【0003】
例えば、人工衛星からの電波を受信し位置を測定する技術として、GPS(すなわちGrobal Positioning System)が挙げられる。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mobile position reporting device that reports the position of a moving object that is a positioning target, and in particular, carries this device when performing work such as a service person or a security guard, and notifies the position of each person. Mobile location reporting suitable for use in services that provide information about the location of a mobile device, or for use in a business support system that uses location information to promptly dispatch and deploy personnel by grasping the positional relationship of each person Related to the device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, it has received radio waves from satellite and mobile phone base stations and PHS base stations, and measured the position (latitude and longitude) of the positioning target by using the required time and intensity of multiple radio waves, Positioning technology that identifies and uses the position of the position to be measured is used in transportation systems such as car navigation and bus locators, man location systems such as helping salesmen and searching for wandering elderly people, and tracking valuables and cash transport vehicles. It has been put to practical use in security systems.
[0003]
For example, GPS (that is, Global Positioning System) is a technique for receiving a radio wave from an artificial satellite and measuring the position. This GPS is a global radio positioning system using artificial satellites. 24 satellites are arranged on each of 6 orbit planes, and in principle, radio waves from each satellite are received, The distance between the satellite and the receiving point is calculated from the arrival time, and finally the three-dimensional positioning (that is, latitude, longitude, and altitude) of the receiving point can be obtained.
[0004]
Also, as a technology for receiving a radio wave from a mobile phone base station or a PHS base station and measuring the position, a technology for measuring the position using the position of the mobile phone base station with which the mobile phone is currently communicating is used. The mobile phone or the device to be located receives radio waves from a plurality of base stations, and the strength of the radio waves from the plurality of base stations and the time required for the arrival of the radio waves are used to obtain the There are techniques for measuring position.
[0005]
Further, in recent mobile phones and mobile terminals, a positioning service using only the positioning technology based on the GPS and a positioning service that receives a radio wave from the base station of the mobile phone or the base station of the PHS to measure the position. Services and positioning services that use both of the above positioning technologies simultaneously are provided. As a positioning service using only positioning technology by GPS, there is a pedestrian navigation service “Doko Navi” provided by NTT DOCOMO, Inc., which uses radio waves from a base station of a mobile phone and a base station of a PHS. Examples of positioning services include NTT DOCOMO's "i-Area" and "Imaido Service", and J-Phone Corporation's "J-Sky Station". As a positioning service that uses both of the above positioning technologies simultaneously, “GpsOne” of KDDI CORPORATION is provided. Further, as an example of performing navigation and position search using these positioning services, application methods such as those described in JP-A-2000-249565 and JP-A-9-53957 have been proposed.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the above-described conventional technology, when providing a positioning service, a device that realizes a positioning function in a mobile phone is provided for the purpose of improving convenience by carrying it together with a communication / call function of the mobile phone. Products with a built-in system that operates by sharing power with the communication / communication function portion of a mobile phone have appeared. However, in this method, in addition to the power consumption of the device of the ordinary mobile phone, the power consumption of the device performing the positioning function is added, so that a situation in which the available time of the mobile phone is shortened occurs. In order to reduce the size of batteries and the like accompanying the downsizing of mobile phones, improvements for reducing the total power consumption are required.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described situation in the related art, and has as its object to reduce the total power consumption when providing a positioning service for notifying the position of a mobile object to be positioned. It is an object of the present invention to provide a mobile object position notification device that can perform the operation.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention according to claim 1 of the present invention provides positioning control means for executing positioning at a predetermined positioning interval, GPS radio waves and communication base station radio waves by controlling the positioning control means. A moving body position comprising: a positioning execution means for measuring the current position in combination; a communication means for notifying the current position measured by the positioning execution means to the outside; and a state input means for inputting information on the state of the positioning target. In the notification device, at least one of information on the state of the positioning target input from the state input unit, positioning accuracy information obtained from the positioning execution unit, and communication availability information obtained from the communication unit. The apparatus is provided with positioning interval storage means for storing the predetermined positioning interval set based on information.
[0009]
In the invention according to claim 1 configured as described above, information on the state of the positioning target is input from the state input unit, positioning accuracy information is input from the positioning execution unit, and communication availability information is input from the communication unit. Based on at least one of these pieces of information, the positioning interval is set by the positioning control unit and stored in the positioning interval storage unit. Next, the current position is measured by the positioning executing means at the above-mentioned positioning interval under the control of the positioning control means, and the current position is notified to the outside by the communication means.
[0010]
In the present invention configured as described above, when the positioning target does not move, or when the positioning accuracy is deteriorated, the communication state is deteriorated, or the like, the positioning interval is set relatively long so that the current position can be determined by the positioning execution means. Can be reduced, and unnecessary positioning operation can be omitted, whereby total power consumption can be reduced when providing a positioning service for notifying the position of the mobile object to be positioned.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the mobile object position notification device of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0012]
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a mobile object position notification device according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing a processing procedure of this embodiment, FIG. 3 is a time chart for explaining the operation of this embodiment, FIG. FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an example of a state input unit provided in the present embodiment.
[0013]
The mobile object position notification device 1 of the present embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1 has a function of measuring the position of a mobile object to be measured using a GPS 9 or a mobile phone / PHS system 10 and reporting the position to a positioning center 6. The mobile object position notification device 1 is carried by a serviceman, a security person, or the like, which is a positioning target, and the service person, security person, or the like starts the business. After turning on the power of the device 1, the user always carries the device during work and operates and reports the work type and work status by operating the mobile object position notification device 1 at the start and end of work at the customer. ing.
[0014]
In addition, the mobile object position notification device 1 supplies power to the positioning execution means 2, the positioning control means 3, the positioning interval storage means 3a, the communication means 4, the state input means 5, a call function (not shown), and each unit. And a battery (not shown).
[0015]
The positioning executing means 2 receives radio waves from the GPS satellites 9a to 9c of the GPS 9 and radio waves from the base stations 10a to 10c of the mobile phone / PHS system 10, and carries out the mobile body position reporting device 1, It provides the position (latitude, longitude) of the security guard, the positioning date and time, and the accuracy of the positioning. As an example that satisfies this function, "gpsOne" of KDDI CORPORATION is given. The “gpsOne” indicates the expected positioning error and the positioning method (for example, positioning using only GPS radio waves, GPS radio waves and base station radio waves) when positioning is completed, along with the position of the moving object and the positioning date and time, as positioning accuracy. Is used as the present embodiment because it has a function to provide triangulation using only base station radio waves, use of base station radio wave intensity, and the like.
[0016]
The positioning control means 3 controls the positioning execution of the positioning execution means 2, reads the positioning result, controls the communication execution of the communication means 4, and reads and evaluates the communication execution state. As a method of this evaluation, there are a method of determining an expected positioning error by a predetermined threshold value, a method of evaluating by a positioning method, and a method of using both. Assuming that the estimated positioning error described above is a predetermined threshold, a nominal GPS accuracy of 10 m, or a distance determined to be inside a building, for example, 50 m, is considered. In addition, as a method of evaluating by a positioning method, GPS positioning having relatively high positioning accuracy and positioning using both GPS and base station radio waves are judged to be good in positioning accuracy, and positioning using only base station radio waves with a low positioning system is performed. There is a method of determining positioning based on the intensity of radio waves of a base station as poor positioning accuracy. However, even with positioning using only GPS, a large measurement error may occur depending on the arrangement of the GPS satellites 9a to 9c on the sky and reception conditions, so it is desirable to use both methods together.
[0017]
The positioning interval storage means 3a stores intervals at which positioning is performed by the mobile object position reporting device 1, and has a function of maintaining a predetermined positioning interval while the power is turned on. For example, the positioning interval during movement of a service person or the like carrying the mobile object position reporting device 1 is set to 5 minutes, while the work, when the positioning accuracy is reduced, and when communication is poor (for example, when a radio wave from a mobile phone or PHS arrives). (When there is no underground, etc.), it is unnecessary to perform positioning at the same positioning interval as when moving outdoors, so that the positioning interval is set to a longer time than the setting during movement, for example, 15 minutes. Has become.
[0018]
The communication means 4 has a function of communicating with the positioning center 6 via the mobile phone / PHS system 10 or a public wireless LAN system (not shown), and transmitting the positioning result and the state of the mobile unit. Further, from the communication means 4, it is possible to read out the current radio wave intensity from the base station and information as to whether communication with the base station is possible or not as the communication availability information.
[0019]
The status input means 5 is used by a service person or the like carrying the mobile object position notification device 1 to input a work status by using, for example, a mobile phone. Then, an input screen 50 shown in FIG. 4 is displayed. On this input screen 50, a work type input item 51 for inputting the type of the current work, a customer number input item 52 for inputting information of the work destination (customer No. and the like), and a work for inputting the state of the work or moving It includes a status input item 53, a personal information input item 54 for inputting information for specifying an individual having the mobile object position notification device 1, and a report button 55 for instructing a report. When a state of working or moving is input by the work state input item 53, the power of the mobile object position reporting device 1 is turned on, and the moving state is set immediately after the operation is started. By pressing the report button 55, the positioning / reporting operation is executed only once, asynchronously with the execution operation executed after the power is turned on.
[0020]
The positioning center 6 has a function of providing and managing position information of a service person or the like who carries the mobile object position notification device 1. The positioning center 6 has a recording unit 7 for recording positioning results and information on work status. And a display unit 8 having a function of displaying the position of a service person or the like on a map, for example, using the information of the recording unit 7.
[0021]
In the mobile position reporting device 1 of this embodiment, the position of a serviceman or the like to be located is reported according to the processing procedure shown in FIG. That is, first, in step S1, when the power of the mobile object position notification device 1 is turned on, the positioning control means 3 reads out the current work state from the state input means 5 and, for example, displays "work" in the work state input item 53 of the input screen 50. The status of "middle" or "moving" is displayed. Therefore, when a service person or the like selects and inputs the "moving" field in step S2, it is determined that the current work state is not working (that is, moving), and in step S3, the position is stored in the positioning interval storage means 3a. On the other hand, a normal positioning interval (5 minutes) during movement is set.
[0022]
On the other hand, in step S2, when the service person or the like selects and inputs the “work in progress” field, in step S4, since the service person or the like is working in a predetermined building or district, frequent positioning is performed thereafter. Is determined to be unnecessary, and a positioning interval of, for example, 15 minutes is set in the positioning interval storage means 3a.
[0023]
Next, in step S5, the positioning control unit 3 instructs the positioning execution unit 2 to perform the positioning operation, and the positioning execution unit 2 performs the positioning operation using, for example, the GPS 9 or the mobile phone / PHS system 10. . Here, when positioning is performed using “gpsOne”, which is the above-described positioning technique, the positioning result includes the position (latitude and longitude), the positioning date and time, the expected positioning error as the positioning accuracy, and the positioning method. Is obtained as a positioning result. Next, in step S6, the positioning control means 3 evaluates the positioning accuracy based on the positioning result obtained in step S5, and when it is determined that the positioning accuracy is not good, a normal step S7 is performed. Since it is unnecessary to perform positioning at the same positioning interval as when moving outdoors, the positioning interval is set to a longer time than the initial setting, for example, 15 minutes.
[0024]
Next, in step S8, the positioning control means 3 edits the current work state obtained in step S2 and the positioning result obtained in step S5 into a state suitable for communication, and directs the communication means 4 to the positioning center 6. Instruct to send. If communication is not possible from the communication means 4, it is determined in step S9 that the mobile phone or the PHS is underground where radio waves of the PHS do not reach, and in step S10, the same positioning as in normal outdoor movement is performed. Since positioning at intervals is unnecessary, the positioning interval is set to a longer time than the initial setting, for example, 15 minutes.
[0025]
After performing the above-described steps S1 to S10, in step S11, when the start state of the operation of the flowchart (start by turning on the power or start by the report button 55) is determined, and it is determined that the operation is started by turning on the power. In step S12, the positioning control unit 3 reads the positioning interval (5 minutes or 15 minutes) set in steps S1 to S10 from the positioning interval storage unit 3a, waits for the set positioning interval time, The procedure returns to step S1 again and repeats the processing of steps S1 to S10. If it is determined in step S11 that the activation was performed by the report button 55, the positioning / communication operation is performed only once, and the series of processes is terminated. Therefore, the positioning interval according to the situation at the time of activation by the report button 55 is set in the positioning interval storage unit 3a.
[0026]
Further, an example of the positioning operation according to the flowchart of FIG. 2 will be described with reference to a time chart of FIG. That is, when the service person or the like turns on the power of the mobile position reporting device 1 after starting work and moves outdoors to the work destination during the period t1, the mobile position reporting device 1 performs the steps S1 to S3, S5, Steps S6, S8, S9, S11, and S12 are repeatedly executed, and five minutes are set in the positioning interval storage means 3a. Thus, the positioning is performed at five-minute intervals and the position is reported. The position of a service person or the like can be tracked in detail.
[0027]
Next, when the service person or the like moves into the subway or underground mall during the period t2 while moving, the mobile position reporting device 1 performs the procedures S1 to S3, S5 to S9, S11, and S12 (positioning accuracy has deteriorated). Or the case where positioning was impossible) or the procedures S1 to S3, S5, S6 and S8 to S12 (when positioning was performed but communication with the positioning center 6 was not possible), and As a result, positioning is performed at a longer interval (15 minutes) than when moving outdoors.
[0028]
Next, when the service person or the like moves out of the underground mall or subway during the period t3 and moves out of the underground mall or subway, the first operation after leaving the underground mall or the subway moves to the positioning interval storage unit 3a in the same manner as in the period t1. Since five minutes are set and the position is reported at the five-minute intervals and the position is reported, the position of the moving serviceman or the like can be tracked in detail at the positioning center 6 again.
[0029]
Next, when the service person arrives at the work place, the current work state is input as “working” in the work state input item 53 of the input screen 50 by the state input means 5, and the report button 55 is pressed. Press to report business. With this operation, the mobile object position notification device 1 executes the processing of the procedures S1, S2, S4 to S6, S8, S9, and S11 once, and sets 15 minutes in the positioning interval storage unit 3a. Therefore, in the subsequent period t4, the positioning is stored in the positioning interval storage means 3a at 15 minutes by automatic execution of the flowchart, so that positioning is performed at intervals of 15 minutes and the position is reported.
[0030]
When the work is completed in this way and the user goes to the next site, the service person or the like inputs the current work state from the state input means 5 as “moving” in the work state input item 53 of the input screen 50, By pressing the report button 55, a business report is made. With this operation, the mobile object position reporting device 1 executes the processes of steps S1 to S3, S5, S6, S8, S9, and S11 once, and sets 5 minutes in the positioning interval storage unit 3a. Therefore, in the subsequent period t5, the automatic execution of the flowchart sets 5 minutes in the positioning interval storage means 3a, so that positioning is performed at 5 minute intervals and the position is reported.
[0031]
Similarly, if the positioning accuracy is deteriorated during the period t6 during indoor movement or communication becomes impossible, the positioning interval becomes 15 minutes, and the positioning interval returns to 5 minutes during the period t7 when moving outdoors. Thereafter, during the work period t8, the positioning interval becomes 15 minutes by operating the report button 55, and the positioning interval returns to 5 minutes in the period t9 during the outdoor movement after the work is completed.
[0032]
In the present embodiment configured as described above, the time interval of the positioning is automatically set according to the work situation of the service person or the security guard who carries the mobile object position reporting device 1, the accuracy at the time of performing the positioning, and the communication state. In addition, it is possible to report the positioning and the work status at the optimum positioning interval according to the situation. By this operation, compared to the positioning operation of the mobile object position notification device having the conventional configuration, the mobile object position notification device 1 is useless when the positioning target does not move, the positioning accuracy is deteriorated, and the communication state is deteriorated. The positioning operation can be largely omitted.
[0033]
In the present embodiment, the case where the positioning interval during movement is set as 5 minutes, and the positioning intervals during operation, when the positioning accuracy is reduced, and when communication is poor is set as 15 minutes, respectively, is exemplified. May be changed according to the moving speed and the working time of the positioning target. For example, when the positioning target moves by means of transportation other than walking, by setting the positioning time during the movement shorter than 5 minutes, it is possible to track in more detail. Further, when the average work duration at the work destination is several hours, the positioning interval during the work may be changed to 30 minutes or the like.
[0034]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when the positioning target does not move, or when the positioning accuracy is deteriorated, the useless positioning operation in the case where the communication state is deteriorated can be largely omitted, so that the positioning target is used. It is possible to reduce the total power consumption when providing a positioning service for notifying the position of the moving object. Therefore, there is an effect that long-term operation of a mobile phone or a portable communication device including a mobile object position notification device and downsizing of a battery are enabled.
