<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for providing travel information utilizing a weather database which can provide an itinerary or travel plan giving high satisfaction to a customer or a consumer by utilizing past weather information and weather forecast. <P>SOLUTION: When a destination of a travel and a scheduled date of the travel are inputted from a user terminal 10, the weather forecast and past weather data of the destination on the scheduled date of the travel are displayed on the user terminal 10, and when the destination of the travel is inputted, the weather forecast and past weather data of the destination in a prescribed period are displayed. 【従来の技術】
旅行およびその満足度は天候に左右されることが多く、旅行の日程や企画を決める際に重要な情報であるが、過去の気象情報や気象予報は調査することが大変煩雑で多くの時間と労力を必要とする。また、最近は気象予報の精度が高くなっており、短期・中期・長期も含めて狭い地域と時間帯の気象予報も可能になっている。しかしながら、これまで、より容易に満足の高い旅行の日程や企画を行なうためということを観点として、過去の気象情報や気象予報をまとめたウェブサイトは存在しなかった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、特許文献１としての特開２００１−２８２８９３号公報に開示された発明は、気象情報を考慮して旅行目的地を決定する手順の記載がない。顧客および消費者は、旅行日程や計画を立てようとする場合に、できるだけ天候の良い場所、候補が挙がっているならば候補地の中から最も天候の良い場所を選択したいと思っている人も多い。しかも最近では長期休暇を各自で設定できる会社も多数あり、旅行先のできるだけ天候の良い時期に旅行日程を設定したいと思っている人も多い。天候に恵まれた旅行や観光は顧客満足の向上につながり、リピーターの確保の効果ももたらす。しかしながら、旅行日程や計画を立てようと考えている人にとってみれば、天候を考慮することの煩雑さやかかる手間と労力は莫大なものとなる。

本発明は上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、過去の気象情報、天気予報を利用して顧客や消費者に満足度の高い旅行日程や企画を提供することができる気象データベースを利用した旅行情報提供方法、及び旅行情報提供装置を提供することを目的とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、添付図面を参照しながら本発明の気象データベースを利用した旅行情報提供方法、及び旅行情報提供装置に係る実施の形態を詳細に説明する。図１〜図８を参照すると本発明の気象データベースを利用した旅行情報提供方法、及び旅行情報提供装置に係る実施の形態が示されている。

まず、図１を参照しながら本実施形態の構成を説明する。図１に示されるように本実施形態は、ユーザ端末１０と、旅行業者センタ２０と、データベース装置３０と、これらを相互に接続するインターネット等の通信ネットワーク１００とから構成される。

（５）情報閲覧や照会前に、顧客および消費者に利用者登録を義務付けることも可能である。
（６）顧客および消費者にこのウェブサイト利用料・情報閲覧料を請求することも可能である。
（７）旅行業者また他の者が、このウェブサイトを開設し、旅行業者に登録料もしくは広告料を請求できる。
（８）ウェブサイトに関わらず、紙・電話等その他媒体でも利用可能である。
