Abstract
Description
【0001】

また、この場合の硬化剤には、例えばMOCA(3,3’−ジクロロ−4,4’−ジアミノジフェニルメタン)が使用される。
【0023】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a raw material elastomer for a power transmission belt used for a bicycle, for example.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, chloroprene rubber or urethane rubber has been used as a material for a driving belt that requires low speed and high torque. Here, since urethane rubber has high rigidity and good abrasion resistance, its strength is higher than that of chloroprene rubber, and it is also excellent in tooth chipping durability. However, when urethane rubber is used, for example, as a bicycle belt, it is run around by a small-diameter pulley, so that the belt is largely bent and used. In such a case, since the urethane rubber belt has high rigidity, cracks are easily generated on the back surface of the belt, and there is a problem in durability.
[0003]
Here, in order to improve the durability against bending, it is conceivable to add, for example, a plasticizer to reduce its rigidity. However, when a plasticizer is added to urethane rubber, its strength is reduced. Also, since the plasticizer bleeds with use, there is a problem that the rigidity increases with the use of the belt.
[0004]
Also, conventionally, it has been known to use a urethane prepolymer composed of two components having different average molecular weights of polytetraethylene ether glycol in order to obtain a urethane elastomer having a high coefficient of friction without reducing strength and hardness. (For example,

Thereby, the obtained urethane elastomer has high durability.
[0009]
The durometer hardness is preferably 93 ° to 96 °. As a result, it is possible to obtain an elastomer suitable as a raw material of a driving belt having high durability against bending.
[0010]
The diisocyanate is, for example, toluene diisocyanate. Further, for example, the polyol is any of polycaprolactone diol, polycarbonate diol, and a mixture thereof.
The urethane belt according to the present invention is formed from the urethane elastomer described above.

[0019]
When the injection of the mixed urethane casting liquid X is completed, the mold is heated at a predetermined temperature T 2 (for example, 95 ° C.) for a certain time. As a result, the injected mixed urethane casting liquid X is cured to form a urethane elastomer, and a belt slab whose main body is formed of the urethane elastomer is formed in the mold. After the belt slab is taken out of the mold, it is secondarily cured and cut into a predetermined width to obtain the toothed belt 10 (see FIG. 1).
[0020]
A method for preparing the mixed urethane casting liquid X will be described. The mixed urethane casting liquid X is a mixed liquid from which a urethane elastomer can be obtained by curing. First, the first urethane prepolymer and the second urethane prepolymer are heated in advance for melting, and the curing agent is also heated and melted. The melted first and second urethane prepolymers are weighed and measured in a predetermined amount to obtain a mixed urethane prepolymer. The mixed urethane prepolymer is mixed with a black pigment and stirred for a certain period of time, followed by vacuum degassing. The mixed urethane prepolymer mixed with the black pigment and defoamed is further mixed with a curing agent that has been heated and melted, and mixed and stirred to obtain a mixed urethane casting liquid X.
[0021]
As described above, the mixed urethane prepolymer is obtained by mixing the first urethane prepolymer and the second urethane prepolymer. The second urethane prepolymer differs from the first urethane prepolymer in the isocyanate content (hereinafter referred to as NCO%). The first urethane prepolymer was synthesized with the first polyol and diisocyanate, while the second urethane prepolymer was synthesized with the second polyol and diisocyanate. The first and second polyols are each polyols having a certain molecular weight distribution. The first and second urethane prepolymers were produced by synthesizing respective polyols and diisocyanates before mixing. Here, diisocyanate is almost added to the terminal OH group of each polyol. The method for measuring NCO% conforms to JIS K7301.
[0022]
The first and second urethane prepolymers are preferably those obtained by reacting toluene diisocyanate (hereinafter referred to as TDI) with a polyol. As the polyol, for example, polycaprolactone diol (hereinafter, referred to as PCL), polycarbonate diol, or a mixture thereof is used. When the first and second urethane prepolymers obtained by reacting PCL and TDI are used, the NCO% is 5.8 to 6.0% and 4.2 to 4.4%, respectively. Preferably, there is. That is, it is desirable that the NCO% of the first and second urethane prepolymers differ by at least 1.4% or more. And the compounding weight ratio of the first urethane prepolymer and the second urethane prepolymer is preferably 25:75 to 75:25. Further, as the curing agent in this case, for example, MOCA (3,3′-dichloro-4,4′-diaminodiphenylmethane) is used.
[0023]
Hereinafter, the behavior due to the incorporation of the first and second urethane prepolymers will be described with reference to the distribution diagram of FIG. Here, the NCO% of the first and second urethane prepolymers is 5.8 to 6.0% and 4.2 to 4.4%, respectively. Further, the first and second urethane prepolymers are produced by reacting TDI and PCL, respectively, and the weight mixing ratio of the first and second urethane prepolymers is 50:50. Will be described.
[0024]
The first urethane prepolymer has an NCO% of 5.8 to 6.0%, and considering that TDI is completely added to both OH groups at both ends of PCL, the average of the first urethane prepolymer is The molecular weight is about 1400-1450. Therefore, the molecular weight distribution of the first urethane prepolymer is a bell-shaped distribution chart X having a peak at about 1400 to 1450.
[0025]
Assuming that the second urethane prepolymer has an NCO% of 4.2 to 4.4% and that TDI is completely added to both OH groups at both ends of PCL, the average of the second urethane prepolymer is The molecular weight is about 1900-2000. Therefore, the molecular weight distribution of the first urethane prepolymer is a bell-shaped distribution diagram Y having a peak at about 1900 to 2000.
[0026]
Therefore, the mixed urethane prepolymer obtained by mixing the first and second urethane prepolymers has a molecular weight distribution Z having a large content of 1400 to 2,000 in molecular weight. That is, the urethane elastomer obtained by curing the mixed urethane prepolymer has a very wide molecular weight distribution of PCL. Therefore, the physical properties thereof are greatly different from those of the urethane elastomer obtained from only the first or second urethane prepolymer.
[0027]
【Example】
Hereinafter, embodiments will be described in detail. Examples A to C in Table 1 show the components of the mixed urethane elastomer (the casting liquid). Although not shown in the table, the mixed urethane elastomer (cast liquid) also contains 2 parts of a black pigment or the like.
[0028]
[Table 1]
[0029]
Here, NCO% indicates the isocyanate content of the first and second urethane prepolymers. The first and second urethane prepolymers were obtained by reacting TDI and PCL, and PLACCEL EP1595 and PLACCEL EP1500 (trade names, manufactured by Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd.) were used. MOCA was used as a curing agent.
[0030]
Examples A to C differ in the compounding amounts of the first and second urethane prepolymers. In Example A, the compounding amount of the first urethane prepolymer was 75 parts by weight, whereas the compounding amount of the first urethane prepolymer was 75 parts by weight. The blending amount of the polymer is 25 parts by weight. In Example B, the amount of the first urethane prepolymer was 50 parts by weight, whereas the amount of the second urethane prepolymer was 50 parts by weight. In Example C, the amount of the first urethane prepolymer was 25 parts by weight, while the amount of the second urethane prepolymer was 75 parts by weight. In the toothed belts of Comparative Examples 1 and 3 to 6, the elastomer of the main body member is formed only from the first urethane prepolymer, and in Comparative Example 2, the elastomer is formed only from the second urethane prepolymer. In Comparative Examples 3 to 6, DOP (di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate), which is a plasticizer, was blended in an amount of 10, 20, 30, and 40 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the first urethane prepolymer. Have been.
[0031]
[Evaluation of urethane elastomer and toothed belt]
Table 2 shows the evaluation results using test pieces of the urethane elastomer sheet produced from the mixed urethane prepolymer and the comparative example elastomer sheet in this example. Here, hardness, modulus test, tensile strength, elongation and tear strength were performed. Here, the hardness shown in the table is a durometer hardness, and M100% to M300% are the results of a modulus test, and indicate the stress when an elongation of 100, 200, and 300% is given, respectively. All tests were performed according to JIS K6250.
[0032]
[Table 2]
[0033]
Tables 3 and 4 show the results of the bending test of the toothed belts formed from this example and the comparative example, and FIG. 4 shows the results of the running test. Table 3 shows the results of the bending test under the conditions of P20-P20, and Table 4 shows the results of the bending test under the conditions of P20-P69. Here, for example, P20-P20 indicates that the toothed belt is wound around two pulleys having 20 and 20 teeth. The bending test was performed by reciprocating the toothed belt 3.4 × 10 6 times between two pulleys. The running test was carried out by using a toothed belt around two pulleys having 20 and 69 teeth on the front and rear wheels of a 14-inch bicycle.
[0034]
[Table 3]
[0035]
[Table 4]
[0036]
[Evaluation results of urethane elastomer and toothed belt]
As shown in Tables 3 and 4, all of the toothed belts of Comparative Example 1 had cracks on the back surface in the bending test, and the residual strength ratio was only about 69% in the case of P20-P69, for example. Did not. This is considered to be because the hardness of the elastomer of the main body member of the toothed belt of Comparative Example 1 was as high as 97 ° as shown in Table 2.
[0037]
As shown in Tables 3 and 4, in the toothed belt of Comparative Example 2, no crack was generated on the back surface of the belt in the bending test, and the residual ratio of strength was 88% in the case of P20 to P69, which was 88%. Obtained. However, as shown in FIG. 4, in the running test, when the pedaling force was about 75 kgf, the running distance did not reach 2,000 km, and belt abnormalities such as tooth missing occurred. That is, although the toothed belt of Comparative Example 2 has good durability against bending, there is a problem in the strength of the belt itself, for example, the durability of missing teeth.
[0038]
As shown in Tables 3 and 4, for the toothed belts of Examples A to C, in the bending test, for example, in Examples A and B, cracks did not occur on the back surface of the belt, and the residual strength ratio was also, for example, P20 to P69. In the case of, good results of 89 and 87% were obtained, respectively. As shown in FIG. 4, in the running test, no belt abnormality occurred up to 3000 km when the pedaling force was about 75 kgf in Example B. This is because, as shown in Table 2, the toothed belts of Examples A to C have a hardness of 93 to 96 ° as shown in Table 2, and can only withstand the bending even if the belt is wound in a large bending state. This is because it is considered to have flexibility. The reason why the running distance was longer in the running test than in Comparative Example 2 is that the stress, tensile strength, and tear strength in the modulus test were strengthened as compared with Comparative Example 2.
[0039]
In Comparative Examples 3 to 6, plasticizers were added for the purpose of lowering the hardness than the elastomer of the main body member of the toothed belt of Comparative Example 1 and increasing the durability against bending.
[0040]
Comparing Example A with Comparative Example 3, despite the two elastomers having the same hardness, Example A has higher stress, tensile strength and tear strength in the modulus test than Comparative Example 3. That is, it can be said that Example A has a higher elastomer strength than the Comparative Example. The same can be said for the case where Example B is compared with Comparative Example 4. Example C also has, for example, a higher tensile strength than Examples 5 and 6, which have the same hardness.
[0041]
As described above, by using a urethane elastomer cured and mixed with a mixture of a mixture of the first and second polyols and diisocyanate added to the belt body member with diisocyanate, the belt strength is high, A toothed belt durable against bending could be obtained.
[0042]
Here, the reason why a belt having durability against bending could be obtained was that the hardness could be adjusted by mixing the first and second urethane prepolymers. The adjustment of the hardness can be arbitrarily changed by changing the mixing ratio of the first and second urethane prepolymers.
[0043]
The urethane prepolymer having a high belt strength was obtained by mixing the first and second urethane prepolymers as shown in FIG. 3 to obtain a prepolymer having a wide molecular weight distribution (distribution diagram Z). ) Is considered to be an effect of the creation. This is because, for example, while the tensile strength of the elastomer formed from the first and second urethane prepolymers alone in the examples was 45.9 and 57.3 MPa, the first and second urethane prepolymers were different. It is apparent from the fact that the tensile strength of the elastomer formed from the mixed urethane prepolymer of the polymer was 61.3 to 69.1 MPa.
[0044]
Furthermore, in this embodiment, since the prepolymer in which diisocyanate is polyadded to the polyol is mixed, the diisocyanate can be surely polyadded to the OH group of the polyol.
[0045]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the present invention, a urethane elastomer and a urethane belt having high strength and high durability against bending can be easily obtained.
