Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kit for a watercolor painting which facilitates storage and has a storing constitution for storing various painting implements in an orderly system. <P>SOLUTION: The kit for the watercolor painting having a central main body, a palette which can be engaged removably with the central main body and various paintbrushes, is provided. The central main body has a plurality of water supply chambers inside. The palette comprises color supply portions bearing blocks of various colors. The color blocks are held in receptacle members fitted in a snapping manner in an opening part of the palette. The receptacle members have extension parts for facilitating removal and insertion thereof. In a working constitution, a guide positioned on the palette engages with a slit in the central main body and connects the palette with the main body. In the storing constitution, the palette is disengaged from the central main body and stored on the water supply chambers. The present invention relates generally to painting kits, and more particularly to watercolor kits for children.

Drawing with watercolors generally requires the use of a water container, a paintbrush with a bunch of hair at the tip, and a palette with various watercolors. BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 shows a preferred embodiment of a watercolor kit 10 according to the present invention. The kit 10 preferably includes a central body 12, a pallet 14 removably engageable with the central body 12, and a plurality of paintbrushes 16, 18, 20. The central body 12 is preferably formed of molded plastic and includes a water supply chamber 22 therein. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1-3, the kit 10 is adapted for one user and includes one pallet 14. The central body 12 has two water supply chambers 22 separated by a partition 21. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a single user kit includes a single pallet 14 and a single water supply chamber 22.
