本発明は、水田土壌や河川底土壌などに含まれる有害な重金属を捕捉するための網目袋に関する。

【従来の技術】
水田土壌や河川底土壌には有害な重金属を含有する場合がある。昨年の国の調査によれば、水田土壌の411カ所中33カ所の場所で0.4ppm〜1.0ppmのカドミウムが検出され、未だ8000haの水田土壌が汚染していると言われ、これら水田から収穫された米は廃棄処分か食料、肥料以外の利用とされ莫大な被害を被っている。

従来、この有害な重金属の除去には、キレートによる不溶化、土壌のガラス化、除去・置換などの方法がとられているが、これらの方法は膨大な費用がかかり過ぎるため、一般農家、市町村自治体では実施困難な場合が多い。
また、下記の特許文献1には、重金属を含む排水にタンニン含有樹木のチップ、木粉、樹皮等を添加する方法が開示されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記特許文献1の方法は、例えば水田土壌の有害な重金属をいかにして除去するかの具体的方法については解決されていない。
本発明は、上記課題を解決するものであって、水田土壌や河川底土壌などに含まれる有害な重金属を効果的に捕捉することができる重金属捕捉用網目袋を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そのために本発明の重金属捕捉用網目袋は、土壌の一部に埋設される網目袋と、該網目袋内に充填される樹皮解砕体とを備え、前記樹皮解砕体が重金属捕捉機能を有する樹皮を解砕したものであることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照しつつ説明する。図1は、本発明の重金属捕捉用網目袋の1実施形態を示す模式である。なお、本実施形態は、水田土壌に適用するものであるが、河川底土壌などにも適用可能である。

図1において、水田1の土壌2中に網目袋3の一部(1/3程度)を埋設する。網目袋3は、2重構造ネットにより切断されにくく、ラッセル編みにより破断箇所の拡大を防げるものとし、十分な耐候性、耐薬品性を保持する樹脂繊維材料からなっている。網目袋3の大きさは使用方法により異なるが、水田用には20リットル前後が作業性が良く、河川用には1〜3m3の容量とし、網目袋3に吊り紐5により吊りリング6を設けておく。

網目袋3内には、重金属捕捉機能のある樹皮を解砕した樹皮解砕体4を充填する。重金属捕捉機能のある樹皮としては、タンニン含有量の多い、モリシマアカシヤ、エゾヤナギなどが最適であるが、ヒバ、スギ、ヒノキ、カラマツであっても効果がある。樹皮解砕体4は、網目袋3の網目から漏れない程度で、最小の大きさに解砕する方が、表面積が大きく重金属の捕捉効果が高い。樹皮解砕体4には、粘土鉱物やゼオライト、活性炭、炭等を粉体として混入しておくと効果が高くなる。タンニンは水溶性であるため、この流出を防ぐ効果がある。

水田1の土壌2中に網目袋3を1/3程度埋設して放置しておくと、網目袋3内の樹皮解砕体4を通して土壌2中の水分が上がる際、重金属が樹皮解砕体4中に遊離し吸着される。網目袋3上部は水が毛管現象で頂部まで上がり、この気相部分で乾燥するため、土壌中の水分は長期にわたって徐々に樹皮解砕体4中を通過し、土壌中の重金属を取り除くことができる。

本発明の網目袋3をカドミウム1mg/リットルに調整した水溶液に入れ攪拌し、1週間放置した後のカドミウム濃度は、0.1mg/リットルにまで低下し捕捉効果が確認された。

【発明の効果】
以上の説明から明らかなように、本発明によれば、土壌の一部に埋設される網目袋と、該網目袋内に充填される樹皮解砕体とを備え、前記樹皮解砕体が重金属捕捉機能を有する樹皮を解砕したものであるため、水田土壌や河川底土壌などに含まれる有害な重金属を効果的に捕捉することができる。
