特徴とする。これにより、更に選択の間違いを防止する。

請求項７に記載のテレビ電話システムのサーバーは、端末機から電話番号と端末機のユニークな端末番号を受信して端末機を認証することを特徴とする。これにより、接続のまちがいを防止する。
請求項８に記載のテレビ電話システムのサーバーは、請求項７に記載の特徴に加えて、認証情報として、グループ番号を端末機のユニークな端末番号、電話番号に加えて受信して端末機を認証することを特徴とする。これにより、接続の間違いを更に防止する。

請求項９に記載のテレビ電話システムのサーバーは、端末機へ電話帳画面を送信して、端末機のタッチパネル画面に電話帳画面を表示させて利用者に通信接続する相手を選択させることを特徴とする。電話帳画面からの選択であるので利用者の選択の間違いを防止して操作が容易になる。
請求項１０に記載のテレビ電話システムのサーバーは、請求項９に記載の特徴に加えて、前記電話帳画面に、愛称、氏名、写真の群の中から選ばれた少なくとも一つを、電話番号に加えて表示していることを特徴とする。これにより、利用者による選択の間違いを更に防止する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施形態の例を図面に基づいて説明する。図１は本実施形態に係わるテレビ（ＴＶと称す）電話システムの各機器の接続構成の概略を示す図である。図２は本実施形態に係わる専用端末機の構成を示す図である。

図１において、本実施形態に係わるＴＶ電話システムは、ＴＶ電話サーバー１（以下、単にサーバー１と称す）と、インターネットを介して前記サーバー１に接続される端末機２，３，４，５，６を基本的に備えている。尚、ＡＤＳＬや光ファイバーを利用したブロードバンドタイプが望ましい。
サーバー１は固定インターネットプロトコル（ＩｎｔｅｒｎｅｔＰｒｏｔｏｃｏｌ、以下、ＩＰと称す）アドレスを有しており、端末側のＩＰアドレスは、ＡＤＳＬ等を介してインターネットサーバーに接続されると与えられるＩＰ（以下、非固定ＩＰと称す）アドレスである。

サーバー１としては、インターネット通信手段やメモリー（記憶手段）、音声収録再生手段、画像収録再手段を備えた一般的なコンピュータが挙げられる。そして、前記コンピュータには本実施形態のＴＶ電話システムに係わるサーバーとして前記コンピュータを作動させるための専用ソフトが搭載されている。サーバー１は各端末機間で接続すべき端末機を探して接続するという交換機や各端末機間で伝言すべき端末機を探してメッセージを知らせるという伝言サーバーのような役目をする。

端末機２，３，４，５，６の種類としては、専用端末機２，３、汎用端末機４，５、伝言用端末機６などがある。
汎用端末機４，５としては、本実施形態のＴＶ電話システムに係わる端末機として作動させるための専用ソフトが搭載された汎用パソコンやタブレットパソコンが挙げられる。前記汎用パソコンやタブレットパソコンにはスピーカー、マイク、カメラ、インターネット通信手段、音声収録再生手段、画像収録再手段等を備えていることが必要である。
同時通信ではなく、単に伝言メッセージを送受信する伝言用端末機６としては、カメラ付き形態電話が挙げられる。

専用端末機２，３の一例が図２に示されている。専用端末機２，３は、タッチパネル画面７，ＣＣＤ等のカメラ８，指向性マイク９，スピーカー１０，指紋センサー１１、内臓された通信手段、内臓された中央処理装置（ｃｅｎｔｒａｌｐｒｏｃｅｓｓｉｎｇｕｎｉｔ、以下、ＣＰＵと称す）、内臓されたメモリー（記憶手段）、内臓された音声収録再生手段、内臓された画像収録再生手段等を備えている。そして、各手段は、情報信号のやりとりが可能なように前記ＣＰＵに接続されている。そして、前記ＣＰＵには本実施形態のＴＶ電話システムに係わる専用端末機として前記各手段を作動させるための専用ソフトが搭載されている。

タッチパネル画面７は文字が画像を表示する表示手段であると共に、文字や電話をかけたい相手を選択する等の利用者の意思や要求を入力するための入力手段である。このタッチパネル画面７の利用により、マウスやキーボードを使って利用者の意思や要求を入力するパソコンより操作が容易になる。更に、本実施形態においては、後述するように、全くパソコンの知識がなくてもＴＶ電話の操作ができるようにタッチパネル画面７の表示構成が工夫されている。

ＣＣＤカメラ８，マイク９，スピーカー１０は、それぞれ画像入力手段、音声入力手段、音声出力手段を構成しており、それぞれの各手段として機能するものであれば、他の機器であってもよい。指紋センサー１１は、利用者を識別するための識別手段を構成しており、識別手段として機能するものであれば、他の機器であってもよい。
更に、この専用端末機２，３は昇降自在なテーブルに固定することが好ましい。これにより、専用端末機２，．３は昇降手段を有することとなり、利用者の利用しやすい高さに合わせることが容易になる。

次に、図３乃至図１７に基づいて本実施形態のＴＶ電話システムの作動を説明する。
本実施形態において、老人ホーム或いは保育園等の施設に第１専用端末機２を設置し、家庭側に第２専用端末機３或いは、汎用端末機４，５、若しくは伝言用端末機６を設置する。尚、端末機の一つは必ず施設に設置しなければならないというわけではなく、また端末機の一つは必ず家庭に設置しなければならないというわけではない。端末機はＴＶ電話が必要とされるところに設置或いは携帯される。

［メンバー登録］
先ず、第１専用端末機２の利用者は、予めこのＴＶ電話システムを利用者するメンバー即ち、端末機情報を記載したカードをサーバー１の開設者へ郵送する。メンバー情報の例としては、予めこのＴＶ電話システムを利用者するメンバーの氏名若しくは愛称、前記氏名等別電話番号、予めこのＴＶ電話システムを利用者するメンバーのグループ名等、図３に示すものが挙げられる。図３において、花組は第１専用端末機２の利用者である。第１専用端末機２は利用者がかずおの端末機と、利用者がやすこの端末機とグループであり、ＴＶ電話の通信接続するときはこのグループ内で通信接続することをこの手続によって申請する。
これにより、インターネットを利用しているが、予め定めた相手以外へは操作の不備があっても接続できない様になる。また、定めた相手以外からもかかってこない。

サーバー１では、図４に示すように、前記郵送されてきたメンバー情報をグループ名毎にグループ番号を付与して順に登録する。前記各電話番号に関連付けられて、それぞれの各氏名若しくは愛称、グループ名、グループ番号が登録される。
メンバーが利用する端末機のＩＰアドレスは上記したように非固定ＩＰアドレスである。接続のたびに現在のＩＰアドレスとして登録される。それ故、メンバーの電話番号の登録が必要となる。接続すべき相手を捜す際に、グループ番号、そして、電話番号が重要な役割を果たす。「リンク情報」「公開」については後述する。
サーバー１で上記登録が終了すると、サーバー１開設者は登録完了を記載したカードを第１専用端末機２は利用者へ郵送する。

［登録の確認］
登録完了カードを受け取った第１専用端末機２の利用者は、第１専用端末機２を立ちあげる。
すると、図５に示すような登録確認の画面がタッチパネル画面７に表示される。第１専用端末機２の利用者が、愛称を花組として登録した自分の電話番号を入力する画面である。
画面中、左下部に電話番号を入力するための数字ボタンが配置されている。前記数字ボタンの上方、即ち、画面中、左上部に空白の３つの矩形欄が表示されている。これは入力された電話番号を表示するための欄で前記数字ボタンを押すことによって入力された数字がこの欄に表示される。

前記３つの矩形欄の右、即ち、画面中、右上部に電話番号の入力の仕方等を説明するビデオを見るための説明ビデオ再生スイッチボタンが表示されている。このスイッチボタンを押すと、ここに説明ビデオが再生される。前記説明ビデオを再生スイッチの下方、即ち、画面中、右下部に入力した電話番号を登録するための登録ボタンと取り消すための取消しボタンが表示されている。登録ボタンを押すと図６に示すような電話番号を確認するための画面がタッチパネル画面７に表示される。取消しボタンを押すと、前記３つの矩形欄は空白にもどり、電話番号の入力をもう一度最初からやり直すことができる。

図６の確認画面の上部には、入力した電話番号が表示されている。確認画面の下部には電話番号を登録するための登録ボタンと取り消すための取消しボタンが表示されている。登録ボタンを押すと、前記電話番号と共に第１専用端末機２に予め設定されているユニークな端末番号がサーバー１に送信される。前記ユニークな端末番号としては専用端末機の製造時のシリアルナンバーや専用ソフトのシリアルナンバー等が挙げられる。
取消しボタンを押すと、タッチパネル画面７は図５に示す画面に戻り、電話番号の入力をもう一度最初からやり直すことができる。

サーバー１は、前記第１専用端末機２のユニークな端末番号及び利用者の電話番号を受信すると、まず、前記利用者の電話番号を既に登録済の電話番号と照合する。該当電話番号を見出すと、前記該当電話番号に関連付けて前記ユニークな端末番号を登録する。そして、該当電話番号に関連付けて既に登録されている愛称若しくは氏名、グループ名、グループ番号を前記第１専用端末機２へ送信する。必要に応じて第１専用端末機２のユニークな端末番号と利用者の電話番号も前記第１専用端末機２へ送信する。

第１専用端末機２は、前記愛称若しくは氏名、グループ名、グループ番号を受信すると、前記第１専用端末機２のユニークな端末番号と利用者の電話番号に関連付けて、前記愛称若しくは氏名、グループ名、グループ番号を登録する。これで第１専用端末機２の利用者の登録の確認が終了する。
その後は、第１専用端末機２に電源が入ると、自動的に必ずこれらの情報、即ち、第１専用端末機２のユニークな端末番号、グループ番号、グループ名、電話番号、愛称若しくは氏名を第１専用端末機２の認証情報としてサーバー１に送信する。タッチパネル画面７に認証情報入力画面は表示せず、第１専用端末機２とサーバー１との間の認証工程が自動的に行われることになる。

第１専用端末機２からの登録確認が終了すると、若しくは、第１専用端末機２に電源が入れられて第１専用端末機２とサーバー１間で自動認証が終えると、サーバー１は既に登録された図４に示す情報に基づいて、図７に示すようなＴＶ電話帳の画面を第１専用端末機２へ送信する。これは登録されたグループのメンバーの電話帳である。図７に示された例では、花組のメンバーのみのＴＶ電話帳である。

第１専用端末機２では、前記図７に示すようなＴＶ電話帳の画面がタッチパネル画面７に表示される。既に登録したメンバーの電話帳である。
画面中、各メンバーの電話番号が縦方向に並べて表示されている。そして、メンバーの顔写真、愛称若しくは氏名等の各電話番号に関連付けれた情報が順に横方向に表示されている。画面左端では、その電話番号のメンバーの端末機に接続可能か否かが表示されている。例えば、接続可能な場合は○等の接続可能ボタンが明瞭に表示される。また、端末機の電源が入っていないメンバーや利用者本人の場合は接続不可であるので、×等で接続不可が表示される。
画面右端に「もどる」ボタン及び「つぎへ」ボタン」が表示されている。「つぎへ」ボタンを押すと電話帳の次頁へ移動し、「もどる」ボタンを押すと電話帳の前頁へ移動する。

画面下部にこの端末機の他の機能を示すボタンが表示されている。「グループ名」ボタン「グループ番号」ボタンは、この第１専用端末機２の利用者のグループ名及びグループ番号を確認したいときに使用するボタンである。これらのボタンをそれぞれ押すと、グループ名及びグループ番号をそれぞれ表示する。「電話帳の更新」ボタンは電話帳を更新するときに使用する。「一般通信へ」ボタンはメンバーとは関係なく一般的なインターネットの通信を行うときに使用するボタンである。「タイマー」ボタンは、第１専用端末機２の作動時間を設定するために使用するボタンである。「リンク電話帳」ボタンは、第１専用端末機２の利用者のグループとリンクされた他のグループの電話帳を表示させるためにボタンである。「番号を公開」ボタンは第１専用端末機２利用者の電話番号をメンバー以外の人に公開して、メンバー以外の端末機からの通信接続が可能であることを意思表示するために使用するボタンである。「公開ＴＶ電話帳」ボタンはサーバー１に登録された電話番号をメンバー以外に公開してもよいという端末機の利用者の公開ＴＶ電話帳を表示するときに使用するボタンである。

第１専用端末機２の利用者が、画面中の顔写真等から接続したいメンバーを見出すと、接続したいメンバーの顔写真、愛称若しくは氏名、電話番号、接続可能ボタンのいずれかを押す。例えば、かずおの接続可能ボタンを押すと、第１専用端末機２は、かずおという愛称、電話番号、グループ名、グループ番号と共に接続要求をサーバー１に送信する。その一方、図８に示すようような待ち受け画面をタッチパネル画面７に表示する。

サーバー１は、接続要求と共に受信した情報に基づいて、図４に示すような登録情報の中から愛称かずおの端末機の現在のＩＰアドレスを捜し出し、第１専用端末機２と愛称かずおの端末機とを接続する。

愛称かずおの端末機と接続されると、第１専用端末機２において、図９に示すような画面がタッチパネル画面７に表示される。画面内に大きく相手、即ち、愛称かずおの画像が写しだされる。右上部に小さく自分、即ち、第１専用端末機２の利用者の画像が写しだされる。
相手に送る自分の画像が送信側の画面にも表示できるのでＣＣＤカメラを調整することで顔の位置を合わせたり、送りたい画像を確認する事ができる。
自分の画像の下の「写真ボタンにする」というボタンは、図７に示したＴＶ電話帳の顔写真を登録更新するときに押す。このボタンを押すと、その時、写っていり自分の画像がキャプチャされて自動的にＴＶ電話帳の顔写真ボタンの画像となってサーバー１へ送られる。但しこの機能はメンバー間の通信時のみ、使用可能となっている。サーバー１は、この顔写真を第１専用端末機２の利用者として登録する。前回、既に登録されている場合は更新される。

画面下部の「自分の画像を相手に送る」ボタンは、自分の画像を相手に送るときに使用する。但し、メンバー間の通信時は、自動的に自分の画像は相手に送られている。

図１０は、第１専用端末機２が愛称かずおの端末機に接続できなった場合の画面である。サーバー１は接続に失敗すると、図１０に示すような画面を第１専用端末機２に送信し、第１専用端末機２において、この画面がタッチパネル画面７に表示される。

また、専用端末機において、着信時は、付属のスピーカーで着信音が流れる。着信音の選択、例えば、ベルや太鼓と音量の調整する。またグループモードでは発信者の愛称が着信音として設定できる。

このように、本実施形態においては全くパソコンの知識がなくてもテレビ電話システムの操作ができる様に工夫されている。また、本実施形態は、インターネットを利用しているが、あらかじめきめた所以外へは操作の不備があっても、接続できない様になっている。また、きめた所以外からはかかってこないようにもなっており、高齢者でも安心である。

次に、図４に戻りリンク情報について説明する。第１専用端末機２の利用者のグループ名は花組、グループ番号はＦＣＸＸＸ１であるが、他のグループ、例えば、月組のメンバーとも交流がある場合、第１専用端末機２の利用者は、花組と月組のリンクを許可することを郵送などでサーバー１の開設者に知らせる。その際、交流するグループ名、およびそのグループ番号も知らせる。例えば、「グループ名：花組、そのグループ番号：ＦＣＸＸＸ１と、グループ名：月組、そのグループ番号：ＦＣＸＸＸ２とをリンクさせてください」。

サーバー１では、前記登録申請に基づいて図４に示す第１専用端末機２の利用者である花組のリンク情報を他のグループとのリンク許可として「可」と登録する。そして、図１１に示すようなリンクテーブルを作成して登録する。例えば、図１１に示すリンクテーブルは、第１専用端末機２の利用者である花組からグループ名：月組、およびそのグループ番号：ＦＣＸＸＸ２との交流を許可する知らせがあったときに作成されるリンクテーブルである。花組のリンクテーブルに「月組＋ＦＣＸＸＸ２」と登録する。一方、月組のリンクテーブルに「花組＋ＦＣＸＸＸ１」と登録する。

このように「リンク情報：可」と登録された第１専用端末機２を立ち上げ、そのタッチパネル画面７に表示された図７に示すＴＶ電話帳画面の「リンク電話帳」ボタンを押すと、リンクされたグループのメンバーについてのＴＶ電話帳の表示要求がサーバー１に送付される。
サーバー１において、前記表示要求が受信されると、図１１に示した花組のリンクテーブルに基づいて、花組とリンクされたグループを注出する。更に、前記注出されたグループのそれぞれのリンクテーブル中に、「花組＋ＦＣＸＸＸ１」が登録されているか否かを確認する。「花組＋ＦＣＸＸＸ１」が登録されているグループのメンバーについてのＴＶ電話帳頁が第１専用端末機２に送信される。

第１専用端末機２のタッチパネル画面７には、リンクされたグループのメンバーについての図７と同様なリンクＴＶ電話帳画面が表示される。第１専用端末機２の利用者は自分のグループのメンバーへの接続要求をしたときと同様な操作で、リンクされたグループのメンバーへの接続要求をタッチパネル画面７から送信する。例えば、「グループ名：月組、電話番号：０６−６１１−４４４４、愛称：月組、グループ番号：ＦＣＸＸＸ２」への接続要求を送信する。その一方、図８と同様な待ち受け画面をタッチパネル画面７に表示する。

サーバー１は、接続要求と共に受信した情報に基づいて、図１２に示すようなリンクされたグループのメンバーについての登録情報の中から前記接続要求されたメンバーを検索し、検索されたメンバ−のリンク情報の欄が「可」になっているか否かを確認する。「可」になっていれば、前記検索されたメンバーの端末機の現在のＩＰアドレスを捜し出し、第１専用端末機２と前記検索されたメンバーの端末機とを接続する。

例えば、図１２は、花組にリンクされた「グループ名：月組、グループ番号：ＦＣＸＸＸ２」のメンバーの登録情報である。このメンバー登録情報の中から「電話番号：０６−６１１−４４４４、愛称：月組」のメンバーを検索する。そして、この検索されたメンバ−のリンク情報の欄が「可」になっているか否かを確認する。「可」になっていれば、前記検索されたメンバーの端末機の現在のＩＰアドレスを捜し出し、第１専用端末機２と前記検索されたメンバーの端末機とを接続する。
