Abstract
Description

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The vehicle engine control device disclosed in
[0006]
It should be noted that while the mobile phone is being used when the vehicle is stopped, whether the driver has erroneously started the vehicle is monitored by the monitoring means disclosed in
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and has an engine control apparatus for a vehicle that can appropriately set a restart timing of an engine in an automatic stop state according to a use state of a mobile phone by a driver. It is intended to provide.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to
[0009]
According to the above configuration, when the driver determines that the driver is using the mobile phone, the engine restart is prohibited regardless of whether the engine restart condition is satisfied. As a result, the engine is maintained in the automatic stop state, so that the occurrence of a situation in which the engine is restarted due to an erroneous operation of the driver while using the mobile phone is effectively prevented.
[0010]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle engine control device according to the first aspect, the portable use determining means determines that the driver has stopped at a side portion of the traveling road to use the mobile phone. In this case, the restart prohibiting means prohibits the restart of the engine regardless of the driving state of the vehicle.
[0011]
According to the above configuration, when it is determined by the portable use determining means that the driver has stopped on the side portion of the traveling road in order to use the mobile phone, it is determined whether the engine restart condition is satisfied. Since the restart of the engine is prohibited, it is possible to maintain the engine in an automatic stop state while ensuring the safety of the vehicle.
[0012]
The invention according to
[0013]
According to the above configuration, when the portable use determining means determines that the driver is using the mobile phone, the restart of the engine is prohibited even when the restart condition based on the driver's starting operation is satisfied. As a result, the engine is restarted due to a driver's erroneous operation while the mobile phone is being used. On the other hand, when the restart condition based on the cause other than the start operation is satisfied in the above state, for example, when the composition of the exhaust gas of the vehicle is likely to be particularly bad for the environment, or in order to restart the engine, When the required battery capacity is likely to drop below a predetermined value, the necessary restart of the engine is permitted.
[0014]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle engine control device according to any one of the first to third aspects, when the mobile use determining unit determines that the mobile phone is in use, The engine control means is provided with a condition correction means for correcting an automatic stop condition in a direction in which the engine is easily stopped.
[0015]
According to the above configuration, when the driver uses the mobile phone by the mobile use determination means, the automatic stop condition is corrected in the direction in which the automatic stop of the engine is easily performed. During use, the chance of the engine being automatically stopped is increased.
[0016]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle engine control apparatus according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, the portable use determining means determines whether or not the portable telephone has been restarted in a state where the restart of the engine is prohibited. If it is determined that the use has been completed, the engine control means is provided with condition correction means for correcting the restart condition in a direction in which the engine is easily restarted at this time.
[0017]
According to the above configuration, after it is determined that the driver is using the mobile phone by the mobile use determination unit and the restart of the engine is prohibited, and then it is determined that the use of the mobile phone has ended, At this point, the restart condition is corrected in such a direction that the engine can be easily restarted, so that the engine is restarted at an early stage and quick start-up is ensured.

As shown in FIG. 2, there are three types of automatic stop conditions for determining whether or not to automatically stop the engine: a normal mode, a relaxation mode, and a strict mode. The automatic stop conditions in the normal mode include, for example, first that the

On the other hand, when the shift lever position is out of the R (reverse) range, it is determined that the third condition is satisfied, and the elapsed time is longer than the second set time t2. If the sixth condition is determined to be satisfied when the time is longer than the first set time t1 that is set to a short time, and the specific position where the automatic stop is not performed is limited to a minimum necessary level such as a takeoff. Except that the fourth condition is not considered, it is set similarly to the automatic stop condition in the normal mode.

In addition, it was confirmed that the automatic stop condition in the strict mode is when the operation amount of the brake pedal detected by the

It should be noted that, as an automatic stop condition for determining whether or not to automatically stop the engine, a condition that the road surface gradient detected by the gradient detecting means including a G sensor or the like is less than a predetermined value may be added. Good. For example, when performing the above-described determination based on the automatic stop condition in the normal mode, it is an essential condition that the detected value of the road surface gradient is less than a first reference value set in advance, that is, the road surface gradient is not so large. The automatic stop control of the engine may be executed. Further, when making the determination based on the automatic stop condition in the strict mode, the detected value of the road surface gradient is less than a second reference value set to a value smaller than the first reference value, that is, the road surface gradient Is extremely small, and the automatic stop control of the engine is performed without considering the road surface gradient when performing the above-described determination based on the automatic stop condition of the relaxation mode. May be executed.

As shown in FIG. 3, there are three types of restart conditions for determining whether or not to restart the engine: a normal mode, a relaxation mode, and a strict mode. The restart conditions in the normal mode include, for example, first, when the
[0028]
Then, when at least one of these seven conditions is satisfied, it is determined that the engine restart condition has been satisfied, and control is performed to restart the stopped engine. Note that, among the restart conditions of the first to seventh items, the first to fourth conditions are based on the starting operation of the driver, and the fifth to seventh conditions are based on the starting of the driver. This is based on a cause other than the operation, that is, a situation on the vehicle side.
[0029]
On the other hand, the condition for restarting the relaxation mode is that the first condition is determined to be satisfied when the brake release speed detected by the

The three types of modes constituting the automatic stop condition and the restart condition are, for example, such that a mode corresponding to the state of the vehicle is automatically selected and used after the normal mode is set at the same time as the start of the engine. Has become. Note that a configuration may be adopted in which one mode is selected and used by a driver manually operating a mode changeover switch provided in the engine control device. Further, it is also possible to configure so that the mode can be switched between a manual selection state and an automatic selection state.

In addition, the condition correction means 9 determines whether the driver has stopped the vehicle on the side of the traveling road in order to use the mobile phone in response to the output signal of the mobile use determination means 2, and determines whether or not the engine has been stopped. The automatic stop condition is corrected so that the automatic stop is easily performed. For example, in the state where the automatic stop condition is set to the normal mode shown in FIG. 2, when the portable

On the other hand, if it is determined YES in the above step S16 and it is confirmed that the engine is in the automatic stop state and the driver has evacuated to the shoulder to use the mobile phone, the engine is restarted. The process returns without determining whether the condition is satisfied. As a result, the restart of the engine is prohibited and the automatic stop state is maintained.

When the preset automatic stop condition (see FIG. 2) is satisfied and it is confirmed that the vehicle is in the predetermined stop state, the engine is controlled by the automatic
[0048]
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, since the engine coolant temperature, the elapsed time after the restart, and the vehicle stop position are set as conditions for automatically stopping the engine, when the engine is not warmed up, The engine will not be able to be warmed up effectively due to the automatic stop, the engine will be stopped automatically frequently when driving on congested roads, etc. When the vehicle stops, adverse effects such as the automatic stop of the engine can be effectively prevented. In particular, in the above-described embodiment, the set time (t1 to t3) for determining whether or not the automatic stop of the engine is frequently repeated is determined by three types of the normal mode, the relaxation mode, and the strict mode. The set time (t1 to t3) is changed in accordance with the automatic stop prohibition condition, and the set time (t1 to t3) is changed in accordance with the shift lever position. There is an advantage that automatic stop control is possible.
[0049]
In addition, when the preset restart condition (see FIG. 3) is satisfied during the automatic stop of the engine and the driver's intention to start the vehicle is confirmed, the restart control provided in the engine control means 1 is performed. Since the engine is automatically restarted by the start control means 7, the vehicle can be started smoothly. In particular, under each restart condition shown in FIG. 3, when the negative pressure in the booster detected by the brake
