Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image communication device that receives an electronic mail including image information.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An image communication device such as an Internet facsimile device or a personal computer receives an electronic mail including image information. Such an image communication apparatus forms and discharges an image on a recording medium (for example, paper) using image information described or attached to a received e-mail, or transmits the image information to a predetermined transfer destination. (For example, a facsimile machine having a facsimile number described in the electronic mail) (in this case, facsimile transmission; hereinafter, referred to as facsimile transmission).
[0003]
A conventional image communication apparatus such as a facsimile apparatus with an e-mail function cannot transmit or receive an e-mail including image information of a large data size corresponding to a document of one page due to a limitation of a communication network or a mail server. An e-mail including image information of a small data size obtained by dividing the image information into a plurality of pieces is transmitted and received (for example, see Patent Document 1).
At this time, the image communication apparatus divides the image information for one page, receives all the e-mails transmitted in a plurality of mails, combines the image information included in each received e-mail, and synthesizes the image information for one page. Is output. Further, the image communication device outputs data relating to an unarrived e-mail among a plurality of e-mails.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, among divided image information obtained by dividing image information for a plurality of pages in page units, a divided image mail including one divided image information is received, and one or more divided image mails including other divided image information are received. No image communication apparatus is disclosed which performs print / transfer processing for all received divided image mails in a predetermined order (for example, in the order of pages of the original image information) when all of the received divided image mails are received.
Also, a divided image mail including one divided image information (hereinafter, referred to as one divided image mail) is received, and one or more divided image mails including other divided image information (hereinafter, referred to as remaining divided image mails). Is not received, that is, when there is an undelivered divided image mail, the image communication device that notifies the non-arrival of the divided image mail to a predetermined notification destination (for example, the transmission source of the divided image mail) Not disclosed.
[0006]
Further, the image communication device needs to store the already received divided image mail in, for example, a built-in storage unit from receiving one divided image mail to receiving all the remaining divided image mails. . For this reason, when the data size (or the total data size) of the received divided image mail exceeds the storage capacity of the storage unit, the image communication apparatus transmits a new divided image mail or an electronic mail including undivided image information. There has been a problem that a mail (hereinafter, referred to as a normal mail) cannot be received and stored in the storage unit.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and receives all divided image mails including divided image information obtained by dividing image information for a plurality of pages in page units, and then performs the processing on the divided image mails. An object of the present invention is to provide an image communication apparatus that can improve convenience by performing printing / transfer processing in a predetermined order.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an image communication which can improve the convenience when there is an unarrived divided image mail by notifying that there is an unarrived divided image mail when there is an unarrived divided image mail. It is to provide a device.
Still another object of the present invention is to perform printing / forwarding processing on a received divided image mail or to delete the divided image mail even when there is an unarrived divided image mail. It is an object of the present invention to provide an image communication apparatus which can secure the free space of the means and can further improve the convenience.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
An image communication apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention is an image communication apparatus for receiving a divided image mail including one piece of divided image information among divided image information obtained by dividing image information into a plurality of pieces of image information. When a divided image mail is received, a reception status determining unit that determines whether all the one or more divided image mails including other divided image information have been received, and when it is determined that all the divided image mails have been received Means for performing print / transfer processing for all received divided image mails in a predetermined order.
[0009]
According to the first aspect, a divided image mail including one piece of divided image information among a plurality of divided image information obtained by dividing image information for M pages (M is a natural number of M> 1) into a plurality of pieces. Receive. In this case, the divided image information does not include image information obtained by dividing one page of image information. That is, the divided image information is divided on a page basis, and includes image information of N pages (N is a natural number of 1 ≦ N <M) among the image information of M pages.
Further, each divided image mail includes divided data indicating which of the plurality of divided image information the divided image mail includes. The division data is, for example, a page number and the total number of pages.
The image communication device stores the received divided image mail in, for example, a built-in storage unit.
[0010]
The receiving status determination means determines whether all the remaining divided image mails have been received when one divided image mail has been received. At this time, for example, the reception status determination unit refers to the divided data of the divided image mail stored in the storage unit, and receives all the remaining divided image mails when the page numbers for all the pages are stored. It is determined that it has been done.
[0011]
When all of the remaining divided image mails have been received, the image communication apparatus performs print / transfer processing on all of the received divided image mails in a predetermined order. For example, as a printing process, a process of forming an image on a sheet and discharging the same using the divided image information included in all the received divided image mails in the order of page numbers is performed. As a transfer process, the divided image information is transmitted by facsimile using the page numbers in order, or the divided image information is converted into a JPEG file or HTML in the page numbers in order to another image communication apparatus (for example, as Web contents). (A web server) or a process of transmitting the divided image mail to another image communication apparatus in the order of reception.
[0012]
The image communication apparatus according to the second invention, when receiving a divided image mail including one piece of divided image information, performs a print / transfer process after receiving one or more divided image mails including other divided image information. Means for determining whether to perform the printing / transferring process irrespective of the reception status of the divided image mail, and determining whether to perform the printing / transferring process irrespective of the reception status. Means for performing a print / transfer process.
[0013]
According to the second aspect, when one divided image mail is received, the print / transfer processing is performed after all the remaining divided image mails are received (that is, the print / transfer process is performed after waiting until all the divided image mails are received). Transfer processing, hereinafter referred to as post-standby processing), or print / transfer processing is performed irrespective of the reception status of the remaining divided image mails (that is, print / transfer processing that does not wait until all the divided image mails are received. J).
[0014]
In this case, for example, if there is an undelivered divided image mail in the remaining divided image mails even after a predetermined time has elapsed after receiving one divided image mail, it is stored when the one divided image mail is received. When the free space of the means is equal to or less than a predetermined capacity, when the received divided image mail includes instruction information for performing the sequential processing, or when the user has previously instructed to perform the sequential processing. For example, it is determined that the sequential processing is performed.
In this case, the image communication apparatus performs the print / transfer process on the received divided image mail regardless of whether or not all the remaining divided image mails have been received. At this time, the order in which the print / transfer processing is performed is, for example, the order of reception, or the order of page numbers included in the already received divided image mail.
[0015]
In such an image communication apparatus, after the print / transfer processing is completed, the divided image mail stored in the storage unit is deleted, so that the storage unit can be used for a long time by the same divided image mail, or a new divided image mail can be used. It is possible to prevent the image mail from being unable to be stored and to efficiently use the storage unit. Further, the image communication apparatus performs a process according to the command information included in the received divided image mail or the command of the user.
As a transfer process for the received divided image mail, for example, when performing a facsimile transmission to a facsimile apparatus having a predetermined facsimile number, it is preferable to perform a post-standby process. At this time, since the complete image information including all the divided image information can be faxed continuously in the order of the page numbers, the image information in the random order can be faxed, or the destination facsimile apparatus can be repeatedly transmitted. It is possible to prevent intermittent fax transmission by calling.
[0016]
The image communication device according to a third aspect of the present invention is configured such that when the reception status determination unit determines that part or all of one or a plurality of divided image mails including other divided image information has not been received, the reception status determination unit has already received the one or more divided image mails. And a mail processing unit for processing the divided image mail.
[0017]
According to the third aspect, the reception status determining means determines whether or not all the remaining divided image mails have been received when one divided image mail has been received. When the page number is not stored, it is determined that part or all of the remaining divided image mail has not been received yet (the remaining divided image mail has not arrived). In this case, when a predetermined time has elapsed after receiving the oldest divided image mail among the already received divided image mails, or when the free space of the storage unit is equal to or less than the predetermined capacity. In some cases, the mail processing means processes the already received divided image mail.
For example, the mail processing means moves the divided image mail that has already been received and stored in the storage means inside the apparatus from the storage means to a storage means or a recording medium outside the apparatus, and adds a new divided image mail or The free space of the storage means for storing the normal mail is secured.
[0018]
Note that, in the case where instruction information for instructing to perform a transfer process regarding the divided image mail is included in the divided mail, the image communication device determines that the mail processing unit does not perform the transfer process of the already received divided image mail. , The divided image mail may be deleted. In this case, it is sufficient to notify the sender or the user of the image communication apparatus that there is an unarrived divided image mail, and it is not necessary to notify the transfer destination user.
[0019]
An image communication apparatus according to a fourth aspect is characterized in that the mail processing means is configured to delete the already received divided image mail.
[0020]
In the fourth aspect, since not all the divided image mails have been received, the mail processing means deletes the divided image mails already received and stored in the storage means, and replaces the new divided image mails or The free space of the storage means for storing the normal mail is secured, and unnecessary printing / transfer processing is not performed.
[0021]
An image communication apparatus according to a fifth aspect is characterized in that the mail processing means is configured to perform a print / transfer process for a divided image mail that has already been received.
[0022]
According to the fifth aspect, even if all the divided image mails have not been received, the mail processing means performs the print / transfer processing on the divided image mails already received and stored in the storage means. In this case, the order in which the print / transfer processing is performed is, for example, the order of the page numbers included in the divided image mail.
Further, when the divided image mail is deleted after the print / transfer process is completed, the mail processing unit secures a free space in the storage unit for storing the new divided image mail or the normal mail.
[0023]
The image communication device according to a sixth aspect of the present invention is the image communication device, wherein the reception status determination unit determines that the partial image mail has not been partially or entirely received including one or more divided image mails including other divided image information. And a notifying unit for notifying that part or all of the information has not been received.
[0024]
According to the sixth aspect, when one reception of the divided image mail is received, the reception status determination means determines whether or not all the remaining divided image mails have been received. When the page number is not stored, it is determined that part or all of the remaining divided image mail has not been received yet (the remaining divided image mail has not arrived). In this case, when a predetermined time has elapsed after receiving the oldest divided image mail among the divided image mails already received, or when the free space of the storage unit is equal to or less than the predetermined capacity. For example, the notifying unit notifies that the remaining divided image mail has not arrived.
For example, the mail processing means causes the display means provided in the image communication apparatus to display character information of a content notifying that the remaining divided image mail has not arrived. In this case, the image communication apparatus prompts the user of the image communication apparatus to pay attention to the non-arrival of the divided image mail.
[0025]
In the image communication apparatus provided with the mail processing means of the third invention or the fifth invention, when the mail processing means has performed the transfer processing relating to the divided image mail, the notification means at least transmits the remaining divided image mail to the transfer destination. Is desirably configured so as to notify that the user has not arrived.
In this case, since the image communication apparatus does not perform the transfer processing for all the divided image mails, the transfer destination apparatus can obtain only the divided image information corresponding to a part of the original image information. The user of the previous device can request, for example, the user of the image communication device or the user of the transmission source device to retransmit the remaining image information or complete image information by the notification from the image communication device. .
[0026]
An image communication apparatus according to a seventh aspect of the present invention is the image communication device, wherein the notifying means generates a notifying mail notifying that some or all of the divided image mail has not been received, and transmits the generated notifying mail to a predetermined notifying destination. Means for transmitting to
[0027]
According to the seventh aspect, the mail processing means creates, as the notification mail, an electronic mail including information notifying that the remaining divided image mail has not arrived, and transmits the generated notification mail to a predetermined notification. Send to destination. The predetermined notification destination may be a mail address preset in the apparatus (for example, a mail address of a mobile phone owned by a user of the image communication apparatus), or a source of the received divided image mail. Or a mail address described as a notification destination in the received divided image mail.
In this way, the image communication device urges the user corresponding to the predetermined notification destination to pay attention to the non-arrival of the divided image mail.
[0028]
An image communication apparatus according to an eighth aspect of the present invention is characterized in that the notifying means has a means for forming a notifying image notifying that some or all of the divided image mail has not been received on a recording medium and discharging the same. And
[0029]
In the eighth invention, the mail processing means forms an image notifying that the remaining divided image mail has not arrived as a notification image on a recording medium such as a sheet of paper or a plastic sheet, and the notification image is formed. The discharged recording medium is discharged.
In this way, the image communication device prompts the user of the image communication device to pay attention to the non-arrival of the divided image mail.

[0089]
Also, when performing print processing relating to a divided image mail, during the print processing relating to one divided image mail, when another divided image mail is received, it is determined whether to interrupt the print processing relating to the received other divided image mail. If it is determined and interrupted, after the printing process for the divided image mail being printed is completed, or after the printing process for the divided image mail being printed is temporarily suspended, the printing process for the other received divided image mail is performed. May be performed.
In this case, when the received other divided image mail includes instruction information for instructing to perform an interrupt, when it takes a long time to complete the printing process for the divided image mail being printed, or It is determined that the print process is to be interrupted, for example, when the print process for the divided image mail ends in a short time.
[0090]
Further, when the normal mail is received and the print / transfer process for the divided image mail is not started, the print / forward process for the normal mail may be preferentially performed.
Further, as the transfer processing, not only FAX transmission but also transfer processing using various protocols such as electronic mail (SMTP / POP), HTTP, or FTP may be performed.
[0091]
【The invention's effect】
According to the image communication apparatus of the present invention, when normal mail having a large data size cannot be transmitted / received due to a limitation of a communication line network or a mail server, a small data size including divided image information obtained by dividing image information in page units By transmitting and receiving the divided image mail, image information can be transmitted and received using electronic mail even if there are restrictions on the communication network or the mail server.
After receiving all the divided image mails, the image communication apparatus performs the print / transfer processing on the divided image mails in a predetermined order (performs post-standby processing). Accordingly, for example, the user does not need to manually rearrange the plurality of sheets on which images are formed in the order of page numbers. Further, not only printing such as forming an image on a sheet but also transfer such as facsimile transmission is possible. Also, the image communication apparatus of the present invention can further improve convenience because the apparatus can automatically perform the processing in a predetermined order.
[0092]
If it is determined whether to perform post-standby processing or to perform print / transfer processing (perform sequential processing) irrespective of the reception status of the remaining divided image mails, the same divided image is used when performing sequential processing. It is possible to prevent the storage means from being used for a long time by mail, or from being unable to store a new divided image mail or normal image mail due to insufficient free space.
In this way, the image communication apparatus of the present invention can perform the print / transfer process even when there is an unarrived divided image mail, and can use the storage means efficiently.
[0093]
Further, by performing post-standby processing or performing sequential processing according to the instruction information received by the apparatus, the free space of the storage means, and the like, the convenience can be further improved. Further, the command information includes command information included in the received divided image mail or command notification mail (that is, an e-mail including information relating to processing of the divided image mail), predetermined information regarding the received divided image mail (source or Command information corresponding to the data size, etc., or command information set by the user of the image communication apparatus.
[0094]
Also, when there is an unarrived divided image mail, by deleting the already received divided image mail, the image communication apparatus can secure the free space of the storage unit, It is possible to prevent a wasteful printing / transfer process for a divided image mail in which mails (divided image information) are not prepared and original image information cannot be completely restored.
Further, when there is an undelivered divided image mail, the image communication apparatus performs printing / forwarding processing on the already received divided image mail by performing printing / forwarding processing on the already received divided image mail. Can do it.
Furthermore, a plurality of mail processing means are provided, and the convenience is further improved by deleting the already received divided image mail or performing print / transfer processing in accordance with the command information received by the apparatus. can do.
[0095]
Further, when there is an unarrived divided image mail, an appropriate notification is transmitted by notifying that there is an unarrived divided image mail or by discharging the recording medium on which the notification image is formed. The user can be notified that there is an unarrived divided image mail, that is, that complete image information could not be obtained. In this case, for example, the user of the image communication device can be inquired of the user of the transmission source, and the user of the transmission source can be resent the divided image mail. The user can take appropriate action.
In addition, it is possible to further improve convenience by providing a plurality of notification means and transmitting a notification mail or discharging a recording medium on which a notification image is formed in accordance with command information received by the apparatus. it can.
[0096]
Furthermore, the notification destination included in the received divided image mail or the command notification mail, the notification destination corresponding to the predetermined information regarding the received divided image mail, or the notification destination set by the user of the image communication apparatus, etc. The present invention has an excellent effect, for example, by providing notification when there is a divided image mail of arrival, thereby improving convenience.
