Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a label without a mount, and more particularly, to a method for manufacturing a label without a mount in which a notch that is broken when an attempt is made to peel the label after being attached to an object.
[0002]
[Prior art]
There is a label without a mount as shown in FIG. 1 as a discount display label of a product or a label indicating that the product has been settled by sticking to the product.
The non-mounting label 10 has a single-leaf label 11 wound in series to form a roll body 12.
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the label 10 having no mount includes a paper material such as high-quality paper and coated paper, a film such as PET (pet) film, a label base material 14 such as synthetic paper and thermal paper, and the label base. A release agent layer 18 in which a release agent such as silicone is applied to the surface of the material 14 and an adhesive layer 16 in which an adhesive agent is applied to the back surface of the label substrate 14 are provided.
[0003]
The surface of the label substrate 14 is printed 22 with a product name, code, amount, date, company name, etc., if necessary. Further, a detection mark 26 for detecting one label unit is printed on the back surface of the label base material 14 as necessary when a label without a mount is run by a label printer or an automatic sticking machine.
[0004]
The no-board label 10 is formed with a cutting notch 20 for separating the label for each unit. As shown in FIG. 1, the cutting notches 20 are formed by forming perforations 20 </ b> A in the width direction of the non-mounting label 10, for example. There may be a case where the through portion 20B is formed at both ends of the perforation 20A to facilitate separation. As a result, the baseless label 10 is cut only by applying a shearing force to the baseless label 10 along the cutting notches 20.
[0005]
Further, the non-mounting label 10 has cuts (hereinafter referred to as tamper cuts) 24, 24. The tamper cuts 24 are radially formed from the starting ends that are spaced apart from each other at the center of the label and located on substantially the same circumference, and penetrate the label base material 14 and the release agent layer 18. Further, the tamper cut 24 is formed between the cutting notches 20 and 20, respectively. When the non-mounting label 10 is cut into one label 11 along the cutting notch 20, all the separated single-leaf labels 11 are provided with tamper cuts 24. When the single-leaf label 11 is once attached to the adherend and then peeled off, as shown in FIG. 3, the tamper cut 24 triggers the label 11 to break.
[0006]
As shown in FIG. 4, the label 10 having no mount as described above is a method for separating the release mount after processing by sticking to a strong release mount and forming the cut 20 for cutting and the tamper cut 24. There is a method of manufacturing using only the label substrate 14.
[0007]
4 is outlined, the strip-shaped label base material 14 is wound and mounted on the supply shaft 30, and the label base material 14 is unwound from the supply shaft 30. The label base material 14 is guided by a large number of guide rollers 32, 32..., Passed through a printing process 34, a release agent coating process 36, a die cutting process 38, and an adhesive coating process 40, and then wound around a winding shaft 42. Taken.
[0008]
The printing step 34 is a step of printing on the front surface or the back surface of the label substrate 14 unwound from the supply shaft 30, and includes a plurality of printing units 44, 44. The printing unit 44 mainly includes a plate cylinder 46, an impression cylinder 48, and a UV lamp 50. The label base 14 is sandwiched and conveyed by the plate cylinder 46 and the impression cylinder 48, and ultraviolet rays are applied to the plate cylinder 46. A curable ink (ink that is instantly cured by irradiation of ultraviolet rays) is supplied to perform printing on the label substrate 14. Then, by irradiating the UV light from the UV lamp 50 and curing the ink printed on the label base material 14, printing 22, 22... Is performed on the surface of the label base material 14, and the detection mark 26 is printed on the back surface. The In FIG. 4, the printing unit 44 </ b> A is a unit that performs printing 22 on the surface of the label base material 14, and the printing unit 44 </ b> B is a unit that prints the detection mark 26 on the back surface of the label base material 14. The number of the printing units 44 </ b> A and 44 </ b> B is changed depending on the presence / absence of the detection mark 26 and the number of colors of the printing 22.
[0009]
The release agent coating step 36 is a step of applying a release agent to the surface of the label substrate 14 that has undergone the printing step 34. The type and release ability of the release agent are selected according to the type of the adhesive used in the adhesive application process 40 described later, and for example, a release agent such as silicone is used. This release agent is applied to the surface of the label base material 14 by the coating unit 51 and is cured by irradiating ultraviolet rays from the UV lamp 52. Thereby, the release agent layer 18 is formed on the surface of the label substrate 14.
[0010]
The die cut process 38 is a process of forming the cutting notches 20 and the tamper cut 24 on the label base material 14 that has undergone the release agent coating process 36. The cutting 20 for cutting and the tamper cut 24 are formed, for example, by pressing a roll 54 with a blade called a die roll against the label base material 14 and rotating it. Thereby, the cutting 20 and the tamper cut 24 which penetrate the label base material 14 and the release agent layer 18 are formed.
[0011]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive coating process 40 is a process of applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive to the back surface of the label substrate 14 that has undergone the die-cutting process 38. As the adhesive, for example, a hot melt system (using thermoplasticity), an emulsion system (adhesive dispersed in water), a solvent system (adhesive dissolved in an organic solvent), etc. are used. . When the adhesive is applied to the back surface of the label base material 14 from the coating nozzle 56, the adhesive layer 16 is formed on the back surface of the label base material 14 (see FIG. 2).
[0012]
The label base material 14 that has undergone the adhesive coating process 40 is cut at both ends by a slitter 58 and cut to a predetermined width, and then the cut both ends (cass) 60 are wound around a scrap removing shaft 62, The label substrate 14 is wound around the winding shaft 42. Thereby, the roll body 12 around which the label 10 without the mount is wound is manufactured.
[0013]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, the label 10 on which the tamper cut 24 (cut) is formed has a tendency that the adhesive passes through the tamper cut 24 in the adhesive coating process 40 and oozes out to the surface or the base material 14 is easily cut.
For this reason, the type and viscosity of the pressure-sensitive adhesive, the size of the label base material 14 and the conveyance conditions were severely regulated.
[0014]
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems of the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a mountless label that can be easily manufactured and prevented from being replaced.
[0015]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention adopts a feature of a configuration in which a plurality of radial notches extending radially away from the center of the shaft are formed at both ends in the axial direction of a label without a mount wound in a roll shape. There is to do.
[0016]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of a method for manufacturing a label without a mount according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
[0017]
FIG. 5 is an explanatory view of a tamper cut forming process at the end of the manufacturing method.
[0018]
Reference numeral 70 denotes a roll body of a label without a mount, and the roll body 70 is substantially the same as the roll body 12 of the label 10 without a mount which has been manufactured through the above-described conventional manufacturing process. However, in the die cutting process 38, only the cutting notch 20 is formed, and the tamper cut 24 is not formed.
[0019]
Reference numeral 71 denotes a cutting tool. The cutting tool 71 includes a plurality of blade portions 73 whose base ends are embedded in a flat pedestal 72 and whose tips are machined into blades. I am doing.
[0020]
Then, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the cutting tool 71 is applied to both ends of the roll 70 (wrapped non-mounting label) in the axial direction and pressed from both sides, thereby extending away from the axial center in the radial direction. A plurality of radial cuts 74 are formed. The number of radial cuts 74 is determined according to the label pitch, and one or more single-leaf labels 75 are provided.
[0021]
When one end of the label without a mount is pulled out from the roll body 70 manufactured as described above, a plurality of tamper cuts 76 are formed between the perforations 20 as shown in FIG.
And the form which cuts off from each cutting notch 20 and uses it as the single leaf label 75 is the same as described in the prior art.
[0022]
As described above, according to the present embodiment, tamper cutting can be performed in a state of being wound up without transporting the label base material at the final stage of the manufacturing process.
This makes it possible to arbitrarily set the type and viscosity of the pressure-sensitive adhesive, the size of the label base material, and the transport conditions by removing the obstacle that the pressure-sensitive adhesive oozes out on the surface of the label base material during manufacturing or the base material easily breaks. There are various effects such as shortening the delivery time and lowering the manufacturing cost.
[0023]
In the above-described embodiment, as a method of forming the cutting 20 for cutting the label base material 14, a rotary type in which the bladed roller 54 is rotated and cut is illustrated, but the present invention is not limited to this, and a flat die is used. It may be adopted.
[0024]
Alternatively, thermal paper may be used as the label substrate 14 and used for a label on which variable information such as numbers and barcodes is thermally recorded by a label printer.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the label-less label manufacturing method of the present invention, the tamper-cut process can be performed while being wound up at the final stage of the manufacturing process without being accompanied by the conveyance of the stretched label base material.
Thereby, the inconvenience that the pressure-sensitive adhesive oozes out to the surface of the label base material during the production or the base material easily breaks can be overcome.
