TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire, and more particularly to a pneumatic tire in which breaker edges are less likely to be damaged.
[0002]
[Prior art]
One of the serious damages of a tire is breaker edge damage (BEL: BREAKER EDGELOOSENSESS). There are several reasons for this damage, but one of the reasons is that the oil component of the tread migrates to the breaker part, and the breaker edge is damaged in the market due to the reduced strength of the breaker rubber. Can be considered. In particular, it is considered that BEL is likely to occur in an environment used under a high temperature and a high load, such as the Middle and Near East region, because the transfer of oil is promoted.
[0003]
As a countermeasure against BEL, several methods have been conventionally studied. For example, there are a method of increasing the gauge of the breaker tapping rubber, a method of using a tread with low heat generation and a small amount of oil, and a method of reducing oil transfer by winding a nylon band or the like.
[0004]
However, the method of increasing the gauge of the breaker tapping rubber has problems such as an increase in tire weight and an increase in tire cost. In addition, in a method using a tread with low heat generation and a small amount of oil, it is generally difficult to obtain a high performance (high grip) tread. In addition, the method of wrapping the band has a limit in reducing oil transfer.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire that can efficiently prevent the transfer of oil from a tread portion to a breaker portion.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
That is, the present invention has an oil-resistant rubber layer in a tread portion, and the oil-resistant rubber layer contains acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) having an acrylonitrile content of 25 to 50% and / or hydrogenated NBR in a rubber component. It relates to a pneumatic tire containing 50 to 75% by weight.
[0007]
In the pneumatic tire, the oil-resistant rubber layer is provided on the base tread portion, the thickness of the oil-resistant rubber layer is 1.0 to 2.0 mm, and is 1/4 or less of the thickness of the entire tread. Is preferred.
[0008]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
As shown in FIG. 1, a pneumatic tire generally has a tread 1 that comes into contact with the ground when traveling, and has a breaker 5 inside thereof. Further, an edge portion of the breaker 5 is covered with the band 4, and a carcass 6 and an inner liner 7 are laminated below the breaker 5.
[0009]
When the oil component in the tread portion migrates to the breaker portion, the strength of the breaker tapping rubber is reduced, which causes damage to the breaker edge. Therefore, in the present invention, the oil component is prevented from migrating to the breaker portion by providing an oil-resistant rubber layer on the tread portion. In the present invention, it is particularly preferable that the tread portion has a two-layer structure of a cap tread 2 and a base tread 3, and an oil-resistant rubber layer is provided on the base tread portion, as shown in FIG.
[0010]
The oil-resistant rubber layer in the present invention contains NBR and / or hydrogenated NBR as a rubber component. NBR and hydrogenated NBR have a property of hardly allowing oil components and the like in a rubber component to permeate. Therefore, the use of these rubbers as a base tread has a function of preventing the oil component of the cap rubber from being transferred to the breaker. The oil resistance of NBR and hydrogenated NBR depends on the amount of an acrylonitrile group, which is one of the constituent elements of the polymer. The higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the oil resistance.
[0011]
The acrylonitrile content of the NBR and / or hydrogenated NBR used in the present invention is 25 to 50%, preferably 35 to 50%. If the acrylonitrile content is less than 25%, sufficient oil resistance cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 50%, the adhesion to the cap tread tends to be impaired.
[0012]
The content of NBR and / or hydrogenated NBR is 50 to 75% by weight, preferably 60 to 70% by weight in the rubber component. When the content of NBR and / or hydrogenated NBR is less than 50% by weight, sufficient oil resistance cannot be exhibited, and when it exceeds 75% by weight, the adhesion to the cap tread is inhibited.
[0013]
The oil-resistant rubber layer in the present invention can contain, as rubber components, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), natural rubber (NR), butadiene rubber (BR), etc., in addition to the above-mentioned NBR and hydrogenated NBR. . Among them, SBR is preferred because of its excellent affinity with NBR.
[0014]
In addition, the oil-resistant rubber layer in the present invention can contain oil such as aroma oil and mineral oil, carbon black, and the like, in addition to the rubber component.
[0015]
When oil is contained, the oil content is preferably 10 to 30 parts by weight, more preferably 15 to 25 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the rubber component. If the oil content is less than 10 parts by weight, the processability of the rubber tends to be poor, and if it exceeds 30 parts by weight, the transfer amount of the oil tends to increase.
[0016]
When the oil-resistant rubber layer is used for the base tread portion, the thickness (base tread gauge) of the oil-resistant rubber layer is preferably 1.0 to 2.0 mm, more preferably 1.5 to 1.8 mm. If the thickness of the oil-resistant rubber layer is less than 1.0 mm, sufficient oil resistance tends not to be exhibited, and if it exceeds 2.0 mm, the bending resistance is poor, and if the base tread is exposed, the TGC performance may be poor. is there. TGC is an abbreviation of Tread Groove Cracking, and is a phenomenon in which the bottom of the tread groove is fatigued due to repeated strain, and cracks occur. A tread having a disadvantage in crack resistance is inferior in TGC performance.
[0017]
Further, the thickness of the oil-resistant rubber layer is preferably 1/4 or less of the total thickness of the tread, that is, the total of the thickness of the cap tread and the thickness of the base tread, and more preferably 1/8 to 1/4. If the thickness of the oil-resistant rubber layer is more than 1/4, the bending resistance is poor, so that when the base tread is exposed, there is a concern that the TGC performance is poor. If it is less than 1/8, there is a tendency that oil transfer cannot be sufficiently prevented.
[0018]
On the other hand, it is preferable to use a rubber layer containing, for example, NR, SBR, BR, or the like as a rubber component in the cap tread portion.
[0019]
Further, the rubber layer used in the cap tread portion can contain oil such as aroma oil and mineral oil, carbon black and the like in addition to the rubber component.
[0020]

[0022]
<Production method>
According to the composition shown in Table 1, a tread composed of a base tread and a cap tread having the gauges shown in Table 1 was produced. Specifically, after kneading in a Banbury, it was extruded in a tread extrusion line to produce a tread. A tire was manufactured by molding and vulcanizing the obtained tread.
[0023]
<Test method>
1) Measurement of Oil Transfer Degree Each tire was subjected to a heat aging test at 80 ° C. for 2 weeks to promote oil transfer. After that, the oil transfer amount (AE amount) to the breaker topping rubber was measured, and the AE amount increased by the transfer was defined as the oil transfer degree (unit:%). When the increased AE amount exceeds 2%, the possibility of BEL generation increases.
[0024]
<Test results>
In Example 1 in which an appropriate amount of NBR was added to the base tread, sufficient oil resistance was exhibited, and almost no oil migration was observed. On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1 in which the NBR content was as small as 40% by weight, sufficient oil resistance could not be exhibited, and the oil transfer amount was large.
[0025]
Although an appropriate amount of NBR was blended in the base tread, in Example 2 where the gauge of the base tread was thin, oil resistance was not sufficiently exhibited as compared with Example 1, and a slight migration of oil was observed.
[0026]
[Table 1]
[0027]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, the oil transfer amount from the tread portion to the breaker portion can be reduced by using an oil-resistant rubber layer made of NBR and / or hydrogenated NBR in the tread portion, particularly, the base tread portion. This can prevent the modulus of the breaker tapping rubber from decreasing. This can prevent the occurrence of BEL.
