Abstract
Description
【0001】

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a secondary refrigerant refrigeration apparatus and a secondary refrigerant used therein.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As shown in FIG. 7, the refrigeration apparatus is composed of four basic devices, a
[0003]
Small refrigeration equipment such as a home refrigeration refrigerator and a vehicle air conditioner adopt a direct cooling type refrigeration system, and perform cooling only with a primary refrigerant using freon gas.
[0004]
Conventionally, it was common sense to use freon gas as the primary refrigerant of the direct cooling refrigeration system. However, due to the problem of destruction of the ozone layer, it could be replaced with alternative products, and various studies were conducted. There is no proposal for a new substance in the future, and the situation is that ammonia used before freon gas or highly flammable LPG gas (propane or butane gas) has been replaced.
[0005]
In particular, from the viewpoint of the danger of ignition, the situation is such that ammonia gas, which has a low danger of ignition, becomes mainstream.
[0006]
【task to solve】
However, if ammonia gas leaks, the toxic danger is very significant.
Therefore, it is thought that finding a method for using LPG gas and ammonia as safely as possible will greatly contribute to the replacement of CFC gas.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has as its object to propose a method for using LPG gas or ammonia as a secondary refrigerant with high safety.
[0008]
【Constitution】
In response to this object, the secondary refrigerant refrigeration apparatus of the present invention causes the primary refrigerant cooled by the refrigerator to exchange heat with the secondary refrigerant in the heat exchange section, and cools the object to be cooled by the secondary refrigerant. The refrigeration apparatus is characterized in that the secondary refrigerant is gelled and fixed.
[0009]
Further, the secondary refrigerant of the secondary refrigerant refrigeration apparatus of the present invention contains water, glycol and additives, and is characterized in that it is gelled.
[0010]
Embodiment
Hereinafter, the details of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings showing one embodiment.

The additive is one or more of a gelling agent, an antioxidant, a metal rust inhibitor, an antifoaming agent, a Ph adjuster, a porous inorganic substance, and a surface tension reducing agent. Gelling agents are synthetic or natural water-soluble resins. Acrylic acid is an example of such a water-soluble resin, and commercially available products thereof include, for example, “AQUA KEEP (manufactured by Iron Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.)” and “Aqualic CA (trademark) Nippon Shokubai Chemical Industry” Manufactured by a corporation.
[0019]
The porous inorganic substance gives the jelly strength of the secondary refrigerant and gives the composition uniformity. Examples of the material include activated clay, diatomaceous earth, zeolite, silica gel, calcium carbonate and the like.
[0020]
The mixing ratio of water and glycol is a glycol concentration of 25 to 75% by volume, preferably the mixing ratio of water and glycol is a glycol concentration of 35 to 60% by volume, and more preferably, the mixing ratio of water and glycol is The ratio is a glycol concentration of 50 to 60% by volume.
[0021]
Of propylene glycol and ethylene glycol, propylene glycol is designated as a food additive and causes no harm if leaked, but ethylene glycol is designated as a first-class designated chemical and is a carcinogen during the decomposition process. It is supposed to be.
[0022]
Ethylene glycol is mass-produced for industrial use and inexpensive. There is no significant difference in the effects of propylene glycol and ethylene glycol as refrigerants.
[0023]
Currently, ethylene glycol is the main component of automotive coolants (coolants) that are currently produced and used in large quantities in the world.
[0024]
Even in the case of coolant, it is becoming a problem that it is disposed of in large quantities every year, and various measures have been considered. . Separate use development is required. We hope that this proposal will help solve this problem.
[0025]
Next, FIG. 6 schematically shows a production process in a case where this secondary refrigerant is produced in a laboratory. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, first, a
[0026]
Next, the water-absorbing
[0027]
The above operation is performed at room temperature. The mixture of water, glycol, additives, water-absorbing acrylic polymer, and porous inorganic substance gradually becomes a substance in a gel state with stirring (FIG. 6E). Thereby, the
[0028]
Next, properties of the gelled glycol as the secondary refrigerant will be described.
[0029]
As described above, the contents of the secondary refrigerant are water, glycol and necessary additives. Necessary additives include a gelling agent, an antioxidant, a metal rust inhibitor, a defoaming agent, and a pH adjuster. , Or a combination of all or part of a porous inorganic material.
[0030]
Although there is no difference between synthetic and natural gelling agents, acrylic acid and its derivatives are advantageous in terms of cost.
[0031]
In order to protect the pipe of the primary cooling mechanism in the
[0032]
The porous inorganic substance has the effects of promoting gelation, making water uniform, and preventing the gel from being shaded during gel molding.
[0033]
Observing the properties of the gel at low temperature, if the glycol concentration is 50% or more (water 50: glycol 50 volume ratio) or more, the gel freezes even at a low temperature of −40 ° C. and does not become hard.
[0034]
Therefore, in order to enhance the safety as a secondary refrigerant, it is better to maintain the glycol concentration at 50 to 60%.
[0035]
When observing the stability of the gelled secondary refrigerant, when all of the above-mentioned additives were added, no change was observed even after 3 years when the container was sealed in a glass container at normal temperature and normal pressure and left indoors. Was.
[0036]
Acrylic acid-based water-soluble resins generally have the property of decomposing by light, and gel substances dissolved in water and gelled will return to liquid in 6 to 10 hours when exposed to sunlight. When glycol and additives are added, it does not decompose at all.
[0037]
Also, it is not possible to remove glycol from the gelled substance by heating under reduced pressure. When heated and pressurized, glycol is slightly separated, but the yield is extremely poor.
[0038]
The resulting gel is stable.
[0039]
As for the gelled glycol, we had been studying how to use the used coolant waste liquid as a cryogen for the cool box for transportation at first, so we had been observing its properties from an early stage.
[0040]
Next, consideration of the suitability of the gelled glycol for the refrigerant will be described.
(1) Definition of gelling glycol Gelling glycol refers to a substance obtained by adding a necessary additive to a mixture of water and glycol and gelling with a gelling agent.
[0041]
As the type of glycol, ethylene glycol or propylene glycol is generally used.
[0042]
In some cases, a part of the glycol is replaced with a glycol ether.
[0043]
The reason is that when a part of glycol is replaced with glycol ether, the adhesion of the gelled substance to the wall surface is improved.
[0044]
The additive is a rust preventive and antioxidant for the gelled product and a surface tension reducing agent.
(2) An example of a general formulation is as follows.
[0045]
(1) 35% gelled water based on ethylene glycol
55% ethylene glycol

The conventional common-sense secondary refrigerant system is a system in which the refrigerant is a primary and secondary co-liquid, the secondary refrigerant is cooled by the primary refrigerant through a heat exchanger, and sent to the required place by a pump. Used in freezing and refrigeration equipment.
[0048]
Such a conventional system is suitable for large-scale facilities, but is unsuitable for small-scale facilities because the machine volume is large.
[0049]
According to the present invention, the secondary refrigerant is fixed in a gel or julie state and is kept stationary, and the primary refrigerant is circulated inside the secondary refrigerant, so that the installed capacity is hardly increased.
[0050]
The system proposed this time is a system in which the pipe circuit of the primary refrigerant is fixed in a gel or julie shape and sealed in a pipe-shaped or thin box-shaped container filled with the secondary refrigerant.
[0051]
The structure of the secondary refrigerant is water, glycol and necessary additives, and glycol is a relatively inexpensive and mass-produced substance such as ethylene glycol and propylene glycol.
[0052]
In a refrigerator for food, only propylene glycol is used as a glycol from the viewpoint of safety. For other purposes, ethylene glycol can be used.
[0053]
The secondary refrigerant layer may be doubled, and the inner layer may be loaded with a gelling substance of ethylene glycol and the outer layer may be loaded with a gelling substance of propylene glycol.
[0054]
Among the necessary additives, the gelling agent is a synthetic or natural water-soluble resin. Acrylic acid and its derivatives are typical in synthesis, and alginic acid and the like are typical in nature. The mixing ratio of water and glycol is generally a glycol concentration of 35 to 60%.
[0055]
Other additives include all or some combinations of antioxidants, metal rust inhibitors, defoamers, pH adjusters, porous inorganic substances, and the like.
[0056]
Improve the thermal conductivity by appropriately arranging a foil or wire with good thermal conductivity such as aluminum, copper, silver, etc. in the pipe circuit of the primary refrigerant or the housing of the pipe-like or thin box-like gel-like substance. Can be done.
[0057]
By mounting fins on the housing of the secondary refrigerant exterior, the cooling area can be increased.
[0058]
Also, by making the pipes of the primary cooling device sparse or dense, it is possible to continuously perform wall cooling or centralized cooling.
[0059]
Conventionally, it has been understood that the secondary refrigerant is the same as the primary refrigerant as the primary refrigerant. However, in the case of small refrigerators, the secondary refrigerant is gelled and fixed, so that the pipe of the primary refrigerant is not exposed to the space. The phenomenon can prevent the adhesion of moisture.
[0060]
When a refrigerant such as ammonia or LPG which has a problem in safety has to be used as in recent years, it is an epoch-making method as a means for improving the safety of the refrigerant.
[0061]
When cooling directly with the primary refrigerant, the difference between the cooling temperature and the temperature of the surface of the primary refrigerant pipe is necessary and the water and ice on the cooling pipe easily occur. However, if the cooling is performed via the secondary refrigerant, the cooling area is reduced. By spreading, water adhesion preventing processing can be easily performed on the device.
[0062]
It is imminent that freon gas can no longer be used due to recent environmental problems, and he pointed out that ammonia and LPG are serious problems from the viewpoint of safety.
[0063]
At present, there is no substitute substance having a performance comparable to that of chlorofluorocarbon gas, and the development of a method for dramatically improving the safety of ammonia and LPG is very significant.
[0064]
Since water and glycol are incorporated in the secondary refrigerant composition, no chemical reaction occurs even if the refrigerant ammonia or LPG leaks from the primary refrigerant, and a detection system must be installed in the secondary refrigerant housing. Thus, the safety is further improved.
[0065]
When used in a household refrigerator or the like, propylene glycol is used as a secondary refrigerant from the viewpoint of ensuring safety.
[0066]
When a large-sized refrigeration equipment is used, the secondary refrigerant has two layers, the part in contact with the primary refrigerant is a refrigerant using ethylene glycol, and the outer layer is a refrigerant using propylene glycol.
