<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone using a bone conduction speaker which causes no annoyance because a bone conduction speaker is installed without projecting from the phone main body case, which provides no trouble in adopting a foldable configuration and which can be used even under high noise. <P>SOLUTION: This bone conduction speaker 4 is incorporated in a main body housing 1 by fixing the diaphragm 8 of the bone conduction speaker 4 directly to an upper part on an inner face of the front side of the main body housing 1. 本発明は、骨伝導スピーカーを用いた携帯電話機に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近時の携帯電話の普及にはめざましいものがあり、多くの人が所持するに至っている。その普及と共に、携帯電話機の小型化、高性能化も進んできており、それに伴ない、使用されるスピーカユニットについても超小型化、薄型化の要請が高まっている。

携帯電話機のスピーカーとしては、一般に音圧型スピーカーが用いられている。音圧型スピーカーは電話機本体ケース上部に配備され、本体ケースの正面側上部に設けた放音孔より放音され、放音孔を耳孔に当てがって聴取する。この音圧型スピーカーの場合、振動板はコーン形状であって、小型化、薄型化するにも自ずと限界がある。

最近、上記音圧型スピーカーの代わりに、骨を振動させることによって音声を伝達させる骨伝導スピーカーを採用した携帯電話機が考えられている。図3及び図4は、この骨伝導スピーカーを用いた携帯電話機の構成例を示すものである。

骨伝導スピーカー21は、ケース22内に、ヨーク23とマグネット24とボイスコイル25とから成る振動系と、ヨーク23に固定される振動板26とを、振動板26をケース22の内側面に固定することによって収納して構成される。骨伝導スピーカー21は、ハウジング31の正面側上部に、ハウリング対策用のクッション材32を介して突出状態に取り付けられる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記従来の骨伝導スピーカーを用いた携帯電話機の場合、骨伝導スピーカーが突出状態に取り付けられるために邪魔になり、特に、折畳み式の構成とするには適さない。
そこで本発明は、骨伝導スピーカーが電話機本体ケースから突出することなく装備されるために骨伝導スピーカーが邪魔にならず、折畳み式の構成とするのに支障がなく、高騒音下での使用も可能な骨伝導スピーカーを用いた携帯電話機を提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するための本発明に係る骨伝導スピーカーを用いた携帯電話機は、骨伝導スピーカーの振動板を、本体ハウジングの前面側内側面上部に直接固定することによって前記骨伝導スピーカーを前記本体ハウジングに組み込んだことを特徴とする。前記本体ハウジングは、折畳み式とすることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の実施の形態を添付図面に依拠して説明する。図1は、本発明に係る骨伝導スピーカーを備えた携帯電話機の要部斜視図であり、図2は、その要部の部分切截図である。

図中1は本体ハウジングで、従来のものと同様に、アンテナ2、画面3及び操作キー(図示していない)を配備する。本体ハウジング1内の正面側上部に、骨伝導スピーカー4が設置される。この場合、従来のもののように、スピーカー設置部に放音孔を設ける必要はない。

骨伝導スピーカー4は、円形のヨーク5と、ヨーク5の周壁内面に沿って配置されるマグネット6と、ヨーク5のセンターポールに巻装されるボイスコイル7と、ヨーク5の開放側端面に定着される振動板8とから成る。骨伝導スピーカー4は、振動板8を直接本体ハウジング1の内側面に固定することによって、本体ハウジング1の上部に設置される。

このように、骨伝導スピーカー4が本体ハウジング1の内面に直接取り付けられるため、本体ハウジング1自体がスピーカーの振動板として動作する。従って、健聴者が使用した場合には音響スピーカーとして聞くことができ、また、本体ハウジング1の全体から振動を伝達することが可能となるため、使用者は骨導音と空気振動音とを同時に聞くことになる。従って、健聴者の場合には、より自然な音質で聞くことができ、聴力が落ちた者の使用も可能になる。また、本体ハウジング1の全体が振動板となるために、一般の音圧型スピーカーと違い、放音孔(小さな孔)と耳孔を一致させる必要はない。

上記のように骨伝導スピーカー4を本体ハウジング1の内面に直接取り付けた場合は、ハウリングの問題が懸念される。しかし、最近の携帯電話機はデジタル化されており、また、高性能のハウリングキャンセラーが組み込まれるために、ハウリング問題は解消される。殊に、折畳み式の電話機の場合は、構造上スピーカー組み込み部とマイクロホン組み込み部とが分離されているため、一層ハウリングの問題が起こりにくい。

本発明に係る携帯電話機の場合は、特に、骨伝導スピーカー4を用いているために、高騒音下においても、耳栓をする等して耳を塞ぐことにより、騒音の影響を余り受けずに通話することが可能となる。

本発明は上述した通りであるので、骨伝導スピーカーがハウジングの内側に組み込まれた突出部のないすっきりとしたデザインとすることができ、頭部の耳周辺部と本体ハウジングとの各当接部位に制限がなく使用態様に自由度があり、ハウリングの問題もなく、健聴者が使用しても、聴覚障害者が使用しても、違和感なく使用することができる効果がある。
