TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an apparatus for separating needles from medical waste, and more particularly to an apparatus for appropriately and efficiently separating metal pieces such as injection needles from crushed medical waste after steam sterilization.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Medical waste sterilization methods include incineration, melting, dry heat sterilization, and high-temperature steam sterilization.Current medical waste treatment methods are sterilization using high-temperature steam in hospitals, and transportation and incineration. Methods for performing up to crushing for efficient secondary processing such as the above are increasing.
[0003]
Regarding high-temperature steam sterilization, there is no proper separation method because the medical waste after sterilization contains water and is entangled. Therefore, injection needles are manually separated in hospitals, and blood, etc. It is a social problem that a used injection needle with a mark is accidentally stabbed in a hand or the like during separation to cause infection by pathogenic bacteria.
[0004]
In addition, as an example of the processing method of a syringe, there is a description that the syringe is melted in a high-temperature hot-blast stove to collect the resin and the needle of the syringe, respectively (for example, see Patent Document 1). In addition, there is an example in which an electromagnet is attached to a crushing blade for crushing a charged syringe, and a metal such as a crushed injection needle is attached to the crushing blade for separation (for example, see Patent Document 2).
[0005]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-300288 [Patent Document 2]
JP-A-10-212269
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Medical waste sterilized by a high-temperature steam sterilization method or the like can be legally discharged as general industrial waste. However, if the needle is mixed, there is a risk of puncture during handling, so it is necessary to separate the needle manually at the hospital. As a result, there is a problem that an accident of infection with a pathogen occurs.
[0007]
Further, in the example described in Patent Document 1, since a hot air generator and a hot air oven are provided, a device having a complicated structure using a heat-resistant member is required, and the processing cost is increased.
[0008]
Further, in the example described in Patent Document 2, if crushing is continued while the metal such as a crushed injection needle is being bitten by the crushing blade which is temporarily magnetized, the crushing blade becomes worn or malfunctions, and the crushing efficiency is reduced. And maintenance problems also occur. In addition, electromagnetic waves are generated by the electromagnets, which may cause malfunctions of electronic medical devices and the like, so that they are not suitable for use in hospitals.
[0009]
An object of the present invention is to provide a technique for easily and accurately separating medical needles sterilized and crushed in a hospital without manually separating injection needles and other metal pieces.
[0010]
[Means for solving the problem]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the medical waste injection needle sorting apparatus of the present invention provides a medical waste injection needle sorting device that sterilizes with steam, and then crushes medical waste including crushed syringes on a vibrating flat plate. A feeder, and a belt conveyor that conveys the crushed material separated by the vibrating feeder, the belt conveyor being an endless belt wound around a magnet pulley, and a non-magnetic crushed material at a downstream end of the magnet pulley. The non-magnetic material is separated from the injection needle and other metal pieces by dropping and moving the crushed material having magnetism attached to the endless belt by the magnetic force of the magnet pulley and moved. .
[0011]
According to the present invention, the following operations are provided. The vibration feeder separates medical waste by vibration so that it can be easily separated, and supplies the waste to a belt conveyor quantitatively. The crushed material conveyed on the belt conveyor is separated into a metal piece such as an injection needle and a non-magnetic crushed material by a magnet pulley. In this case, a partition plate for separating the non-magnetic crushed material falling and the magnetic crushed material adhered to the belt conveyor may be disposed substantially vertically below the downstream end of the magnet pulley.
[0012]
At this time, in order to obtain the highest sorting performance (more than 95% of the injection needle), the operating conditions of the device were
(1) Moisture content in medical waste after steam sterilization: 5 to 15% (weight ratio)
(2) Vibration of vibration feeder: amplitude 1.5mm, frequency 60Hz
(3) Belt conveyor speed: 30m / min
(4) Angle of partition plate: 0-4 °
It is preferable that
[0013]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The outline of the embodiment of the present invention is that when medical waste such as used syringes crushed by steam sterilization, the supply amount is quantified while crushed entangled materials are entangled by a vibration feeder, and then transported by a belt conveyor. In addition, a magnet pulley separates the injection needle and other metal pieces from other crushed materials.
[0014]
FIG. 1 shows a medical waste treatment system in a hospital. At the subsequent stage of the crushing device 2 that crushes medical waste steam-sterilized by the steam-type sterilizing device 1, the needle separating device 3 of the present embodiment that separates a metal piece such as an injection needle is installed. Separate the pieces from other medical waste.
[0015]
FIG. 2 shows a configuration example of the injection needle sorting device 3. This example includes a vibration feeder 11 having a vibration generator 11a, a belt conveyor 12 installed at a subsequent stage, and a partition plate 14 arranged at a downstream end of the belt conveyor 12, and an endless belt conveyor 12 is provided. A pulley 13 made of a neodymium-based rare earth magnet, which is a strong magnet, is used as the wound driving pulley. The pulley 13 is driven by a driving source M.
[0016]
The crushed medical waste that has been steam-sterilized and crushed is in a state in which wastes such as metals such as injection needles and other materials are entangled with each other by the moisture of steam. When the crushed material in the entangled state is thrown into the vibrating feeder 11 and subjected to vibration, the entangled state is loosened and separated.
[0017]
In this manner, the crushed medical waste is dissociated into the injection needle, the metal piece, and the other crushed material by the vibration feeder, conveyed on the belt conveyor 12 in the next process, and falls to the rear end side of the pulley 13. At this time, since the pulley 13 is made of a neodymium-based rare earth magnet, which is a strong magnet, the crushed material that is not attracted by the magnetic force falls as it is. Is transported to the vicinity of the lowermost end of the endless belt while adhering to the endless belt. For this reason, metal pieces such as injection needles and other crushed materials are easily separated.
[0018]
At the downstream end of the pulley 13, a partition plate 14 for adjusting the accuracy of the separation is provided. The gap between the belt conveyor 12 and the belt conveyor 12 is adjusted at an angle α, and the accuracy of the separation between the injection needle and other medical waste is adjusted. To be appropriate. Metals such as injection needles that have adhered to the belt conveyor 12 with magnetic force fall naturally as the magnet pulley 13 and the belt conveyor 12 are separated.
[0019]
In the present embodiment, the operation specifications that can separate metal pieces such as injection needles from medical waste by 95% or more are as follows:
(1) Moisture content in medical waste: 5 to 15% (mass ratio) ... see Fig. 3 (2) Vibration feeder specifications: amplitude 1.5 mm, frequency 60 Hz
{Circle around (3)} Belt conveyor speed: 30 m / min... See FIG. 4. {4} Partition plate: angle 0 to 4 °...
[0020]
FIG. 3 shows the fractionation rate based on the amount of water contained in the medical waste. When the water content was 5 to 15%, the fractionation rate of the injection needle was 95% or more. FIG. 4 shows a sorting rate depending on the speed of the belt conveyor. When the belt conveyor speed was about 30 m / min, the injection needle separation rate was 95% or more. FIG. 5 shows the relationship between the angle of the partition plate and the sorting rate. When the angle of the partition plate was 0 to 4 °, the fractionation rate of the injection needle was 95% or more, and the mixing rate of the nonmagnetic material was 5% or less.
[0021]
Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. This example is a very simple method in which a hanging magnet 22 is disposed above a belt conveyor 21 installed at the subsequent stage of a vibration feeder, and metal pieces such as injection needles on the belt conveyor 21 are separated. When the injection needle is in a state of being separated from other crushed materials, effective separation is possible.
[0022]
The reason for using a neodymium rare earth magnet in each of the above embodiments is that the magnetic force is strong and that no electromagnetic waves are generated. For example, a separation apparatus using an electromagnet is not suitable for use in a hospital because electromagnetic waves may be generated and malfunction of an electronic medical device or the like may occur.
[0023]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to easily separate 95% or more of the injection needle from the medical waste after sterilization in the hospital. This has the effect of reducing the number of infection accidents and reducing the collection price of the secondary treatment company.
