Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a partial pressure-sensitive adhesive label and a device for manufacturing the same, and more particularly to a partial pressure-sensitive adhesive label that has been subjected to measures for preventing wrinkles in a manufacturing process and a device for manufacturing the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, partial adhesive labels in which an adhesive is applied to a part of the back surface of a label substrate have been widely used as product labels, stationery, and the like. The method of manufacturing such a partial adhesive label includes a method of applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive to a base paper to produce a partial adhesive sheet, performing printing and punching to produce a partial adhesive label, and using an already manufactured partial adhesive sheet. Then, printing or punching to produce a partially adhesive label, using an existing adhesive sheet, and performing a so-called "glue killing" by covering a part of the adhesive layer with adhesive ink A method of manufacturing a partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet having a non-adhesive portion formed thereon and performing printing or punching to produce a partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is known (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0003]
However, wrinkles have been a problem in the manufacturing process of the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive label. For example, in the production of the partial adhesive label by the above-mentioned “glue killing”, first, the roll-shaped adhesive sheet 2 attached to the unwinding device 1 of the manufacturing apparatus 70 shown in FIG. 4 and a release liner 5. The separated pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet body 4 is partially printed on a predetermined portion of the surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 7 provided on the back surface of the base material 6 with a printing unit 9 using a transparent or white UV ink. After forming the non-adhesive portion 8 by “glue killing” which covers and hardens the printing ink with the UV dryer 10 to reduce the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer 7, and forms the partial adhesive sheet main body 20, the nip roller At 11, the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 12 is obtained by pasting again to the release liner 5. Further, the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 12 thus obtained is sent to a printing process, and after performing predetermined printing by a printing unit 13 as necessary, the printing ink is cured by a UV dryer 14 and further flattened. After removing the label using a die 15 or the like and adjusting the sheet width using a slitter 16, unnecessary portions are removed by a so-called scrap lifting device 17, and a winding device 18 winds up the roll-shaped partial adhesive label 19.
[0004]
However, in the above manufacturing process, in particular, when "glue killing" is performed in a direction orthogonal to the flow direction of the partial adhesive sheet 12, or "glue killing" is performed partially or continuously at the center. For example, when the partial adhesive sheet main body 20 that has been subjected to “glue killing” is again bonded to the peeling backing sheet 5, there is no escape for the air 21 existing between the adhesive sheet main body 4 and the peeling backing sheet 5. As shown in FIG. 8, the air 21 may be trapped. In this state, when the conveyance direction is sharply turned by the guide roller 22 or the like, as shown in FIG. 9, the non-adhesive portion 8 caused by “glue killing” causes a shift between the partial adhesive sheet main body 20 and the peeling backing sheet 5. As a result, there is a problem that a part of the partial adhesive sheet main body 20 on the guide roller 22 side swells and is caught between the guide roller 22 and the peeling backing sheet 5 to generate wrinkles 24. When an ultraviolet curable ink is used as the printing ink, the heat generated from the UV drier 14 used for curing the ink embraces between the partial adhesive sheet main body 20 and the release liner 5. Since the air is heated and expanded, there is a problem that the generation of wrinkles 24 is further promoted. In particular, the wrinkles 24 tended to be particularly strong in the partial adhesive sheet 12 having a large area of “glue killing”.
[0005]
The generation of wrinkles due to the embracing of air is not limited to the above-described manufacturing process. Generally, the transport direction of the partial adhesive sheet 12 or the partial adhesive label 19 is sharply turned by a guide roller or the like. This is more or less a problem in an apparatus having a means or an apparatus having means for transporting a sheet by sandwiching the sheet from both sides by a nip roller or the like. For example, a bar code printer using a thermal transfer printing method or a thermal printing method is designed to print by sandwiching a printing paper between a platen roller and a thermal head. Wrinkles sometimes occurred.

[0013]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Next, a first embodiment of the partial adhesive label according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. However, the same portions as those in FIG. 7 to FIG. 9 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0014]
FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view showing a configuration example of the partial adhesive label 30, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line II-II, and FIG. 3 is a schematic side view showing a configuration of the manufacturing apparatus 40.
[0015]
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the partial adhesive label 30 is non-adhesive by so-called “glue killing”, which covers the surface of the adhesive layer 7 provided on the back surface of the substrate 6 with a UV-curable OP varnish or the like. The partial adhesive label body 32 on which the portion 8 is formed and the peeling backing sheet 34 on which a through-hole for venting air by the perforations 33 are formed, and the adhesive portion as an exposed portion of the adhesive layer 7 provided on the back surface of the base material 6 31 is a temporary attachment. Further, on the surface of the partial adhesive label body 32, a display 35 such as printing by a printing machine or printing of characters and bar codes by a printer is possible.
[0016]
Here, as the printing ink used for "glue killing", in addition to the OP varnish, a medium, a printing ink of each color, and a mixture thereof can be used as long as it reduces the adhesive force of the adhesive layer 7. In addition, not only UV inks but also general printing inks suitable for printing methods can be used.
[0017]
Further, the non-adhesive portion 8 due to “glue killing” does not necessarily need to be formed so as to cover the entire area where “glue killing” is performed. It is also possible to perform "glue killing".
[0018]
The air vent penetrating portion can be formed by various methods as long as it can promptly expel the discharge of the air 21 taken in between the partial adhesive label main body 31 and the release liner 34. Besides, slits and punch holes can be selected.
[0019]
Next, a method of manufacturing the partial adhesive label 30 having such a configuration will be described with reference to FIG. As shown in FIG. 3, the roll-shaped adhesive sheet 2 attached to the unwinding device 1 of the manufacturing apparatus 40 is unwound and separated into the adhesive sheet main body 4 and the peeling mount 5 by the nip roller 3. The separated pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet main body 4 is coated with a predetermined portion of the surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 7 formed on the back surface of the base material 6 by the printing unit 9 with an OP varnish or the like. The non-adhesive portion 8 is formed by “glue killing” to obtain the partial adhesive sheet main body 20 in which the adhesive force of the adhesive layer 7 is reduced. On the other hand, a perforation 33 is formed with a die roll 41 at a predetermined portion facing the non-adhesive portion 8 of the partial adhesive sheet main body 20 when the partial adhesive sheet main body 20 is bonded to the release mount 5 to obtain a release mount 34 having a penetrating portion. The partial adhesive sheet main body 20 obtained in this manner and the peeling backing sheet 34 having the penetrating portion formed thereon are bonded together again by the nip roller 11 to form the partial adhesive sheet 42. After performing predetermined printing in the printing unit 13, the partial adhesive sheet 42 hardens the printing ink in the UV dryer 14, and further performs a punching process of the partial adhesive label body using the flat die 15 or the like, and an adjustment of the sheet width using the slitter 16. After that, unnecessary portions are removed by a so-called scrap lifting device 17 and wound up by a winding device 18 to obtain a roll-shaped partial adhesive label 30.
[0020]
In the conventional manufacturing process, there was no escape place for the air 21 embraced when the adhesive sheet main body 20 and the peeling backing sheet 5 were bonded to each other, which caused wrinkles 24. When the adhesive sheet main body 20 is bonded to the release sheet 34 having the through-hole formed therein, the air 21 flows between the adhesive sheet body 20 and the release sheet 34 by the perforations 33 formed in the release sheet 34. Is quickly released to the outside, so that the generation of wrinkles 24 can be prevented. Similarly, even if the conveying direction of the partial adhesive sheet 42 is turned sharply by the guide roller 22 or is conveyed while being sandwiched by the nip roller 23, the air 21 passes through the perforation 33 and quickly goes to the outside. Since it is released, generation of wrinkles 24 can be prevented.
[0021]
Next, a second embodiment of manufacturing the partial adhesive label 54 according to the present invention using the existing partial adhesive sheet 50 will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 is a schematic perspective view showing a configuration example of the partial adhesive sheet 50, FIG. 5 is a schematic perspective view of a partial adhesive label 54, and FIG. 6 is a schematic side view showing the configuration of the manufacturing apparatus 60.
[0022]
The partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 50 shown in FIG. 4 has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 7 provided on a part of the back surface of the base material 6 and a partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet main body 51 in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 7 non-coated surface is a non-pressure-sensitive portion 52. The partial adhesive label 54 shown in FIG. 5 is obtained by temporarily attaching the peeling backing sheet 5 by the following steps.
[0023]
That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the roll-shaped partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 50 attached to the unwinding device 1 of the manufacturing device 60 is unwound, and the peeling backing sheet 5 facing the non-adhesive portion 52 of the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet main body 51 is formed. Then, a penetrating portion is formed by the perforation 33 with the die roll 41. The partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 53 having such a penetrating portion is subjected to predetermined printing by the printing unit 13, followed by curing of the printing ink by the UV drier 14, and further, a label cutting process using the flat die 15 or the like, or a slitter. After adjustment of the sheet width by 16, unnecessary portions are removed by a so-called scrap raising 17, and the roll is wound by a winding device 18 to obtain a roll-shaped partial adhesive label 54.
[0024]
If the perforations 33 are formed on the release liner 5 as described above, the air 21 taken between the non-adhesive portion 52 of the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet main body 51 and the release liner 5 can be used as the perforations 33 formed on the release liner 5. Therefore, even if the conveying direction of the partial adhesive sheet 53 is steered by the guide roller 22 at a steep angle, or if the partial adhesive sheet 53 is conveyed by being pinched by the nip roller 23, the generation of the wrinkles 24 can be prevented.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive label of the present invention, since the penetrating portion is formed in the peeling backing sheet, it is possible to prevent wrinkles from occurring during the production and use of the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive label.
Furthermore, according to the manufacturing apparatus of the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive label according to the present invention, since the penetrating portion can be formed in the release liner of the partial pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet body and the release liner are stuck together or the sheet is steeply angled. Even if it is handled or sandwiched between nip rollers, a partially adhesive label without wrinkles can be obtained.
