Abstract

- 連続する永続的メモリのブロックを管理する方法であって、

複数のブロックに対する、少なくとも1コード・バイトを含むヘッダを永続的記憶域内に保持するステップと、
第2のブロックに対して、第2のブロックがもはや第1のブロックの一部でないことを示す少なくとも1コード・バイトをセットし、前記主メモリ内の前記第1のポインタを更新することにより、前記第1のブロックから前記第2のブロックを割当てるステップと
を含む方法。 - ブロックbを前記第1のブロックに追加するステップを含み、前記追加ステップが、
bに対応するコード・バイトを、bが前記第1のブロックの一部であることを示すように変更するステップと、
前記主メモリ内の前記第1のポインタを更新するステップと
を含む、請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも1コード・バイトが、前記第2のブロックがもはや前記第1のブロックの一部でないことを示す以外に、他の機能にも作用する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記主メモリ内の前記第1のポインタの値にもとづき、前記永続的メモリ内の第2のポインタを周期的に更新するステップを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- システム障害に応答して、前記少なくとも1コード・バイトを調査することにより、前記第1及び第2のポインタを更新するステップを含む、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記ヘッダが単一ブロック書込みを用いて初期化される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 連続する永続的メモリのブロックを管理する方法を実行する、マシンにより実行可能な命令のプログラムを有する、マシンにより読取り可能なプログラム記憶装置であって、前記方法が、
メモリの第1のブロック内の最初のフリー・バイトを決定する第1のポインタを主メモリ内に保持するステップと、
複数のブロックに対する、少なくとも1コード・バイトを含むヘッダを永続的記憶域内に保持するステップと、
第2のブロックに対して、第2のブロックがもはや第1のブロックの一部でないことを示す少なくとも1コード・バイトをセットし、前記主メモリ内の前記第1のポインタを更新することにより、前記第1のブロックから前記第2のブロックを割当てるステップと
を含むプログラム記憶装置 - ブロックbを前記第1のブロックに追加するステップを含み、前記追加ステップが、
bに対応するコード・バイトを、bが前記第1のブロックの一部であることを示すように変更するステップと、
前記主メモリ内の前記第1のポインタを更新するステップと
を含む、請求項7記載のプログラム記憶装置。 - 前記少なくとも1コード・バイトが、前記第2のブロックがもはや前記第1のブロックの一部でないことを示す以外に、他の機能にも作用する、請求項7記載のプログラム記憶装置。
- 前記主メモリ内の前記第1のポインタの値にもとづき、前記永続的メモリ内の第2のポインタを周期的に更新するステップを含む、請求項7記載のプログラム記憶装置。
- システム障害に応答して、前記少なくとも1コード・バイトを調査することにより、前記第1及び第2のポインタを更新するステップを含む、請求項10記載のプログラム記憶装置。
- 前記ヘッダが単一ブロック書込みを用いて初期化される、請求項7記載のプログラム記憶装置。
- 永久記憶域内の隣接するフリー・ブロックを合体するステップであって、
ブロックのサイズ及び割当て状況を示すヘッダを、各ブロックに対して保持するステップと、
ヘッダ情報を調査して、隣接フリー・ブロックを結合することにより、フリー・ブロックを合体するステップと、
達成される合体のレベルを示す情報を前記永久記憶域内に周期的に記憶するステップと
からなるフリー・ブロックを合体するステップを含む請求項1の方法。 - 請求項13記載の方法を実行する、マシンにより実行可能な命令のプログラムを有する、マシンにより読取り可能なプログラム記憶装置。
- 合体の間のシステム障害に応答して、前記永久記憶域内の情報を読出し、システム障害の前に達成された合体のレベルを決定するステップと、
前記永久記憶域内の情報にもとづき、ある時点で合体を再開するステップと
を前記フリー・ブロックを合体するステップに含む、請求項13記載の方法。 - 請求項15記載の方法を実行する、マシンにより実行可能な命令のプログラムを有する、マシンにより読取り可能なプログラム記憶装置。
