本発明は、薬液等の液体を収納する医療用容器に関する。

【従来の技術】
薬液等の液体を収納する医療用容器として、軟質な袋(バッグ)と、この袋に設置された硬質な筒状のポート部材とを有する医療用容器が知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

しかしながら、従来の医療用容器には、液体を排出した後の容器内部のデッドスペース(死腔)が大きいという問題がある。このため、液体を排出しきったときに容器内部に残存する残液量が多く、必要量にこの残液量を加えた量の液体を充填しなければならず、液体の無駄が多い。この無駄により、特に、高価な薬液の場合、大幅なコスト増をもたらす。また、規定量の液体を正確に排出できない場合もある。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の医療用容器を添付図面に示す好適な実施形態に基づいて詳細に説明する。

図1は、本発明の医療用容器の実施形態(液体を充填して液体収納体とした状態)を示す斜視図、図2は、図1に示す医療用容器におけるポート部材付近の縦断面図、図3は、図1に示す医療用容器における弁体の側面図、図4は、図3中のIV−IV線断面図、図5は、図3中のV−V線断面図である。なお、図1中では、分かり易くするため、液体収納部を構成するシート材に覆われた部分のポート部材を、破線でなく実線で示している。また、図2中では、分かり易くするため、医療用容器内部に収納された液体の図示を省略している(図13、図16、図17においても同じ)。

これらの図に示す医療用容器1は、液体を収納する容器であり、軟質な袋状の液体収納部2と、該液体収納部2に設置された筒状の硬質なポート部材3とを備えている。

医療用容器1に収納する液体としては、特に限定されず、例えば、インスリン製剤、モルヒネ(麻薬性鎮痛剤)等の鎮痛剤(疼痛緩和用薬剤)、抗生物質、抗ガン剤、キシロカイン等の局麻剤等の各種薬液、生理食塩水、リンゲル液、電解質液、蒸留水、血液(血液成分も含む)、血液製剤、経口栄養剤等が挙げられる。

液体収納部2は、可撓性を有するシート材(軟質フィルム)を、その一部を融着(熱融着、高周波融着、超音波融着等)または接着(接着剤や溶媒による接着)してシールすることにより、袋状(バッグ状)に形成されたものである。

本実施形態では、液体収納部2は、1枚のシート材を、ポート部材3を折り返し部分に挟んだ状態で二つに折り重ね、その重なり部分の縁部をシールしてシール部21を形成してなるものである。すなわち、液体収納部2を構成するシート材の折り返し部分は、ポート部材3の外周面を覆った状態になっている。そして、このシート材がポート部材3の外周面を覆った部分の両端部分は、それぞれ、シート材とポート部材3の外周面とが例えば融着または接着等の方法により全周に渡り互いに固着された固着部11、12になっており、シート材がポート部材3の外周面を覆った部分の中央部分は、シート材とポート部材3の外周面とが互いに固着されていない非固着部13になっている。

シール部21と固着部11、12との境界部14、15は、シールが難しく、液密性を確保するように製造するのに高度な製造技術を要する。本実施形態では、液体収納部2が1枚のシート材で構成されていることにより、2枚のシート材を重ねて液体収納部2を構成する場合(図15参照)と比べ、境界部14、15の形成個所を少なくすることができるので、比較的容易に製造することができるとともに、収納した液体の液漏れをより確実に防止することができる。

液体収納部2を構成するシート材の材料としては、特に限定されないが、後述するポート部材3と熱融着可能なものであるのが好ましく、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、環状ポリオレフィン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体(EVA)等のポリオレフィン、またはこれらとSEBS(スチレン−エチレン−ブチレン−スチレンブロック共重合体)等のスチレン系エラストマー、水添ブタジエンラバー等とのブレンド物であるのが好ましい。また、このシート材は、これらの材料からなる軟質フィルムに、遮光性およびガスバリアー性を考慮してポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフタレート等を外面にラミネートしたものや、保存時の衝撃に対する強度向上を考慮してナイロン系エラストマーをラミネートしたものなども用いることができる。なお、このようなラミネートフィルムの場合も、内面はポリオレフィンであるのが好ましい。

また、液体収納部2を構成するシート材のその他の材料としては、例えば、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリブタジエン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)等のポリエステル、ポリウレタンエラストマー、フッ素樹脂、あるいはこれらを任意に組み合わせたもの(ブレンド樹脂、ポリマーアロイ、積層体等)が挙げられる。

ポート部材3の長さは、特に限定されず、医療用容器1の容量、形状等により適宜設定することができるが、通常、1〜10cm程度とされる。同様に、ポート部材3の肉厚(外径と内径との差の1/2)は、特に限定されないが、通常、0.5〜2mm程度とされる。

このプライミング工程では、通気口側チャック9内の吸引ラインによる吸引・排気を継続したまま行い、薬液供給ライン82からは薬液100が加圧せずに供給され、薬液100は、吸引ラインの吸引により生じた減圧状態によってポート部材3の内部に導入される。これにより、薬液供給ライン82内に気体が残っていた場合であっても、この気体がフィルター4を通過して排出されるので、この後に薬液100に混じって医療用容器1内に注入されることがないので、注入量に誤差を生じるのを防止することができる。なお、図7は、プライミング工程の途中の状態を示しており、プライミング工程の終了時には、薬液100の液面101がフィルター4に到達し、ポート部材3内が薬液100で満たされる。

このようなプライミング工程でポート部材3の内部に充満した薬液100の量は、過剰充填のベースとなる量である。すなわち、この後に注入される薬液100の量が、薬液100の投与時に医療用容器1より排出可能な量となる。一般に、少量容器では排出可能量の制御が難しいが、医療用容器1では、このように排出可能量を正確に制御することができ、製造管理上、非常に有利である。

また、本実施形態では、弁体5を途中までポート部材3内に挿入した状態(前記第3の状態)で薬液100を注入するので、後に弁体5を第1の位置まで押し込むのを容易かつ円滑に行うことができる。
