[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a small energy density antenna that can be mounted on a small mobile wireless device such as a mobile phone.
[0092]
[Prior art]
FIG. 5 is a conceptual diagram of a conventional energy density antenna, for example, a slot-monopole antenna described in Antenna Engineering Handbook, edited by The Institute of Electronics and Communication Engineers, published by Ohmsha, published on May 10, 1986, page 130. .
In FIG. 5, 1 is a monopole antenna, 2 and 3 are openings of a slot antenna, and 11 is a cavity resonator of the slot antenna. The feature of this antenna is that the monopole antenna 1 responsive to an electric field and the two slot antennas 2, 3 responsive to a magnetic field are positioned orthogonal to each other, so that they operate independently. Since there is no coupling between the elements, the directivity is slot and monopole-specific.
Since the conventional energy density antenna is configured as described above, it is difficult to reduce the size of the slot antenna, and its use is limited to a base station antenna or a mobile antenna that is fixed to a roof of a car with few restrictions on the installation location. Was.
[0093]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The conventional energy density antenna uses a slot antenna as an antenna that responds to a magnetic field, so it is difficult to reduce the size of the antenna. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to realize miniaturization by using a loop antenna as an antenna responsive to a magnetic field and using a melange line antenna as an antenna responsive to an electric field.
[0093]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION The energy density antenna which concerns on this invention can be reduced in size, and enables stable radio | wireless communication, when a standing wave exists indoors.
In the first aspect of the present invention, a loop antenna responsive to a magnetic field and a monopole antenna responsive to an electric field are installed close to each other.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, one of the two types of antennas is supplied with power and the other is supplied with no power, and the two are loosely coupled.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, a shield type loop antenna and a melanda line antenna or a helical antenna are used, and both are provided close to each other or provided on the same substrate.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the shielded loop antenna is formed of a multilayer substrate, and is used in any combination of the shield and the inner conductor.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, the second antenna is balanced and coupled to the divided shield portion of the shielded loop antenna.
In the sixth aspect of the present invention, the antenna substrate and the substrate of the wireless device are provided integrally or in proximity to each other, or the first antenna is provided close to or overlapped with the sill case of the wireless device or the metal case of the battery. .
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, the antenna is installed such that the directivity of the antenna is directed away from the human body.
According to the eighth aspect of the present invention, the antenna can be formed on a ferroelectric substrate or a substrate treated with a magnetic material, whereby the size can be reduced.
According to a ninth aspect of the present invention, a single or a plurality of antennas are provided separately from the antennas, and the antennas are loosely coupled to each other.
According to a tenth aspect of the present invention, a parasitic radiation element is provided in proximity to the Melanda line antenna to reduce the size.
[0056]
[Action]
In the present invention, for example, when a loop antenna and a melanda line antenna are loosely coupled, each independently constitutes a magnetic field antenna and an electric field antenna, and complements each other to constitute an antenna that is strong against standing waves or fading. However, by supplying power to one side and not supplying power to the other side, a double-tuning resonator can be formed to achieve a wider band.
[0086]
【Example】
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, (4) is a shield portion of the loop antenna, (5) is an inner conductor of the loop antenna, (6) is a loading capacitor (tuning amplifier for tuning) of the loop antenna, (7) is a meranda line antenna, 8) is a shield ring for balancing the coupling between the shield (4) of the loop antenna and the meranda line antenna (7), (9) is a rising portion of the melanada line antenna (7), and (21) is Drawing of the board viewed from the front side, (22) is a drawing of the board viewed from the side, (23) is a drawing of the board viewed from the back side, (24) and (25) are connection terminals of the antenna of the present invention, and (26) is nothing. It is a feed radiating element.
In FIG. 1, an inner conductor (5) of a loop antenna is provided on the front side (21) of the substrate by edging or the like, and a loading capacitor (6) is connected to a tip of the inner conductor. One end is connected to the connection terminal (25). A shield part (4) of the loop antenna is provided on the front side (23) of the substrate by edging or the like, a part of the shield part (4) is cut out, and a connection terminal (24) is provided at a center point on the opposite side. )It is connected to the. Here, it is assumed that the entire loop antenna resonates at the frequency f1.
On the other hand, the rear side (22) of the substrate is provided with a melanda line antenna (7) by edging or the like, and the shield portion (4) of the loop antenna is provided via the ring (8) and the rising portion (9). ) Connected to the center. Here, it is assumed that the entire Melanda line antenna resonates at the frequency f2.
The space between the shield ring (8) and the shield part (4) is symmetrical about the notch part of the shield part (4), and occurs between the ring (8) and the shield part (4). The high-frequency electric field is designed such that the output of the medal line antenna (7) that responds to the electric field does not appear at the connection terminal (25) of the cutout portion, in other words, the inner conductor (4) of the loop antenna. That is, due to the presence of the ring (8), the coupling between the melanda line antenna (7) and the inner conductor (5) of the loop antenna is loose.
Here, if the entire loop antenna resonates at the frequency f1 and the entire meranda line antenna resonates at the frequency f2 and the coupling between them is loose, a double-tuning resonance circuit is formed. When the two are brought into a critical coupling state, an antenna having a wide bandwidth can be realized.
Furthermore, since the Melanda line antenna (7) is sensitive to an electric field and the loop antennas (4) and (5) are sensitive to a magnetic field, it is possible to prevent a deep valley from dropping due to a standing wave generated in a room or the like.
Further, by providing the parasitic element (26), there is an advantage that the resonance frequency of the melanda line antenna (7) can be reduced and the external dimensions can be reduced.
When the loop antenna is formed of a multilayer substrate, a multi-turn loop antenna can be formed by alternately assigning each layer to the shield portion (4) and the inner conductor portion (5), or by assigning an arbitrary combination. Further, further miniaturization or higher gain can be realized.
When the energy density antenna of the present invention is applied to the 429 MHz band, the size of the substrate is reduced to 40 mm in width, 45 mm in height, and 1 mm in thickness using a two-layer glass epoxy substrate, and the bandwidth of VSWR <3 is achieved. Has a wide band for a small size of 45 MHz, a high gain of 1 dBi and an average gain of 1 dBi. For a standing wave at a half-wavelength position in front of a metal reflector, the fluctuation of the reception input is within 3 dB. The advantages such as suppression can be confirmed.
007
FIG. 2 is a conceptual diagram showing a method for installing the energy density antenna of the present invention on a mobile phone. In FIG. 2, (31) is an antenna board, (32) is a radio part board, (33) is a shield case of a radio part, (34) is a storage case of a mobile phone, and (35) is a battery.
On the antenna substrate (31), a first antenna and a second antenna are formed on a printed circuit board by etching or the like, and a radio unit (32) is provided on the same substrate as the antenna. I have. The radio section (32) is further covered with a shield case (33), and the entirety including the battery (35) is stored in a storage case (34) such as plastic.
Since the antenna (31) is composed of the first antenna and the second antenna and is provided on the same substrate, the antenna unit and the radio unit are assembled on the same substrate, so that the antenna (31) can be reduced in size. This is effective for cost reduction and cost reduction.
In addition, it has been confirmed that even if the battery (35) is installed near or overlapped with the second antenna, if the deviation of the resonance frequency is readjusted, the influence on the gain or the radiation pattern is small.
Further, the use of a ceramic substrate for the antenna substrate (31) makes it possible to reduce the size, and the application of a magnetic material can reduce the opening area of the loop antenna.
[0098]
FIG. 3 is a conceptual diagram showing a method for installing the energy density antenna of the present invention on a mobile phone. In FIG. 3, (31) is an antenna substrate, (32) is a wireless unit substrate, (33) is a wireless unit shield case, (34) is a mobile phone storage case, and (35) is a battery.
The antenna board (31) has the first antenna portion installed so as to overlap the shield case (33) of the radio section, and the size of the storage case (34) of the mobile phone can be reduced.
Since the first antenna of the antenna unit is a shield type loop antenna, even if it is installed close to or overlaps with the shield case (43), if the deviation of the resonance frequency is readjusted, the effect on the gain or the radiation pattern may be reduced. The above arrangement is possible because of the small number.
In addition, there is an advantage that the outer dimensions of the storage case (34) of the mobile phone can be reduced by setting the battery (35) as a part of the second antenna, close to the second antenna, or overlapping the second antenna.
[0099]
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of directivity of the energy density antenna of the present invention. In FIG. 4, (41) is a forward gain, (42) is a backward gain, and (43) is a pie chart.
In the energy density antenna according to the present invention, the shield type loop antenna responsive to the magnetic field has a figure-eight characteristic, the melamanda line antenna is omnidirectional, and the combination thereof is added in one direction to increase the gain. On the other hand, the gain is reduced by subtraction in the opposite direction.
When the energy density antenna of the present invention is installed in a mobile phone, the direction in which the gain is increased is directed away from the human body, and the direction in which the gain is reduced is directed toward the human body. The advantage that the influence on the human body can be reduced can be obtained.
In addition, since the first antenna is hardly affected by a nearby conductor, it is effective in preventing a decrease in sensitivity due to a human body.
[0102]
In the above description, a melange line antenna is used as an antenna sensitive to an electric field. However, a similar effect can be obtained by using a helical antenna, a general monopole antenna, a dipole antenna, an inverted F antenna, or the like.
Although the shield ring (8) has a strip shape, a similar effect can be obtained by using a disk shape, a square plate shape, or a metal plate having an arbitrary shape.
Further, when a linear dipole antenna is used, the coupling can be reduced without providing a portion corresponding to a shielding ring.
In addition, directivity can be improved by providing two sets of loop antennas crossing at 90 °.
Further, the outer conductor of the semi-rigid cable can be used for the shield portion of the loop antenna.
Further, by applying a high-frequency, low-loss magnetic material to the loop antenna portion, the loop antenna can be downsized.
Further, in the above description, one antenna is fed and the other is not fed. However, the same applies when both antennas are fed, or both antennas are combined using a transformer, a coupler, or a coupling circuit. Effects can be obtained.
Further, the bandwidth can be further increased by providing a plurality of antennas separately from the first antenna and the second antenna and loosely coupling each other.
In addition, the method of providing a parasitic antenna in the vicinity of the medal line antenna to reduce its size can be widely applied not only to the energy density antenna but also to a single or combined melan line antenna.
[0111]
【The invention's effect】
Since the present invention is configured as described above, there is an advantage that an energy density antenna which has a wide bandwidth, is strong against standing waves or fading, and is sensitive to energy density can be realized in a small size.
