本発明は、ビデオデータの記録および再生を行う記録再生装置、およびビデオデータの記録されたビデオファイルの再生方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、テレビ放送等によるビデオデータを記録するために、データを高速に記録再生することが可能な記録媒体であるハードディスク装置（ＨＤＤ）を用いた記録再生装置が開発されている。この記録再生装置では、受信したビデオデータを例えば国際標準規格であるＭＰＥＧ２（Ｍｏｖｉｎｇ Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅ Ｅｘｐｅｒｔｓ Ｇｒｏｕｐ ２）等の圧縮方式によって符号化し、記録再生装置に記録する。また、このように記録再生装置に記録されたビデオデータを復号化して再生し、テレビ等のモニタに表示している。

従来、上記のような記録再生装置では、記録したビデオデータをビデオファイルとして管理しており、再生を行う際は、記録されているビデオファイルのファイル名や時間等が表示された一覧画面より目的とするビデオファイルを選択して再生を行っている。ところで、ビデオファイルのファイル名は、ユーザがビデオデータの記録時やその後で適宜変更しない限り、例えば「ＯＴＲ１」、「ＯＴＲ２」というようにあらかじめ設定されたファイル名に番号が付加されたものである。このため、ユーザが目的とするビデオファイルを選択して再生する際、目的とするビデオファイルを探しにくく、もし目的とは違ったビデオファイルを再生してしまうと、再度一覧画面を表示させて選択し直さなければならなかった。

しかしながら、上記のようなデジタル記録再生装置では、カーソルを移動させると現在行われている早送り再生を中止し、カーソルの移動先のビデオファイルを早送り再生するようになっている。このため、例えば後のほうに表示されているビデオファイルを選択しようとすると、カーソルが１つ１つ移動するたびに一時的ではあるがカーソルの移動先のビデオファイルをそれぞれ早送り再生しようと動作することになる。

【発明の実施の形態】
図１は本発明に係る記録再生装置の一実施の形態の概略構成を示すブロック図であり、以下、この記録再生装置およびこの記録再生装置におけるビデオファイルの再生方法について図面に基づいて説明する。
