前記課題を解決するためこの発明では次のような技術的手段を講じている。
▲1▼ この発明の管継手は、配管を保持するボディ本体内にアダプタが嵌合され、その外方から締付部材により前記アダプタを機器等に向けて締め付けて固定する形式であると共に、ボディ本体とアダプタとの嵌合域の円周方向外方には外周方向への変位が可能な空隙を締付部材との間に有すると共に、前記ボディ本体とアダプタとの嵌合域に対しボディ本体の脱離方向側領域では締付部材の内周とボディ本体の外周の空隙が小さく設定されたことを特徴とする。

この管継手では、ボディ本体とアダプタとの嵌合域の円周方向外方には外周方向への変位が可能な空隙を締付部材との間に有するのでボディ本体とアダプタとを嵌合させることが可能であると共に、前記ボディ本体とアダプタとの嵌合域に対しボディ本体の脱離方向側領域では締付部材の内周とボディ本体の外周の空隙が小さく設定されたので、ボディ本体と締付部材とが相対変位を起こす余地が少なくボディ本体と締付部材との係合力が向上している。

以下、この発明の実施の形態を図面を参照して説明する。

図1乃至図5に示すように、この実施形態の管継手は、配管1(プラスチック・チューブ)を保持する構造を内蔵するエルボー状とした合成樹脂製のボディ本体2内に、合成樹脂製のアダプタ3が機器等(図示せず)への接続端側4から挿入されて嵌合(無理嵌め)されて、その外方から締付部材5により前記アダプタ3を機器等に向けて締め付けて固定する形式である。

前記締付部材5として、螺溝を有する金属製(又は樹脂製)のナットを用いている。そして、前記アダプタ3と機器等との間に介在するシール用パッキン6により、流体密性を担保している。
