本発明は、エアクリーナに関し、特にエアインテイク側におけるプリクリーナ機構を簡易に装備できる構造に関する。

【従来の技術】
多塵地向けの車両用エアクリーナの仕様の一つとして、プリクリーナを装備したものがある。
プリクリーナは、エアクリーナの吸気パイプ先端または中間部に取付けられるものであって、筒状内部に設けられたサイクロン翼により吸気した空気にサイクロン流を生じさせ、この遠心効果により、ダストあるいはミストなどの比重の重い異物を異物排出口に導くことによってエアクリーナの濾過機能の負荷を低減するものである(例えば、特許文献1を参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
一般地向けのエアクリーナの吸気側は通常の吸気パイプとしているため、多塵地向け仕様に変更するには、プリクリーナを別途付加するか、あるいは通常の吸気パイプをプリクリーナに交換しなければならず、部品数が増し、また仕様変更に応じた交換作業が面倒となっていた。

本発明は、以上の課題を解決するものであり、その目的は内部機構の付加の有無に応じてプリクリーナとエアインテイク用パイプとに簡単に仕様変更でき、部品数の削減を図ったエアクリーナを提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記目的を達成するため、本発明は、半割状をした筒部と、その下部に一体に成形され、かつ筒部に連通する集塵室とを備え、二つあわせによりエアインテイク用パイプとなるパイプ本体からなり、前記筒部内側には、前記集塵室に連通してプリクリーナ機能を付加するためのサイクロン翼が取付可能となっているエアインテイク用パイプを備えたことを特徴とする。従って、本発明では、サイクロン翼の付加の有無により、多塵地向けの仕様と、一般地向きの仕様に簡単に変更できる。サイクロン翼を取り付けない場合には、集塵室がレゾネータを兼用することになる。

また、本発明では、前記サイクロン翼の後流側において前記筒部の内側にはサイクロン流を外周側と中心部側に区画する内筒を設けたことにより、プリクリーナ機能を付加した場合における除塵効率が増すものとなる。

さらに、本発明では、前記筒部の後部側下部には、前記集塵室と隔壁を隔てて一体成形され、かつ筒部にチューニングパイプ部を介して連通した消音室を設けたことにより、吸気消音機能も付加できる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の好ましい実施の形態につき、添付図面を参照して詳細に説明する。図1,2は本発明にかかるプリクリーナを示すものである。

このプリクリーナ1は、合成樹脂成形体からなるもので、半割状をした筒部2と、筒部2の下部前部側に一体成形された同じく半割状の集塵室3と、集塵室3の後部に隔壁を介して一体に成形された同じく半割状の消音室4とを備え、これらを図2に示すように二つあわせで超音波溶着などの溶着手段により接合することでエアインテイク用のパイプ本体5が完成する。

筒部2は、その空気取入れ口から漸次大径化する前筒部2aと、その後部に連続し、かつ後述するエアクリーナケーシングの吸気側に接続する小径筒部2bとからなっており、前筒部2aの後端側下部と前記集塵室3とを連通孔部6を介して連通させている。また小径筒部2bの後部下面と前記消音室4とはチューニングパイプ部7を介して連通している。

前筒部2aの内部にはサイクロン翼8が脱着可能に嵌合されている。また小径筒部2bの先端側には内筒9が嵌合され、前筒部2a側に突出している。これらは、前筒部2aおよび小径筒部2bの内側に形成された凹凸状の係止構造によってそれぞれの嵌合位置に固定されている。

サイクロン翼8は、図2の一部に示すように、円筒形ダクト8aの内部に4枚の固定翼8bおよびその中心にプロペラボス8cを一体形成したものであって、前筒部2aから取入れられた吸気は固定翼8bを通過することにより、そのピッチに応じてサイクロン流を生じ、吸気中に含まれるダストおよびミストをその遠心力により、前筒部2aの内壁側に吹飛ばし、これらは連通孔部6を通じて集塵室3側に集積される。

以上の構成のプリクリーナ1は、図3(a)に示すように、一体成形された筒部2、集塵室3、消音室4からなるパイプ本体5を共用部品とし、多塵地域向けとしてサイクロン翼8および、内筒9を付加することによって、プリクリーナ1としてエアクリーナ11のエアインテイク側に接続することができる。

また、一般地域向けとしては、同図(b)に示すように、パイプ本体5にサイクロン翼6および内筒7を付加しない単なる消音機能(レゾネータ)付吸気パイプ1’としてエアクリーナ11のエアインテイク側に接続できる。

図4は本発明の第二実施形態を示す。図におけるプリクリーナ1の本体5は、消音室4およびチューニングパイプ部7を省略しているほかは、第一実施形態とほぼ同じであり、さらに機構の簡素化を図ることができる。また、本実施形態においても、一般地域向けとしてサイクロン翼8および内筒9を付加しない単なる吸気パイプとしてエアクリーナのエアインテイク側に接続できる。

なお、各実施形態では、内筒9を脱着式としたが、内筒9の装着により特に吸気抵抗が高まるわけではないので、筒部2の内側に一体に成形するか、あるいは仕様変更に関わらず固定式とすることも可能である。

以上の説明により明らかなように、本発明によるエアクリーナにあっては、内部機構の付加の有無に応じて簡単にプリクリーナと吸気パイプとに仕様変更でき、部品数の削減を図ることができる。
