Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an EPA and / or DHA enhancer that increases and enhances EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) in cultured aquatic animals, and a method of enhancing EPA and / or DHA in cultured aquatic animals.
[0002]
[Prior art]
EPA and DHA are effective for prevention of arteriosclerosis, prevention of angina and myocardial infarction, prevention of hypertension and thrombosis, improvement of cataract and glaucoma, suppression of allergy, prevention of brain aging, improvement and improvement of vascular system, prevention of cancer, etc. It is attracting attention as a component.
[0003]
Such EPA and DHA are contained more in marine animals such as fish, squid / octopus, and shellfish than other foods. Therefore, marine animals are generally widely used as a source of ingestion into the human body.
[0004]
However, conventionally, in cultured aquatic animals including cultured fish (especially, marine), the EPA and DHA are simply taken in a state contained in fish oil added to the feed (for example, Therefore, EPA and DHA after being taken in are consumed for physiological activity and metabolism, and only about 60% remains at the time of landing. In other words, although there are more than other foods, the content of EPA and DHA in the cultured aquatic animal is naturally limited, and it is low compared to natural fish, and it is still possible to obtain aquacultured fish products that are sufficiently satisfactory. It was not.
[0005]
[Non-patent document 1]
Fisheries and Feed Lipids, edited by the Fisheries Society of Japan, Koseisha Koseikaku Publishing, April 15, 1978, P43-57.
[0006]
In addition, in order to compensate for the decrease in natural marine resources, production of aquaculture products has continued to increase in recent years, and the demand for feed has increased. However, there is a limit to the supply of fish oil, which is indispensable for supplementing feed lipids, and the emergence of alternatives is also strongly desired in the aquaculture industry.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of such conventional circumstances, and has as its object to provide an EPA and / or DHA enhancer for cultured aquatic animals that can increase and enhance EPA and DHA in the cultured aquatic animal. I do. Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for enhancing EPA and / or DHA, which can increase and enhance EPA and DHA in cultured aquatic animals.
[0008]
The inventor of the present invention has conducted various studies to achieve the object, and as a result, has found that an extremely good result can be obtained by administering an extract of grape seed to cultured aquatic products, thereby completing the present invention.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
That is, the present invention has achieved the above object by an EPA and / or DHA enhancer for cultured aquatic animals comprising an extract of grape seeds or an extract of grape seeds and fish oil.
[0010]
Further, the present invention has achieved the above object by a method for enhancing EPA and / or DHA in a cultured aquatic animal, which comprises administering the EPA and / or DHA enhancer for a cultured aquatic animal to a feed, and administering the feed. is there.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In the present invention, a method for producing an extract of grape seeds is not particularly limited, and for example, a method of extracting grape seeds with warm water and pulverizing the obtained extract by vacuum freeze-drying and the like can be mentioned as a simple method. .
[0012]
In the present invention, when the EPA and / or DHA enhancer is composed of a grape seed extract and fish oil, it becomes easy to uniformly add the feed to the feed, and the EPA and DHA contained in the fish oil are reduced during storage. Can be prevented, which is particularly advantageous. In this case, the content of the grape seed extract is set to 1.0 to 4.0% by weight, particularly 2.0 to 3.0% by weight, so that the EPA and DHA contained in the fish oil are reduced. It is more preferable for prevention.
[0013]
In the present invention, the feed to which the EPA and / or DHA enhancer is added is not particularly limited, but the amount of the feed is 0.01 to 0.5% by weight in the feed when only grape seed extract is used. It is advantageous to contain 0.02 to 0.3% by weight, and in the case of grape seed extract and fish oil, 5.0 to 15.0% by weight, preferably 7 to 13% by weight. If the amount is less than the above range, the effect of enhancing EPA and / or DHA is hardly obtained, while if the amount exceeds the above range, the astringency becomes strong and the foraging activity of the cultured aquatic animal tends to decline. Is more likely to occur.
[0014]
【Example】
Hereinafter, the present invention will be further described with reference to examples.
[0015]
Example 1
To 1 kg of Chardonnay grape seeds, 15 kg of hot and cold water (60 to 80 ° C.) was added and immersed for 150 minutes to obtain an extract. Next, this extract was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain 500 mL of a concentrate having a solid content of 12%. Next, this concentrated liquid was subjected to vacuum freeze-drying treatment to obtain 86 g of grape seed extracted powder.
[0016]

High activity, that is, supporting the cultivation of a healthy fish, and the remaining amount in the meat is enhanced by 25 to 33% in Examples 3 and 4 in both EPA and DHA with respect to Comparative Examples 1 and 2. It is clear that.
[0027]
Test example 3
The mixture of the grape seed extract and the fish oil obtained in Example 2 and the fish oil containing no grape seed extract were allowed to stand at room temperature for 20 days in an uncovered glass container, and then tested for EPA and DHA contents. The measurement was performed in the same manner as in Example 1. Table 4 shows the results.
[0028]
[Table 4]

[0029]
From Table 4 above, it is clear that the inclusion of grape seed extract in fish oil can prevent the consumption of EPA and DHA contained in fish oil during storage.
[0030]
【The invention's effect】
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the content of EPA and DHA in a cultured marine product can be efficiently increased and strengthened. Therefore, the enhancer of the present invention can be used as an inexpensive substitute for fish oil added to feed, and as a result, it is possible to reduce the amount of fish oil whose supply is limited. In addition, the enhancer of the present invention in which an extract of grape seeds is contained in fish oil, in particular, can prevent EPA and DHA contained in fish oil from being depleted during preservation, thereby enabling more efficient use of fish oil.
