Abstract
【解決手段】 一定の患者の1個以上の肺に直接的に連結されている一定の酸素供給源を有する長期間酸素療法システムは気腫等のような慢性の閉塞性肺病および慢性の気管支炎により生じる低酸素症を比較的に効率良く治療するために利用できる。このシステムは一定の酸素供給源、1個以上の弁および流体搬送用導管を備えている。これらの流体搬送用導管は上記酸素供給源を一定の患者の各肺の中における病気の部位に連結する。また、一定の患者の1個以上の肺に直接的に連結されている一定の副行換気用トラップ・バイパス・システムは病気の状態の1個以上の肺からの呼気の流量を増加して慢性の閉塞性肺病の別の態様を治療するために利用できる。このシステムは一定のトラップ、一定のフィルター/逆止め弁および一定の空気搬送用導管を備えている。

Description
本特許出願は2002年8月28日に出願されている米国仮特許出願第60/406,624号の恩典を主張している。
本発明は気腫の肺の中に捕捉されている空気を除去するためのシステムおよび方法、特に、一定の容器/トラップ装置に肺の外胸膜層を通して一定の導管を介して非開存性の気道にバイパス形成することにより気腫の過剰膨張した肺の中に捕捉されている空気を除去するためのシステムおよび方法に関する。
空気は一般的に外鼻孔を通して哺乳類動物の体内に入り、鼻腔の中に流入する。この空気が外鼻孔および鼻腔を通過する時に、濾過され、加湿されてほぼその体温まで温度が上昇または下降する。各鼻腔の後部は咽頭(のどの領域)に継続しており、それゆえ、空気は各鼻腔または口から咽頭に到達できる。従って、状態が整っていれば、一定の哺乳類動物はその鼻または口を通して呼吸できる。一般に、口からの空気は外鼻孔からの空気ほどには濾過および温度調整がされていない。さらに、咽頭内の空気はその咽頭の床部内の一定の開口部から喉頭(voice box)の中に流入する。飲み込みの間に喉頭蓋がその喉頭を自動的に閉じるので、各種の固形物および/または液体は下方の空気の通路すなわち気道ではなく食道の中に入る。その後、この喉頭から、空気は気管の中に入り、この気管は気管支と呼ばれている2個の各分枝部分に分かれている。さらに、これらの気管支はそれぞれ各肺に接続している。

- 副行換気用バイパス・トラップ・システムにおいて、
一定の患者の1個以上の肺からの排出物を収集するための一定の収集容器、
前記収集容器に接続している第1の端部および所定の部位において一定の患者の胸壁部および肺の中に挿通されている第2の端部を有する少なくとも1個の導管を備えており、これにより、前記収集容器と前記肺の内部空間との間における流体を介する連絡が確立可能であり、さらに
前記少なくとも1個の導管と前記胸壁部との間、および当該少なくとも1個の導管と前記肺との間に一定の液蜜式のシールを確立するための一定のシール装置を備えている副行換気用バイパス・トラップ・システム。 - 副行換気用バイパス・トラップ・システムにおいて、
一定の患者の1個以上の肺からの排出物を収集するための一定の収集容器、
前記収集容器に接続している一定のフィルター/逆止め弁、
前記収集容器に接続している第1の端部および所定の部位において一定の患者の胸壁部および肺の中に挿通されている第2の端部を有する少なくとも1個の導管を備えており、これにより、前記収集容器と前記肺の内部空間との間における流体を介する連絡が確立可能であり、さらに
前記少なくとも1個の導管と前記胸壁部との間、および当該少なくとも1個の導管と前記肺との間に一定の液蜜式のシールを確立するための一定のシール装置を備えている副行換気用バイパス・トラップ・システム。 - 一定の病気の状態の肺からの呼気の流量を増加するための方法において、
高度な副行式の換気領域を有すると決定されている所定の部位において前記肺の胸壁部からその内部空間の中に延在する一定の吻合開口部を形成する工程、
前記高度な副行式の換気領域を有すると決定された部位における肺の内部空間と一定の収容容器との間において、その肺の中の空気が前記収容容器の中に流れるように、前記吻合開口部を通り前記収容容器から肺に延在している一定の導管を介して一定の流体を介する連絡用の連結部分を確立する工程、および
前記吻合開口部と前記導管との間に一定の液蜜式のシールを確立する工程を含む方法。
