TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a soft capsule film containing no gelatin, a raw material thereof, and a soft capsule comprising the soft capsule film.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, gelatin has been used as a main raw material of a film of a soft capsule because it has properties such as flexibility and high film strength suitable for capsule production. However, since gelatin is a heterogeneous protein, there is a problem of allergy and BSE, and there is also a problem in physical properties such as coloring due to Maillard reaction and changes in physical properties. Therefore, soft capsules that do not use gelatin are desired.
[0003]
Examples of soft capsules not using gelatin as a main material include those using a combination of alginic acid and polyvalent metal ions, alginic acid and pectin, and combinations of alginic acid and metal ions as main materials (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. 03-68508 and 61-44810; JP-A-58-210841), those using a combination of carrageenan and metal ions as main raw materials (JP-A-60-12943), those using agar as main raw materials (JP-A-01-193216), agar and intestine There are those using a soluble coating as a main raw material (JP-A-05-32543) and those using agar and methacrylic acid as main raw materials (JP-A-57-32230).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Of these, alginate and polyvalent metal ions, alginate and pectin, a combination of alginic acid and metal ions as a main material of a soft capsule film or a soft capsule film of carrageenan and a metal ion as a main material, because the bond is strong, There is a problem that the film becomes insoluble in water and is not sufficiently dissolved in water or gastric juice. Further, the soft capsule film containing agar as a main raw material is an enteric coating whose dissolution rate is controlled, and has a problem that it is not sufficiently dissolved in gastric juice. Furthermore, since the soft capsule film containing alginic acid, carrageenan, pectin, etc. as a main raw material contains a large amount of metal ions, there is a concern about interaction with a medicinal ingredient.
[0006]
Therefore, the present invention provides a soft capsule film which can be easily dissolved in water or gastric juice, does not contain a large amount of metal ions, and does not contain gelatin as a main material, and a soft capsule film composed of the soft capsule film. Aim.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a water-soluble polymer, a first saccharide comprising a dextrin of DE12 or less, and one or two of trehalose, erythritol, mannitol, xylitol, sucrose, sorbitol and maltose. And a second saccharide comprising the above.
[0008]
In the capsule coating according to the present invention, the water-soluble polymer forms a three-dimensional network in the coating and participates in the formation of the coating. Even if a plasticizer such as glycerin is added to the three-dimensional network formed by the water-soluble polymer, the three-dimensional network may have low strength or lack flexibility. And a second saccharide comprising one or more of trehalose, erythritol, mannitol, xylitol, sucrose, sorbitol, and maltose to maintain an appropriate amount of water in the film, Form a hydrogen bond with the hydroxyl group of the water-soluble polysaccharide to form a strong and flexible film. In addition, since these saccharides have moderate crystallinity, the stickiness of the film can be suppressed, and the attachment of soft capsules can be prevented.
[0009]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In the film of the soft capsule according to the present invention, the water-soluble polymer is agar, carrageenan, furceleran, gellan gum, native gellan gum, starch, modified starch, guar gum, tara gum, locust bean gum, sodium alginate, tamarind gum, pectin, gum arabic, Preferably, it is one or more of pullulan, soybean polysaccharide and cellulose derivative.
[0010]
In the capsule of the soft capsule according to the present invention, the first saccharide is preferably made of dextrin having a DE of 12 or less, and the second saccharide is particularly preferably made of one or two of trehalose and erythritol. The dextrin having a DE of 10 or less includes a branched dextrin, a cluster dextrin, and a partially pregelatinized starch in addition to a normal dextrin.
[0011]
Further, the film of the soft capsule according to the present invention may further contain a plasticizer, and by further adding a plasticizer, the flexibility of the soft capsule film can be improved. Examples of the plasticizer include glycerin and sorbitol.
[0012]
Further, the capsule coating according to the present invention may contain a coloring matter, a preservative, and the like as needed. Examples of the pigment include an edible synthetic coloring agent and iron sesquioxide, and examples of the preservative include a paraoxybenzoate.
[0013]
In the soft capsule film according to the present invention, the weight ratio of the water-soluble polymer to the first saccharide and the second saccharide is preferably 20: 1 to 600, and 1: 1 to 20. Is more preferred. If the weight ratio is less than 20: 1, the film lacks flexibility, and if it exceeds 20: 600, the film becomes sticky and the adhesion of the film increases.
[0014]
The soft capsule film of the present invention is prepared by thoroughly mixing a water-soluble polymer, a first saccharide, a second saccharide, and a plasticizer, if necessary, and adding them to water in a dissolving tank little by little while stirring. It can be manufactured by uniformly dispersing, then heating while stirring at 80 ° C. to 98 ° C. to dissolve so as not to generate lumps, defoaming, and following a conventional method.
[0015]
Further, the present invention is a soft capsule composed of a soft capsule film, and the soft capsule according to the present invention has a short disintegration time, is excellent in water, gastric juice, and intestinal juice, and can be dissolved at a high temperature like gelatin. No capsules adhere to each other, there is no concern about allergy such as gelatin, and there is no coloring due to the Maillard reaction. Further, the present invention is a raw material for a soft capsule film of the above soft capsule film.
