[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The conventional refreshing method and the nozzle wiping method in the ink jet printing apparatus have a problem that a sufficient space for moving the print head must be secured. In addition, when the number of nozzles increases, such as in a line method, the weight of the print head also increases. Therefore, a high torque is required for the motor for moving the print head, and there is a problem that the cost is high.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The above problem can be solved by providing a mechanism for moving the printing paper in the horizontal direction with respect to the transport direction, and refreshing the ink receiver by moving the printing paper in the horizontal direction. The ink receiver may be either a fixed type or a movable type.
[0005]
In addition, the above problem is solved by providing a mechanism for moving the printing paper in the horizontal direction with respect to the transport direction, and performing the nozzle wipe by moving the printing paper in the horizontal direction. The wipe of the nozzle is performed in a horizontal direction or a vertical direction with respect to the transport direction of the printing paper.
