【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、メール配信アウトソーシングシステム,メール配信アウトソーシング方法及びメール配信アウトソーシングプログラムに関し、顧客(メール受信者)にとっては、インターネットなどの通信回線を利用して指定した企業からの情報(電子メール)だけを受信でき、情報を自らメール配信していた企業にとっては、メール配信業務をメール配信アウトソーシング会社に委託できるとともに、メール配信アウトソーシング会社からマーケティング情報を入手できるメール配信アウトソーシングのシステム,その方法及びそのプログラムに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、インターネットの普及とともに、顧客に対する広告などの情報提供の手段として、ダイレクトメールによる情報提供が行われるようになってきた。
また、顧客に広告などの情報を提供する企業が、関心のある顧客を選出してダイレクトメールを配信するダイレクトメールシステムなど様々な技術が開発されている。

例えば、特開2002−24125号公報において、広告主が、個々の顧客にあった広告をタイミング良く打つことができるダイレクトメールシステムの技術が提案されている。
このシステムは、図10に示すように、広告会社Aによる管理組織A’により管理・運営されている。この管理組織A’は、インターネット100に接続されているサーバ102を有している。

このシステムでは、まず、広告主Xからは、電子メールによる広告のダイレクトメールの送付依頼をクライアント110で受け付け、一方、顧客Yからは所定の広告を送って欲しい旨の受理希望を顧客側のクライアント120で受け付けるようになっている。
そして、サーバ102では、これら双方から受け付けた広告依頼と受理希望の結びつけをして、結びついた顧客の携帯電話130にその広告のダイレクトメールを電子メールで送る構成としてある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記ダイレクトメールシステムの技術は、各広告主(企業など)の希望にマッチする顧客を選出してメール配信を行うことができるものの、顧客にとっては、メール配信を行う広告主を指定することができなかった。
このため、特定の企業からダイレクトメールがあることを期待して登録した顧客にとっては、希望する企業からダイレクトメールが配信されなかったり、情報の提供を希望していない企業からたくさんのメールが配信される場合があり、顧客の要望に的確に応えることができないといった問題があった。

また、各顧客に電子メールを配信する企業にとっては、顧客管理やメール配信管理を行うワークステーション・サーバ等の情報処理装置の調達や、これらの装置にかかる保守作業などのインフラ環境を整備する必要があるが、技術が急速に進歩している通信・情報処理技術に対応して行くことは容易でなく、結果的に、上述のような従来システムでは、効率良く電子メールを配信することができないといった問題があった。

さらに、メール配信を行う企業では、広告効率を向上させたり、マーケティングを効率良く行うために、ダイレクトメールをより有効に活用したいといった要求があるが、上述の従来システムでは、希望しない企業からダイレクトメールを配信された顧客が、ダイレクトメールを開封しないで消去してしまうこともあり、このような要請に応えることが困難であった。

本発明は、上記の問題を解決すべくなされたものであり、顧客にとっては、インターネットなどの通信回線を利用して指定した企業からの情報だけを受信でき、情報を自らメール配信していた企業にとっては、メール配信業務をメール配信アウトソーシング会社に委託できるとともに、メール配信アウトソーシング会社からマーケティング情報を入手できるメール配信アウトソーシングシステム,メール配信アウトソーシング方法及びメール配信アウトソーシングプログラムの提供を目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この目的を達成するため、本発明の請求項1記載のメール配信アウトソーシングシステムは、顧客へ提供する情報のメール配信業務を委託した企業が使用する企業端末と、メール配信される前記情報を提供する前記企業を指定するとともに、メールアドレスを含む個人情報を登録する前記顧客が使用する顧客端末と、前記顧客端末及び前記企業端末を相互に接続する通信回線と、この通信回線を介して前記企業端末及び前記顧客端末と相互に接続するとともに、前記顧客の個人情報に関する顧客データベースを備え、前記企業からメール配信業務を委託されたメール配信アウトソーシング会社が使用する情報処理端末とを具備した構成としてある。

このようにすると、メールは、アウトソーシング会社の情報処理端末を介して、指定した企業からのメール配信を希望する顧客に配信される。
これにより、顧客は、希望する企業からの情報だけを受信することができ、希望しない企業などからたくさんの電子メールが配信されるといった不具合を防止することができる。
また、電子メールを自ら配信していた企業にとっては、メール配信業務をメール配信アウトソーシング会社に委託できるので、効率良く電子メールを配信することができる。

また、請求項2記載の発明は、上記請求項1記載のメール配信アウトソーシングシステムにおいて、前記企業端末及び/又は前記情報処理端末が、前記通信回線上に、前記顧客の個人情報を登録するホームページを掲載した構成としてある。
このようにすると、ホームページを利用して容易に個人情報を登録することができる。また、このホームページは、企業が掲載したホームページであってもよく、顧客にとってアクセス手段が増え好都合である。

また、請求項3記載の発明は、上記請求項1又は2記載のメール配信アウトソーシングシステムにおいて、前記情報処理端末が、前記企業ごとに、登録された前記個人情報と、購買履歴情報を含む付随情報を管理する構成としてある。
このようにすると、顧客の個人情報や付随情報は、各企業単位で管理されるので、自社に関する情報を効率良く利用することができる。

また、請求項4記載の発明は、上記請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のメール配信アウトソーシングシステムにおいて、前記情報処理端末が、前記顧客ごとに、登録された前記個人情報と、購買履歴情報を含む付随情報を管理する構成としてある。
このようにすると、個人情報や付随情報は、各顧客単位で管理されるので、顧客に関する情報を効率良く利用することができる。

このようにすると、付随情報を活用して、例えば、企業の持つ顧客情報と過去の購買履歴を関連付けて顧客のニーズを予測して、メール配信を行う顧客を選択することができるので、より効果的なメール配信を行うことができる。

このようにすると、企業は、メール配信された電子メールからマーケティング情報を得ることができ、マーケティングを精度良く行うことができる。

また、本発明の請求項9記載のメール配信アウトソーシングプログラムは、通信回線を介して企業の情報をメール配信する、メール配信業務を委託されたメール配信アウトソーシング会社の情報処理端末に、前記通信回線上に、前記企業の情報を提供する旨のホームページを掲載する手順と、前記企業の情報提供を受けたい顧客の登録及び前記情報を提供する企業の指定を受け付け、前記顧客の個人情報に関する顧客データベースを作成する手順と、前記企業からのメール配信依頼を受けると、登録された前記顧客の顧客端末に前記情報をメール配信する手順とを実行させる構成としてある。

このように、本発明は、メール配信アウトソーシングプログラムとしても有効であり、企業が、メール配信を行うための情報処理端末を所有していなくても、アウトソーシング会社の情報処理端末にプログラムを実行させることができるので、効率良くメール配信したり、マーケティングを行うことができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施形態について、図面を参照して説明する。
まず、本発明のメール配信アウトソーシングシステムの実施形態について、図面を参照して説明する。

[メール配信アウトソーシングシステム]
図1は、本発明に係るメール配信アウトソーシングシステムの実施形態の基本構成を説明するための概略ブロック図を示している。
同図において、メール配信アウトソーシングシステム1は、企業端末2,顧客端末3,通信回線4及び情報処理端末5とで構成してある。

企業端末2は、顧客に情報を提供する企業が使用する端末であり、インターネットなどの通信回線4と接続してあり、通信回線4を介して、顧客端末3や情報処理端末5と接続されている。
なお、本発明では、情報を提供するものを企業とし、情報の提供を受けるものを顧客としてあるが、これに限定されるものではなく、例えば、サッカーチーム同好会がチーム状況などの情報を提供し、サッカーファンが情報の提供を受けてもよいことは勿論である。

また、上記情報は、通常、商品やサービスに関する宣伝情報であるが、これに限定されるものではなく、顧客が有料でも必要とする情報(例えば、各種占いや予想,各種教育,ビジネスレポートなど)としてもよい。かかる場合には、情報の配信料及び/又は個人情報の登録料を有料とすることにより、情報の提供者は収入を得ることができる。

また、企業端末2が、通信回線4上にホームページを掲載していると、顧客によっては、情報処理端末5が掲載したホームページにアクセスしないで、企業端末2が掲載したホームページにアクセスして情報提供を希望する旨の通信を行うことも想定される。
このような場合には、企業端末2は、顧客の個人情報を情報処理端末5に登録するとよく、このようにすることにより、企業端末2の代りに情報処理端末5が情報を配信することができる。
つまり、顧客にとっては、企業端末2又は情報処理端末5が掲載したホームページを介して、個人情報を登録することができるので、より利用しやすくなる。

情報処理端末5は、企業から委託されてメール配信業務を行うメール配信アウトソーシング会社が使用する、ワークステーション・サーバ等の情報処理装置であり、通信回線4を介して企業端末2や顧客端末3と接続されている。
情報処理端末5は、図2に示すように、ホームページ掲載機能51、顧客データベース管理機能52、電子メール配信機能53、クリック計測機能54、及び購買履歴一時保持機能55を有する構成としてある。

このホームページは、図示してないが、メール配信される情報や情報を提供する企業名などが表示されており、情報提供を希望する顧客が、希望する情報や企業名を入力すると、氏名やメールアドレスなどの個人情報の入力を促して登録を受け付けたり、登録している顧客の登録の解除を受け付ける。

ここで、顧客は、情報を提供する企業を指定することができるので、指定していない企業からの情報はメール配信されず、勝手に電子メールが送られてきて困るといった不具合を解消することができる。
なお、希望する情報だけを指定し、情報提供を希望する企業を指定しなくてもよく、また、情報提供を希望する企業だけを指定し、希望する情報を指定しなくてもよい。

情報処理端末5は、顧客データベース管理機能として、情報提供を希望して登録した顧客の氏名やメールアドレスなどの個人情報をデータベース化して管理する。
ここで、情報処理端末5は、各企業ごとに個人情報や付随情報をデータベース化してあり、情報処理端末5が掲載したホームページから得た個人情報の他に、企業が有している個人情報をも含めて一つのデータベースとして管理しているので、自社に関する情報を効率良く利用することができる。
なお、企業が有している個人情報のなかに、企業が通信回線4上に掲載したホームページにアクセスして情報提供を希望した顧客や、店頭で商品等を購入したとき会員として登録した顧客などの個人情報を含めるものとする。

また、顧客データベースに格納する情報は、顧客の氏名やメールアドレス等の情報に限定されるものではなく、例えば、購買履歴に関する情報などの付随情報を含めてもよく、このようにすることにより、企業は、購買履歴などを参考にして、メール配信を行う顧客をより効果的に選出することができる。
さらに、情報処理端末5は、メール配信業務を委託している企業に向けて、通信回線4上に顧客情報設定画面を掲載してあり、企業は、この顧客情報設定画面を介して、独自に入手した顧客の個人情報や付随情報を顧客データベースに容易に設定登録することができる。

情報処理端末5は、メール配信機能として、企業からの情報を顧客データベースに登録された顧客端末3にメール配信する。
ここで、情報処理端末5は、メール配信業務を委託している企業に向けて、通信回線4上にメール配信設定画面を掲載しており、企業は、このメール配信設定画面を介して、顧客データベースに設定登録してある顧客のなかから、例えば、顧客が住んでいる地域や購買履歴などの情報にもとづいて、メール配信する顧客を選出することができる。
なお、情報処理端末5は、顧客データベースに設定登録してある顧客端末3の全てに情報をメール配信してもよいことは勿論である。

顧客端末3は、通信回線4を介して、企業端末2や情報処理端末5と接続されたパーソナルコンピュータ等の情報処理装置である。
顧客は、顧客端末3を介して、情報処理端末5が通信回線4上に提供しているホームページにアクセスし、情報提供を希望する企業を指定し、自己の個人情報を登録する。また、顧客は、情報の提供を希望しなくなったときは、同様にホームページにアクセスし、登録を解除する。

次に、上記構成のメール配信アウトソーシングシステム1の動作について説明する。
メール配信アウトソーシング会社は、情報処理端末5が、メール配信業務を委託する企業に向けて、通信回線4上にホームページを掲載している。
そして、顧客に情報を提供する企業は、メール配信アウトソーシング会社とメール配信業務の委託契約を結ぶことにより、メール配信業務をメール配信アウトソーシング会社に委託する。

次に、情報処理端末5は、情報の提供を希望する顧客に向けて通信回線4上に掲載したホームページに、新たにメール配信業務の委託契約を結んだ企業及びこの企業が提供する情報を追加し、ホームページにアクセスする顧客に紹介する。希望する企業からの情報提供を受けたい顧客は、自分の顧客端末3を介して、情報処理端末5や企業端末2が通信回線4上に掲載しているホームページにアクセスし、図示してないが、希望する情報や情報提供を希望する企業を入力する。そして、顧客は、ホームページにある情報提供を受けるための登録/解除画面(図3参照)を開いて、登録枠41に自分のメールアドレスを入力し、登録ボタンをクリックする。

続いて、ホームページは、詳細情報画面(図4参照)を表示し、顧客に住所や氏名などの詳細な個人情報を、住所枠43や氏名枠44などに入力させる。
ここで、個人情報は、住所や氏名に限定されるものではなく、例えば、年齢,既婚の有無,生年月日などを含めてもよい。また、付随情報は、購買履歴情報などを含めてもよい。

ここで、企業は、顧客を選出する条件、すなわち、配信先を絞り込む情報を配信先選出指定画面に入力すると、情報処理端末5が顧客データベースを検索して該当する顧客を選出する。
また、顧客を選出する条件として、例えば、図5に示すように、顧客の住所(都道府県名)や生年月日、過去の購買履歴などを、住所・生年月日枠61および購買履歴枠62などに入力する。

なお、購買履歴情報は、企業が運営するサイトへの訪問履歴の情報や、サイト上又はリアルな店舗での販売履歴の情報などを含むものとする。
つまり、メール配信に関して、企業は、企業端末2を使い通信回線4を通じて、情報処理端末5にある顧客データベースと企業の持つ過去の顧客別売上履歴情報にもとづいてメールの配信先を選出し、情報を顧客へメール配信する。
また、メール配信する情報量を限定することにより、メールの開封率を向上させることができる。

また、企業は、メール配信設定画面(図6参照)を開き、配信開始時間や配信するメールの内容を、配信開始時間枠63やメール内容枠64に入力することができる。
そして、企業端末2からメール配信の指示を受けた情報処理端末5は、入力された配信開始時間に、入力されたメール内容を、選出された配信先に電子メール配信装置を使ってメール配信する。

次に、情報を受け取った顧客は、顧客端末3でメール内容を確認し、必要な情報のURLをクリックする。
ここで、情報処理端末5は、配信した電子メールが返送されていないか、あるいは、電子メールが開かれたかを確認する。

そして、例えば、約1週間の集計期間を経た後、企業は、企業端末2を使って情報処理端末5が計測したクリック計測結果(図8参照)を表示又は印刷することで、メール内容の有効性を確認することができる。
さらに、URLのクリック計測結果を分析することで最も効果的なメール配信のスケジュール計画の立案に役立てることができ、これら一連の電子メールマーケティング環境を一つのパッケージとし、これをアウトソースすることができる。

次に、顧客は、情報提供を必要としなくなったとき、顧客端末3を介して、上述した情報提供を受けるための登録/解除画面(図3参照)を開いて、解除枠42に自分の解除したいメールアドレスを入力し、解除ボタンをクリックする。
そして、情報処理端末5は、顧客端末3から解除ボタン信号を入力すると、情報提供を必要としない顧客端末3へメール配信を行うことを中止する。
なお、情報処理端末5は、解除ボタン信号を入力した際、直ちに、顧客の個人情報を全て顧客データベースよりその記録を抹消するが、これに限定されるものではなく、一定期間保管しその後消去してもよい。

また、情報処理端末5は、メール配信業務を委託した企業に対し、月ごとのEメール配信数、および顧客データベースに登録されている顧客数等にもとづいて、レンタル費用を計算し企業に費用を請求する。

また、情報処理端末5は、過去に購入した商品の組み合わせなどから顧客のニーズを予測し、顧客が次に購入するであろう商品に関する情報をメール配信してもよく、このようにすることにより、商品購入の確率を高めることができる。

さらに、付随情報は、顧客の購買履歴情報に限定されるものではなく、例えば、顧客のライフステージ情報などを含めてもよく、このようにすることにより、顧客が必要をしていると予測される、保険や不動産などの情報をタイミング良くメール配信でき、いろいろな企業がもつ顧客情報を効果的に使用したメール配信を行うことができる。
ここで、情報処理端末5が、顧客ごとに、登録された個人情報と、購買履歴情報などの付随情報を管理する構成とするとよく、このようにすると、個人情報や付随情報は、各顧客単位で管理されるので、顧客に関する情報を効率良く利用することができる。

[メール配信アウトソーシング方法]
続いて、上記のように構成されたメール配信アウトソーシングシステムを稼働させるメール配信アウトソーシング方法について、図面を参照して説明する。
図9は、本発明に係るメール配信アウトソーシング方法のメール配信を説明するための概略タイムチャート図を示している。

同図において、まず、顧客へ情報を提供する企業が、インターネット等の通信回線4を介して情報をメール配信する業務を、メール配信アウトソーシング会社に委託する(ステップS1)。
続いて、顧客が、メール配信する情報を提供する企業を指定して、メールアドレス等の個人情報を企業又はメール配信アウトソーシング会社に登録し、情報処理端末5がこの個人情報を顧客データベース(DB)に登録する(ステップS2)。

また、顧客が情報提供を必要としなくなったとき、自己の個人情報を解除すると、情報処理端末5が顧客データベースを削除する(ステップS8)。
