【0001】

また、該データ送受信装置23は、例えば、携帯電話機、PHS(Personal Handy−Phone System)電話機、無線LAN(Local Area Network)カード、DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication)装置等であり、情報センタ等との間でナビゲーション等に必要な情報の送受信を行うものである。
【0020】

Here, the program is a program for performing a process such as a route search, a program for performing a guidance display control required for route guidance, a voice output control required for voice guidance, and the like. The program includes a map drawing unit, a route search unit, a route guidance unit, a current position calculation unit, a guidance display control unit, and the like from a functional viewpoint. Be composed. Further, the data is data necessary for operating the program, data necessary for route guidance and map display. The data includes map data, intersection data, node data, road data, photograph data, registered point data, destination point data, guide road data, detailed destination data, destination reading data, telephone numbers required for route guidance. It consists of data, address data, etc., and contains data necessary for the navigation device and is stored in a corresponding file.

Next, road data in the navigation device having the above configuration will be described.
[0026]
2 is a diagram illustrating a data structure of road data of the navigation device according to the first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of a road according to the first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. It is a figure showing the data structure of the lane information corresponding to the example of composition of the road in a 1st embodiment of the invention.
[0027]
In the present embodiment, the guide road data stored in the
[0028]
As shown in FIG. 2B, the shape data has coordinate data including east longitude and north latitude for each node (node) belonging to each road. As shown in FIG. 2C, the guidance data includes an intersection name, caution data, road name data, an address and size of road name audio data, and an address and size of destination data. The caution data is data for calling a driver's attention at a railroad crossing other than an intersection, a tunnel, or the like. The road name data is data indicating information on expressways, national roads, prefectural roads, and other road types. Further, as shown in FIG. 2 (D), the destination data includes a destination road number, a destination name, an address and size of destination name voice data, destination direction data, and travel guidance data. As shown in FIG. 2 (E), the destination direction data is data indicating information such as invalid (do not use destination direction data), unnecessary (no guidance), straight ahead, right direction, diagonal right direction, etc. It is.
[0029]
Here, when the configuration of the road is as shown in FIG. 3, the lane information as the lane information included in the road attribute is as shown in FIG. In FIG. 3, road numbers (1) to (7) are assigned to the outward and return routes of the road. And the road number (1) has three lanes (that is, the number of approaching lanes is 3), the leftmost lane is "turn left and go straight", the central lane is "go straight", and the rightmost lane is It is "right turn only". For example, in the case of turning left from road number (1) and entering road number (2) (entering road number (1) → exit road number (2)), the guide driving lane in road number (1) is one. It is the left lane.
[0030]
In this case, as shown in FIG. 4, the data structure of the lane information includes the road number, the number of approach lanes, the number of additional lanes out of the number of approach lanes, and the combination of the approach road number and the exit road number. And travel lane information corresponding to the combination. Here, of the number of approach lanes, the number of added lanes is the number of roads that have been added along the way, such as a road dedicated to turning left and right before the intersection, and the driving lane information includes Which approach is possible to travel to the exit road number is stored for each approach lane.
[0031]
For example, when making a left turn from the road number (1) to the road number (2), only the leftmost lane among the approach lanes of the road number (1) can be turned left, and the center and rightmost lanes are Since it is not possible to make a left turn, the traveling lane information stores “OK”, “INHIBIT”, and “NO” from the left. Similarly, when going straight from the road number (1) and proceeding to the road number (3), the leftmost lane and the central lane among the approach lanes of the road number (1) can go straight, Since the right lane is a right turn lane and cannot go straight, the traveling lane information is stored as “OK”, “OK”, and “NO” from the left.
[0032]
By using the lane information having such a data structure, the navigation device according to the present embodiment, for example, searches for a route that turns left from road number (1) and enters road number (2). In addition, only the left turn arrow of the leftmost lane can be displayed on the
[0033]
From the viewpoint of functions, the navigation device according to the present embodiment includes a storage unit that stores lane information as lane information of a road, a display unit that displays the lane information, and a display control that causes the display unit to display lane information. Having means. The
[0034]
In the present embodiment, the lane information includes the road number, the number of approach lanes, the number of added lanes out of the number of approach lanes, the combination of the approach road number and the exit road number, and the traveling lane information corresponding to the combination. However, when it is displayed on the
[0035]
Here, the lane means a traffic zone divided by a white line, a yellow line, or the like drawn on the road. In general, the lane is often referred to as a lane. For example, a one-lane two-lane road is a road composed of two lanes each having an outbound route and a return route, and a right-turn-only lane is a right-turn-only lane. It is a lane. However, in general, the lines such as the white line and the yellow line are also often referred to as lanes. Therefore, in this embodiment, the lane is referred to as a lane in order to avoid misunderstanding.
[0036]
The guidance intersection is an intersection that needs to be guided, such as an intersection to be turned right or left on a route to a destination, an intersection with an increasing or decreasing number of lanes, or an intersection with an increasing or decreasing number of guidance lanes. The guide lane is a lane to be selected for traveling along the route. The passing intersection is an intersection other than the guidance intersection, and is an intersection that does not need to be guided as compared to the guidance intersection. In addition, which intersection is set as the guidance intersection and which intersection is set as the passing intersection can be arbitrarily set.
[0037]
The approach road at the intersection is a road that the vehicle travels when the vehicle enters the intersection among the roads connecting to the intersection (for example, when the intersection is a crossroad, four roads connecting to the intersection). The exit road is a road on which the vehicle travels when exiting the intersection among the roads connected to the intersection. In this case, as for the approach road and the exit road, only the road that matches the traveling direction of the vehicle, that is, only the outward road is considered, and the return road is not considered. The lane information of the intersection is lane information at a point where the approach road is connected to the intersection. For example, information such as which lane of the lane entering the intersection is a right-turn lane, which lane is a straight-ahead lane, etc. Information.
The exit lane information of the intersection is lane information at a point where the exit road is connected to the intersection, for example, information on the number of lanes exiting from the intersection. Further, the lane information before the guidance intersection is the lane information of the passing intersection and the guidance intersection existing before the guidance intersection. Further, the lane information after the guidance intersection is the exit lane information of the guidance intersection, the lane information of the passing intersection and the guidance intersection behind the guidance intersection.
[0038]
Next, a mode of providing the lane information will be described.
[0039]
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing a mode of adding lane information according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
[0040]
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5A and FIG. 5B, the lane information is provided in the up direction and the down direction for the link L connecting the intersection A and the intersection B, that is, , Respectively, for the outbound route and the return route.
[0041]
Here, the link is a unit constituting a road in the road data, and is usually divided at an intersection of three or more roads as a boundary. The intersection includes not only the intersection where the traffic light is installed but also the intersection where the traffic light is not installed. The boundaries at both ends of the link are referred to as nodes in the present embodiment. Thus, the node substantially corresponds to an intersection.
[0042]
In the example shown in FIG. 5A, the link L has a node Na and a node Nb at both ends, and the node Na and the node Nb correspond to the intersection A and the intersection B, respectively. The link L is provided with

[0047]
In the present embodiment, when a route is searched, a link row is formed as a row of links constituting the route. FIG. 6 schematically shows an array of link strings constituting the searched route. In this case, link numbers L1 to L6 are sequentially assigned to the links along the traveling direction of the vehicle. Then, the link sequence is formed as a table including link numbers L1 to L6 of the respective links constituting the link sequence, as shown in FIG. 7, for example. Also, as shown in FIG. 6, node numbers N0 to N6 are sequentially assigned to the nodes at both ends of each link along the traveling direction of the vehicle. In FIG. 6, since the route is schematically illustrated, the traveling direction of the route changes at the nodes N2 and N4. And, as described above, since each node corresponds to an intersection, it can be seen that the nodes N2 and N4 are guidance intersections as intersections to be turned right or left on the route.

[0068]
As described above, in the present embodiment, not only the lane information of the guidance intersection on the route but also the lane information after the guidance intersection is displayed. Therefore, the operator such as the driver of the vehicle can grasp the lane information after the guidance intersection in advance, and select the lane to travel based on the lane information after the guidance intersection when entering the guidance intersection. can do. Therefore, an appropriate lane can be selected without feeling uneasy or stress when approaching the guidance intersection.
[0069]
Further, in the present embodiment, the lane information of the guidance intersection, the exit lane information of the guidance intersection, the lane information of the passing intersection after the guidance intersection, the lane information of the guidance intersection after the guidance intersection, or the lane information of the guidance intersection Can be selected and displayed as appropriate. In this case, it is desirable to determine the priorities in advance. The priorities are, for example, in order from the highest, 1: lane information of a guidance intersection, 2: exit lane information of a guidance intersection, 3: lane information of a passing intersection before a guidance intersection, 4: passing after a guidance intersection. Lane information of the intersection, 5: lane information of the guidance intersection after the guidance intersection can be determined.
[0070]
Further, the exit lane information of the guidance intersection, the lane information of the passing intersection after the guidance intersection, and the lane information of the guidance intersection after the guidance intersection are displayed according to the distance from the guidance intersection. You may decide. For example, if the distance from the guidance intersection to the next guidance intersection is a predetermined value or more, the exit lane information of the guidance intersection or the lane information of the passing intersection after the guidance intersection is displayed. The lane information of the guidance intersection after is displayed.
[0071]
Furthermore, the lane information of the guidance intersection, the exit lane information of the guidance intersection, the lane information of the passing intersection after the guidance intersection, the lane information of the guidance intersection after the guidance intersection, and the lane information of the passing intersection before the guidance intersection are included. Which one of them is to be displayed may be determined based on the positional relationship between the current position of the vehicle and each intersection. For example, when the current position of the vehicle is in front of the guidance intersection, the lane information of the guidance intersection and the lane information of the passing intersection in front of the guidance intersection are displayed. Instead of displaying the lane information of the passing intersection in front of the intersection, instead of displaying the lane information of the exit intersection of the guidance intersection, the lane information of the passing intersection after the guidance intersection, and the lane information of the guidance intersection after the guidance intersection, Any of them may be displayed.
[0072]
Also, for example, when the current position of the vehicle is significantly before the guidance intersection, the lane information of the guidance intersection and the lane information of a plurality of passing intersections in front of the guidance intersection are displayed, and the current position of the vehicle advances and passes. Each time the vehicle passes through the intersection, the lane information of the passing intersection may be deleted. In this case, when the current position of the vehicle further advances and passes through all passing intersections in front of the guidance intersection, the displayed lane information becomes only the lane information of the guidance intersection. In addition to the information, it is desirable to display the exit lane information of the guidance intersection, the lane information of the passing intersection after the guidance intersection, the lane information of the guidance intersection after the guidance intersection, and the like.
