しかしながら、従来のトランスポンダの配設構造によると、このトランスポンダから信号を受信し送信するためのアンテナは、トランスポンダのごく近傍の、タイヤ周方向の延在範囲が限定された領域に設けられているので、その送受信感度が十分でないうえ、回転するタイヤからの送受信に際して、周囲の電気的障害物がある場合、特定の回転位置に来たときしかで信号を送受信することができず、信号の送受信の信頼性を低下させていた。

本発明は、このような問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、タイヤもしくはトランスポンダの耐久性を阻害することなく、タイヤの回転にかかわりなくいつでも外部に対する送受信が可能なよう、トランスポンダおよびアンテナを配設したタイヤを提供することを目的とするものである。

上記目的を達成するため、本発明はなされたものであり、その要旨構成ならびに作用を以下に示す。

請求項1に記載のタイヤは、一対のビード部の間に一対のサイドウォール部およびトレッド部をトロイダル状に連ねて配置し、それぞれのビード部にビードコアを設けたタイヤにおいて、
トランスポンダとこの両端に接続された環状アンテナとよりなる環状体を、少なくとも一方のビードコアに沿って埋設してなるものである。

本発明のタイヤによれば、トランスポンダとアンテナとを、ともにタイヤの転動に際しての変形が少ないビードコアに沿う領域に埋設したので、タイヤならびにトランスポンダの耐久性への悪影響を抑制することができ、また、アンテナをビードコアに沿ってほぼ一周するよう環状に配設したので、タイヤの回転位置に拘らず外部に対して信号の送受信を行うことができる。

以下、本発明の実施形態について図1ないし図2に基づいて説明する。図1はタイヤ1の子午線断面におけるビード部2を示す断面図であり、図2はトランスポンダ8とアンテナ5との接合部を示す断面図である。タイヤ1のビード部2にはタイヤ周方向に延在するビードコア3が配設され、また、カーカス7は、ビードコア3の周りにその側部をタイヤ幅方向外側に折り返されて設けられている。

以上述べたところから明らかなように、本発明によれば、トランスポンダ8とアンテナ5とを、ともに変形が少ないビードコア3に沿う領域に埋設したので、トランスポンダ8、アンテナ5ならびにタイヤ1の耐久性への悪影響を抑制することができ、また、アンテナ5をビードコア3に沿ってほぼ一周するよう環状に配設したので、タイヤ1の回転位置に拘らず外部に対して信号の送受信を行うことができる。
