Abstract
Description
【0001】
PDA(Personal Digital

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a chat device for chatting between users.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, the use of the Internet has spread rapidly, and various services have been provided on the Internet accordingly. One of them is called a network game service. In this service, each player's game device is connected to a game server on the Internet, and the game server mutually exchanges the state of each player in a game space virtually constructed in each game device connected to the game device. Is reflected.
[0003]
In such a network game, a chat service is often provided along with the network game. This is a service in which each player transmits and receives character information and the like to each other via the Internet, and creates a state as if they are having a conversation (chat). In this case, for example, the game server may also serve as a chat server that relays the content of the chat. Note that the chat service itself may be provided independently of the network game.
[0004]
Conventionally, in such a chat service, a game device on a player (a user who performs a chat) includes a text input field and a send button on a part of a game screen, and the player inputs a character string into the text input field. When the user inputs and clicks the send button, the game device sends the character string input in the text input box as a message to a chat server or the like.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional message transmission method described above, the content of the conversation to be exchanged must be input one by one from a keyboard or the like, and if this operation is attempted during the game, the operation of the game itself is neglected. In other words, there were problems such as hindering the progress of the game.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a chat device, a chat device control method, and a program capable of selectively transmitting a sufficient variation of messages with a simple operation. One.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention for solving the problems of the above conventional example is a chat device, a means for receiving an output instruction operation from a user, a means for acquiring a timing start timing, a means for acquiring a timing end timing, It is characterized by including a selecting unit for selecting a message based on an output instruction operation received between the timing start timing and the timing end timing, and a unit for outputting the selected message. In the present invention, since a message is selected based on the output instruction operation performed from the timing start timing to the timing end timing, a sufficient variation of messages can be selectively transmitted by a simple operation.
[0008]
Further, here, the selecting means, at least during the time from the timing start timing to the timing end timing, every time there is an output instruction operation, tentatively sequentially selects any one of a plurality of preset messages, The message provisionally selected at the timing end timing may be set as the selected message.
[0009]
By changing the message each time there is an output instruction operation in this manner, variations can be enriched. Furthermore, the selection means may present a message that is temporarily provisionally selected to the user.
[0010]
Further, the timing start timing acquisition means may detect and acquire a timing at which a user's output instruction operation is started as a timing start timing. By doing so, the operation becomes easier. Further, the timing end timing obtaining means may obtain a timing after a predetermined time from the timing start timing as a timing end timing. As described above, the operation is more simplified by acquiring the timing end timing based on the time.
[0011]
In addition, the apparatus may further include a timing end instruction receiving unit that receives a timing end instruction from a user, and the timing end timing obtaining unit may obtain a timing at which the timing end instruction is received as the timing end timing. This improves operability.
[0012]
The present invention for solving the problems of the conventional example is a control method for a chat device, which comprises an output instruction operation receiving step of receiving an output instruction operation from a user by an operation means, and acquiring a timing start timing. By a timing start timing obtaining means, a timing start timing obtaining step of obtaining a timing start timing, and a timing end timing obtaining means of obtaining a timing end timing, a timing end timing obtaining step of obtaining a timing end timing, and a selecting means, A selection step of selecting a message based on an output instruction operation received from the timing start timing to the timing end timing, and a selection message output step of outputting the selected message by a message output unit. Including That.
[0013]
Further, the program according to the present invention, an output instruction operation receiving procedure for receiving an output instruction operation from the user, a timing start timing obtaining procedure for obtaining a timing start timing, a timing end timing obtaining procedure for obtaining a timing end timing, The computer causes the computer to execute a selection procedure of selecting a message based on an output instruction operation received from the timing start timing to the timing end timing, and a selection message output procedure of outputting the selected message. .
[0014]
As described above, the message is selected based on the output instruction operation performed from the timing start timing to the timing end timing, so that a sufficient variation of the message can be selectively transmitted by a simple operation.
[0015]

This corresponds to an output instruction operation. That is, for example, every time this button is clicked, the temporarily selected message is sequentially displayed as shown in FIG. 5B. In addition, not only a simple click but also a continuous click operation (an operation of continuously clicking a plurality of times within a predetermined short time, such as a double click or a triple click), or a so-called " The operation of "continuous hit" may be set as an output instruction operation, and the message may be temporarily selected one by one every time such an operation is performed.

With this gauge, the user can understand how much time must be left to call a desired message. Furthermore, when a desired message is provisionally selected, the user clicks the "Speak" button (E) without waiting for the timing end timing to cause the provisionally selected message to be transmitted on the spot. You can also. Although not shown here, it is also preferable to arrange a button for canceling the comment and returning to the initial state, so that it is possible to cope with an erroneous operation.

The chat device of the present invention is not limited to the above example. For example, a chat device for simply enjoying a chat, not in parallel with a game, may be used. In this case, the present invention also enables selective transmission of a variety of messages with simple operation. At this time, the

In the above-described example, the content of the temporary selection is shown using the button, but it may be a menu, other graphical user interface components, or simply a character string display. Further, as described above, there are various methods for the output instruction operation for provisional selection, such as clicking and key operation of the keyboard.
[0057]
There are many acquisition methods for timing start timing and timing end timing. For example, as described above, the start of a predetermined operation by the user may be used as the timing start timing, and the time when a certain time has elapsed therefrom may be used as the timing end timing, but in another example, the time at which the output instruction operation was last performed is counted. The timing may be a start timing, and a time when a certain time has elapsed from the start timing may be set as a timing end timing. Regardless of the user's operation, a point in time at which a predetermined signal (for example, a signal notifying that “chat time” has been reached) is received from the outside is set as a timing start timing, It is conceivable that a point in time when a predetermined signal (such as a signal notifying of “chat time end”) separately received from the outside is received is set as the timing end timing.
[0058]
Furthermore, the tables shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B may be rewritable by the user as desired.
[0059]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, a wide variety of messages can be transmitted by a simple operation.
