【従来の技術】
従来、アナログ式の腕時計において、時差のある2つの地域の時刻を同時に表示することができるタイプとしては、いわゆるGMT機能を備えたものや、2つのムーブメントに対応した一対の文字盤および針を備えた各種の時差表示時計が一般に知られていたが、何れも機構が複雑化したり大型化を招くという欠点があり、かかる欠点を解消し得る時差表示時計として、特開2001−83265号公報に示すようなものが既に提案されている。

この公報記載の時差表示時計は、運針用モータにより回転駆動する秒針と、該秒針歯車の回転に基づき回転する分針歯車と、該分針の回転に従動する時針と、さらに該時針の回転に従動する時差表示用時針とを備えて成り、前記時差表示用時針のみを独自の回転駆動機構によって回転させることができるように構成したものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前述したような公報記載の時差表示時計では、時差表示用時針のみを回転させることができる回転駆動機構の構造が複雑であるため、部品点数が多くなり組付工数も増大して、過度のコストアップの要因になるという問題点があった。

また、時差表示用の時刻を修正する場合、使用者がリューズを回転させると、各種歯車を介して回転力が伝達され、最終的に時差表示用時針が回転して所望の時差時刻に合わせることができるが、ここで時差表示用時針は無段階に回転するので、通常は1時間単位で修正すれば足りるのに、実際には細かな分単位での修正を強いられることになり、修正操作が非常に煩わしくて面倒であった。

本発明は、以上のような従来技術が有する問題点に着目してなされたもので、構造が比較的簡易でありコスト低減が可能であり、しかも、時差の修正操作を極めて容易に行うことができ、時差のある2つの地域の時刻を一目で正確に読み取る時差表示時計を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前述した目的を達成するための本発明の要旨とするところは、以下の各項に存する。

前記副時針軸(20)を前記主時針軸(19)に対して従動可能に係合させると共に、該係合力に抗して一定角度ずつ間欠的に回転可能に軸支するための係脱軸受手段と、
外部操作手段(22)による操作力を、前記副時針軸(20)を回転させる方向に伝達可能で、前記外部操作手段(22)による一操作単位ごとに、前記係脱軸受手段による係合力に抗して前記副時針軸(20)を前記主時針軸(19)に対して一定角度ずつ回転させる副時針調整手段とを有することを特徴とする時差表示時計(10)。

前記本発明は次のように作用する。
本発明の係る時差表示時計(10)によれば、2本の時針である主時針(33)および副時針(34)により、時差のある2つの地域の時刻を同時に表示することができ、使用者は2つの時刻を一目で正確に読み取ることができる。主時針軸(19)は運針駆動手段(14)により回転駆動され、副時針軸(20)は前記主時針軸(19)に従動して一体となって回転するが、主時針(33)の時刻表示を何ら乱すことなく、主時針(33)に対して副時針(34)を任意の時差分に相当する所定角度に調整することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面に基づき本発明を代表する一の実施の形態を説明する。
図1〜図5は本発明の一実施の形態に係る時差表示時計10を示している。 本時差表示時計10は、バンドないしブレスレットを別途装着して腕時計として構成してもよく、また、壁掛け時計として構成してもよい。

図1および図2に示すように、時差表示時計10は、2本の時針である主時針33および副時針34と、主時針34が一体に支持されて運針駆動手段により回転駆動される主時針軸19と、前記副時針34が一体に支持されて前記主時針軸19に軸支され、該主時針軸19に従動して一体に回転する副時針軸20とを備えている。

本時差表示時計10によれば、2本の時針である主時針33および副時針34により、時差のある2つの地域の時刻を同時に表示することができ、使用者は2つの時刻を一目で正確に読み取ることができる。具体的には例えば、図4においては、東京とパリの時刻を表示している。東京とパリの時差は8時間(ただしサマータイムを除く。)であり、先行している東京の時刻は主時針33が示す午前10時であり、8時間遅いパリの時刻は副時針34が示す午前2時となる。
